Chapter 1131: Part 2: Heading to City A

Special Base (4th Zone)

After returning to his room, he began to get ready for departure. He packed his things.

He thought it was going to be a long mission. He had participated in a beast invasion battle before.

It was going to be another battle. Yet, there was a heavy feeling. He didn’t know how to pinpoint it.

At the same time, Stella felt his emotions as well.

[Don’t worry. I will take care of the Tier-8 beasts. We will save the city,] she said to him.

Jeremy Night smiled after hearing that. He relaxed. He knew Stella’s true strength; with her presence, he could fight through any situation.

Then, he resumed his work. Stella was relieved. She had thought Jeremy was still sad about the recruitment. She decided to do well in the upcoming battle. That way, the name of Jeremy Night would become famous.

Time passed.

Nighttime had come. He left the room and headed towards the administration building. On the way, he sent a message to Elder John, Elder Smith, and Elder Leah.

It didn’t take long for him to get a reply from them. Elder John sent him a message saying that he should get his tickets from the mission desk. He then checked the other messages.

The other elders wished him well.

Shortly afterward, he got a new message from someone surprising. The person was none other than Elder Sandra.

[I heard you are leaving right now. I’m impressed with your decision, young man. Don’t think about the recruitment. You will get your opportunity soon, and your future will be bright.]

Jeremy Night’s mood improved after reading the message. He sent a text back saying that he was grateful for her words.

He continued heading towards the administration building. He was truly grateful for their encouragement. When he arrived, he went to the mission desk.

He didn’t see Elder Smith this time; his shift might have been over. He asked the other elders about his ticket. The elders there had already been informed about Jeremy Night.

So, one of them took a boarding pass and handed it to Jeremy. He took the pass and left the building. He went to the runway and waited for the special flight to arrive.

Twenty minutes later, the special fortified plane landed on the runway. By this time, Jeremy Night was not the only one there. There were others with him. A few teams from the first year were leaving for the city as well.

He didn’t converse with them, but they were surprised to see him.

They boarded the plane and took their seats one by one. Jeremy Night sat in a window seat.

The plane departed.

The following day, the plane reached City A in the early morning. Upon arrival, everyone felt the changes in the environment. The natural energy was rich here.

Stella awoke and started absorbing the natural energy. She felt how pure it was and realized that they were in City A.

Jeremy Night woke up from his sleep as well. He looked through the window. They had arrived in City A. The other passengers on the flight woke up too.

They discussed going back to their families, whereas Jeremy Night thought about reporting to the Beast Taming Association first. The flight approached the runway and landed carefully.

Everyone began to disembark one by one. Jeremy Night exited the flight and touched the ground. They headed towards the exit and walked out twenty minutes later.

He approached a cab and spoke with the driver, who agreed to take him to the Beast Taming Association. He entered the cab and sat down. The driver then started the vehicle and departed.

The cab hovered in mid-air and headed towards the destination. Jeremy Night watched the passing scenery through the window. He saw that the streets were empty.

Most of the shops were closed. He understood the reason: most of the Beast Tamers were fighting in the wilderness. As time went by, he finally spotted a few beast tamers here and there.

A hint of relief flashed in his eyes.

A few minutes later, the cab reached its destination. He stepped out of the car and paid the fare to the driver. He looked around. There was no one nearby, and the winds were quite strong.

Dry leaves were falling from the trees. He knew that City A was big and had a massive population, but now most of them were in the wilderness. He couldn’t imagine how many corrupted beasts had appeared there.

A sense of seriousness dawned on him. He turned towards the building and headed to the entrance. He opened the door and went inside.

He entered the lobby and saw the admin staff. There was more than one staff member present. Upon seeing Jeremy Night, they were taken aback. How could they forget this young man? He was the golden card holder.

He was also one of the best talents from the special base.

"Jeremy Night, what are you doing here?" one of the staff members asked.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night smiled and greeted the staff. He told them he had come to participate in the battle. The staff was surprised to hear this.

However, they appreciated Jeremy Night’s help. He then told them he was going to freshen up first. He was aware of the facilities on each floor. Soon, he reached the washroom and began to get ready.

Stella continued to absorb the natural energy from the surroundings. She was satisfied with the place.

Twenty minutes later, he walked out in fresh clothes. He felt refreshed. He went back to meet the staff and began inquiring about the wilderness.

The staff was now more welcoming towards Jeremy Night. They understood that the talented beast tamer was there to help them, so they began to share the details with him.

They shared the current updates regarding the wilderness. Jeremy Night listened closely; he wanted to know what was going on.

If there were dangerous beasts he needed to be aware of, he should know right now. The faces of the admin staff were grim, because the current situation was dire.
