Chapter 1095: The Hiding Tier-8 Beasts

Jeremy Night was heading back. He hadn’t even let Stella outside. In order to cover more distance, he was using the Feathered Steps.

He heard Stella’s voice the next second. He used his eye power and looked around. He didn’t see anyone on the ground.

Jeremy heard her voice in his mind. His eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He felt he had done the right thing by deciding to leave. He didn’t know what the worsening situation was.

It had forced the two City Governors to leave their offices. For a second, he paused and took a deep breath. It was not like him. He had never run away from a Beast Invasion-type situation.

Whether it was in his home zone or other zones, he had always contributed. But Lord Martha’s words were weighing down on his mind.

Just one careless mistake could spoil everything. He deeply wanted to stay and monitor the situation. At the same time, he wanted to think logically.

He decided to practice inside the special practice room. He didn’t want to waste the opportunity, because he had seen Stella absorbing the natural energy inside the mental zone.

So he decided to go to the Beast Taming Association. Next, he stopped a cab that was passing by. The cab stopped in front of him.

Next, he hopped inside the cab. He told the cab driver his destination. The cab driver started driving the car.

The cab rose into midair. It started heading toward the Beast Taming Association. The cab arrived at the destination twenty minutes later.

It stopped in front of the Beast Taming Association.

Jeremy Night stepped out of the car. He paid the fare to the driver. Next, he went toward the Beast Taming Association building.

After reaching the entrance, he went inside. His gaze swept across the place. There were Beast Tamers going about their business in the nighttime.

Then he went to the admin desk. He saw the night-shift staff. There was more than one staff member behind the desk.

Upon seeing Jeremy Night, their expressions shifted dramatically. They didn’t know why the young man had come back again.

"Hi, I want to spend time in the special practice room," Jeremy Night said.

"We heard you went to the wilderness. Did you complete the mission?" one of the staff members asked.

Hearing that, his eyes flickered. He had almost forgotten about it.

"I have completed the mission," he replied.

The staff member was surprised. He then asked Jeremy to follow him.

Jeremy needed to submit the mission materials. He quickly followed the staff member. They came to the mission room.

Creak!

After going inside, the staff member asked him to take out the mission materials. Jeremy looked around the room. The room was spacious.

He then took out the corpse of the Tier-5 Two-Headed Lizard. He placed it on the floor.

The male staff member was shocked. He knew the mission details: it was to hunt a Tier-4 Two-Headed Lizard.

Seeing the corpse of a Tier-5 Two-Headed Lizard on the ground left him stunned. He looked at the young man from top to bottom.

Jeremy Night noticed the staff member’s reaction.

He said, "I tried to find a Tier-4 beast, but I couldn’t find one. Instead, I came across this Tier-5 beast, so I took the chance to kill it."

The staff member came back to his senses. He understood that the young man could fight across tiers. He then began to inspect the corpse.

He saw only a single blade wound on the neck; the blood vessels were cleanly severed. His gaze then fell on the unsheathed blade.

He understood. Next, he took out his device and approved the mission as successful.

"I’ve approved it. The credit points will be updated shortly," the staff member said.

Jeremy agreed. Next, it was time to enter the special practice room. They returned to the admin desk, where he had his golden card scanned.

Then he took the elevator to reach the special practice room floor. After arriving at the floor, he picked his usual room.

He used the golden card on the panel. The door opened automatically. He then went inside the special practice room. The door behind him shut.

[We are in the same place again.]

He heard Stella’s voice.

"Yes, I decided to spend the rest of our time here. We will be heading back to the special base two days from now," he said to Stella.

Then he went to the console and turned on the switches.

He came to the middle and sat cross-legged on the ground. Next, the natural energy flowed out from the inlet.

The natural energy spread across the room. It was rich, pure, and dense. He started running the natural energy method.

The natural energy drifted toward his body. When it entered his body, he began to guide it.

As the natural energy flowed through the pathways, his cells began to absorb it.

At the same time, Stella, inside the mental zone, began to absorb the natural energy as well. It was all disappearing into her wings.

The two City Governors reached the border. They spotted an influx of higher-tier beasts entering the wilderness.

Most of them were Tier-6 and Tier-7 beasts. They hadn’t found any Tier-8 beasts, but the Governors were not naive.

They suspected the Tier-8 beasts could be hiding nearby.

Corvin said, "Let’s not bring out our lifeline beasts yet."

"Why don’t we go our separate ways to search the border stretch?" Garran said.

Hearing that, Corvin agreed. Then they departed from the area. On the way, they quietly struck down a few Tier-7 beasts so they wouldn’t burden the Beast Tamers.

As time passed, they killed more than twenty Tier-7 beasts along the way. This was significantly going to reduce the burden.

On the other hand, Tier-8 beasts were hiding in the unknown land. Not just one, but a few Tier-8 beasts were close to the border.

However, they were all hiding their presence. It wouldn’t be long before they exposed themselves. Corvin spotted one of them quickly.

He didn’t act right away because he discovered there was more than one Tier-8 beast. A chill ran down his spine.

He didn’t know how these Tier-8 beasts had appeared all of a sudden.

On the other side, Garran came across Tier-8 Corrupted beasts that were hiding in the unknown land close to the border.
