Chapter 1436: Chapter 1426: Hearts in Harmony

The principal looked at Jiang Cheng with a playful expression, and a wave of fear spread within him. Because the person in front of him was someone he knew he absolutely couldn’t afford to provoke. Unfortunately, he happened to provoke him.

"You can leave now! Starting tomorrow, you don’t need to come to school." The principal was indeed smart, directly shifting all the responsibility to the head of teaching.

"But the principal..." The head of teaching looked at Jiang Cheng, fumbling for words, not knowing what to say.

Silently watching the drama unfold from the side, Xu Ying suddenly spoke, and her words were bound to be surprising. "Alright, let him get out of here! From now on, I am the new head of teaching at this school. Let’s pretend none of this happened."

Jiang Cheng turned to look at Xu Ying in confusion, with displeasure on his face. He was put on the spot, and why should he let this young girl brush it off just like that?

On his first day of class, Jiang Cheng got up early. But in his first class, a student with a fat figure blatantly disrespected Jiang Cheng by lying on the desk sleeping, occasionally letting out snoring sounds.

The surrounding students seemed used to it. Jiang Cheng frowned in displeasure but continued with the lecture.

This student seemed aware of Jiang Cheng’s gaze, having heard of the arrival of a new teacher. The child looked up at the teacher, then continued to lie down and sleep, ignoring Jiang Cheng.

After all, he was the son of the Deputy Director of Education, and even the principal had to respect him to some extent. If there’s a problem, just go to his dad. He then continued to sleep.

Jiang Cheng looked at the arrogant boy in front of him, furrowing his brows in annoyance. This was his first class, and how could he let this kid disrupt the classroom discipline like this, kids these days!

Thinking back to his original intention of coming to this school, Jiang Cheng approached the child and knocked on his desk.

The child looked up and met Jiang Cheng’s eyes, feeling a bit guilty as he darted a glance at Jiang Cheng, grabbed his textbook, and continued to sleep. Nearby students glanced at Jiang Cheng, then at the child.

Suddenly, the class was in an uproar. But the commotion didn’t last long; Jiang Cheng glared at the child, and after feeling the gaze, the child eventually sat up. He flipped through the new book in front of him.

Jiang Cheng thought that after waking up, he wouldn’t sleep again, but after some time, he still saw the student lying on the desk sleeping.

Feeling somewhat upset, Jiang Cheng woke him up again and admonished: "Your family sent you to school to learn, not to sleep. If you want to sleep, you’d be better off sleeping at home; it’s so comfortable there. Why come to school?"

The child, having been woken up and scolded by a mere teacher, felt ashamed and thought his reputation in class was lost.

He disdainfully replied: "What does it matter to you if I sleep? I sleep my sleep, you teach your class. If you wake me again, I’ll be rude to you, even hit a teacher. Do you even know who I am? You dare to speak to me, even the principal dares not manage me, and you, a newcomer, want to compete with me?"

Jiang Cheng directly called Director Yang, briefly describing the situation. Director Yang hurried over after hearing the news, looking helplessly at the child. He glanced apologetically at Jiang Cheng.

Jiang Cheng remained expressionless. Tossing a remark, "You can take over this class and handle the child," he carried the child away. Director Yang watched the two walk away, shaking his head helplessly.

Jiang Cheng didn’t bother talking to the child anymore and directly took him to the principal’s office. The principal was looking at some tasks, and the door suddenly swung open, naturally angering him. But seeing it was Jiang Cheng, he instantly backed down, inquiring flatteringly, "Oh, Jiang, what brings you here?"

Jiang Cheng got straight to the point: "I heard from a student that you told them to sleep during class hours?" His tone was cold, face emotionless. The principal, seeing the student, was instantly stunned.

Regretting not transferring this child earlier, the principal’s palms were sweaty and his face smirked awkwardly.

Seeing the principal’s troubled expression, Jiang Cheng said: "This is quite irresponsible of you, Principal!"

Just as he finished speaking, the child interrupted: "Who do you think you are, what’s the big deal, what’s wrong with me sleeping during class, huh? Who do you think my dad is, huh?"

The principal seemed to find a new excuse, grabbing the child and saying: "Jiang, as you see, it’s not that I’m not dealing with it; his dad keeps the pressure on me, saying not to interfere. I can’t do anything,"

Jiang Cheng sneered, unsurprised by the principal’s stance. Once his interests were threatened, everything could be sold out. But this was exactly the result he wanted. Seeing the principal sweating profusely, Jiang Cheng felt a rush of satisfaction within.

Jiang Cheng was mulling over how to involve Boss Li, but unexpectedly, the principal offered: "Jiang, here’s the phone number of the head of the education team, check it out."

Jiang Cheng, without further ado, took the phone and answered. The child remained arrogant. The principal glared at the child disapprovingly, but his resentment-laden gaze couldn’t be blocked. It was as if being blocked on his path, treated like a thorn in the eye and a stab in the heart.

Once the call connected, Jiang Cheng directly spoke: "Hello! Boss Li? There’s a student here who claims to be the son of the Deputy Director of Education, and he’s relying on his father’s authority to run wild in school, violating school rules. If one can spoil a child like this, it seems this Deputy Director isn’t an upright person. I suggest you investigate this Deputy Director! That’s just my suggestion, do as you see fit, alright, no more matters, hanging up!"

Turning back to the principal, Jiang Cheng said that as the principal, he shouldn’t be afraid to exert authority; such unruly students should be severely punished, even expelled.

The principal knew Jiang Cheng’s meaning; reaching this position hadn’t been easy, and he wouldn’t give up his position now. He immediately nodded repeatedly, saying: "Alright, alright, I know what to do. It’s a responsibility on my part as well, I’ll reflect properly."

The child listened, dazed for a few seconds, then suddenly realized the gravity of the situation, fervently apologizing to Jiang Cheng, begging desperately. Jiang Cheng coldly glanced at the child in front, with a mix of disdain, and left without looking back.

Though still feeling somewhat fearful, thinking this son of a Deputy Director is so arrogant, it’s terrifying to imagine the children of higher-ups. Reflecting on it evokes fear. The corruption in the Hua Family has reached this extent.

The next day, Jiang Cheng’s class was missing a student. Other students seemed intuitively to avoid discussing yesterday’s events. Yet it seemed everyone was aware of what had happened.

Following yesterday’s events, those with a keen sense understood that the student had probably been expelled from school.

Soon, news spread that the school’s vice principal had been promoted to Deputy Director. Observant people knew what had happened; avoiding Jiang Cheng was a prudent decision. Some speculated it was just timing, a vacancy coincidentally allowing the vice principal to fill the position.

The principal sat in the office, his crimson eyes expressing his discontent. Why? He had done so much, yet he remained as just a principal while the vice principal, who did nothing, got promoted.
