Chapter 2118: Establishing the Worlds. Past, Future, and Present (IV)
Li Hao waved a hand, seeming to overturn heaven and earth. A divine nation descended and the presences of countless beings appeared!
It took only a split second for endless humans to appear wherever the river touched. There were too many to count. Their masses teemed throughout the river.
These were all the inhabitants of the divine nation, but ones that were now a bit slow on the uptake. They’d spent so much time immersed in faith that their own minds were beginning to be erased.
Li Hao sighed as these humans arrived on the scene and created more worlds to hold them. They still remained in a dull, befuddled state!
The young man sighed once more. If the situation had dragged on any longer... these humans would’ve all turned into robots. They would never be able to return to normal.
And now... while they still wouldn’t be normal, they would at least be ordinary people. They could live our ordinary lives in this chaos.
The star of time at the end of the river expanded furiously when his thoughts traveled here!
This was the world for humans that he’d designated. Naturally, he would be biased toward his own. It wasn’t big enough to settle such a large population, so while Li Hao hesitated, he ultimately came to a decision. He reached out and summoned another world!
It was Great Li World!
Most of the humans in that world were those who refused to place their belief in faith. Their spirit hadn’t been extinguished. Perhaps they could be the foundation of humanity’s development in the new chaos!
They were fearsomely proud and retained a great sum of memories. However, they weren’t strong and didn’t know much, yet retained their intelligence...
This was the base of humanity’s future rise!
In that case, the Great Li king had educated them well. However, he couldn’t continue in this role forever and be a mundane leader. In that case... it was better to free the Human King!
These humans might all rise in the future. Li Hao was placing them inside the star of time at the moment to serve as the foundation of the human world.
Countless humans looked blearily at the sky. What was that?
They seemed to have seen something... a sword... and the chaos being split open!
Among them, a very young child’s jaw dropped at what he saw. He was quite stunned. Was the sky broken?
Li Hao suddenly frowned and slashed out with his sword. He laughed with some resignation. “How is there so much death qi intermixed among them? I didn’t sense it ahead of time...”
That’s just as well, a lot of beings died just now and the presence of death is dense.
He waved a hand and suppressed endless death qi at the bottom of the river!
Too much death qi wasn’t a good thing. This world lacked some vitality at the moment, so death qi couldn’t be allowed to run rampant. It might interfere with future development.
Just as Li Hao shoved all of the data qi into the river, the child in the world looked around with wide eyes.
“Daddy...” he murmured and yanked for his father behind him. “I think I see... the sky breaking... Has something fallen into... a river?”
“Don’t speak wildly, Yin! Run! The sky is falling and the land is shaking...”
It’d taken only a second for the humans to switch worlds, so the move hadn’t registered on their senses. All they knew was that a massive earthquake was upon them. A middle-aged man scooped up the child and started running. The little child tilted his head back at the sky!
It’s real, daddy, I saw it! I saw something fall into the river!
What was it?
The child wasn’t afraid, just curious. He seemed to see a massive black ball falling into a river.
A river?
Where did it come from?
That was weird!
Was there a river in the sky?
The scene branded itself in his memory and planted a seed. He only recalled that on this day, the skies and earth changed color. Countless people fled in all directions, but he remembered that something fell into the river.
The river in the sky!
......
A large number of demons and gods were rushing Li Hao. The young man dispatched them one by one!
His sword was fracturing. So many demons and gods were dying that blood qi suffused the river!
There was hatred, fury, greed, and madness. The chaos brimmed from these emotions and even order was dyed blood-red.
Some spirits shot toward the horizon and vanished from the chaos. Others were promptly obliterated and became part of chaos dao. They tempered the powerful river, making it longer and more stable.
Waves appeared on it, clarifying the outlines of a group of people. They seemed to be... arriving from the future. They could see someone waging war in all directions, cutting down endless demons and gods. All of them gaped, openmouthed!
Emperor Yu upon the river raised an eyebrow. I seem... to have really... traveled to the day that the chaos was established!
Is this the master of time opening the chaos?
Does this mean that I’ll be able to leave soon?
He was delighted, but also... wanted to curse Li Hao. The old geezer is smiling at me, and in a very uncanny fashion!
The fuck??
What are you smiling for?!
The sight of you pisses me off lately, but you’re smiling!
Li Hao’s smile widened as he suddenly disturbed the river. It thrashed wildly before his voice echoed through the void. “The past and future should not overlap... Don’t go running around and wreck the order of space and time, kid. This isn’t a place for you! Problems will result from the past and future overlapping. Just continue on your own path!”
The river undulated and shook violently!
“What are you doing, old geezer?!” raged Emperor Yu.
Rumble!!
The river flailed, throwing even Su Yu around. He was about to be thrown into a branch of the river, which prompted a fresh string of curses.
That damned old fart!
He’s too much! I’m going to beat him to death sooner or later! What the hell is he doing?! Is he burning the bridges after him?!
You needed my help last time alright??
The river completely overturned as Su Yu yowled with outrage and was churned somewhere unknown by a massive wave. Darkness came down around him and the river seemed to disappear.
Su Yu looked blankly around him, at a complete loss.
Where... am I?
There was a star in the distance, dim and dark. A figure could be seen on it. Su Yu smiled with surprise when he looked at it. There was... a star of time in his hand!
The person upon the star also broke out in a grin. He looked at the group of people that’d popped out of nowhere. They seemed a bit illusory, but also real.
“The past, present, and future have gotten completely out of order!” he murmured.
Absolutely out of order!
The second generation had given up time!
How surprising. It looks like the future I saw really wasn’t the only one. Perhaps everything really can change.
He smiled and looked into the distance before vanishing from the star. Is that... the third generation? But he doesn’t seem to have mastered time either.
Perhaps that should take place now!
There are fifty great daos, but you’ve only grasped forty-nine. You’re one dao down before you can truly make it out and cast off the shadow from the second generation.
Su Yu blinked outside the world, still lost, but quickly sensing something. He stared with wide eyes. Where... am I?
Why is this place so weird?
......
Inside the blood-red world.
A group of people disappeared as the river undulated. Li Hao grinned. This wasn’t the time for that one from the future to appear yet. If they did so now, they might overlap with themselves in the present and future.
That was because some of the people by that one’s side still existed in the present. They were even in the new chaos right this very moment!
If the present combined with the future now, space and time would be thrown into an utter disarray.
As for where the other had been dumped... who knew?
Perhaps the past!
If he’d been deposited in the past, then none of the beings by his side would overlap with their current selves. That would ensure to the greatest degree possible that space and time remained on course. It would also prevent the river’s collapse.
There weren’t that many places the future emperor could go. Perhaps only the appearance of the river in the past could receive that guy.
...War!
Was that so?
Indeed, he might be the only one who could provide an anchor for that guy if he used the river of time at some point. That would create a complete timeline between the past, present, and future.
The longsword continued to create worlds as Li Hao dwelled with his thoughts. The river of time also continued to extend.
“The moment I give up the river and the moment you die... means that there is only one time in this world!” Li Hao murmured.
Time will no longer belong to me. Perhaps the master of time in your eyes is me, but you’re wrong. You’re the master of time. What I pursue isn’t time.
Your name... is Su Yu, is it?
Li Hao seemed to hear something when the river solidified and he smiled at what he saw. He refocused on his work of establishing worlds and killing the demons and gods!
He cut down large swathes of his targets, finally instilling fear in some of them and staving off further charges. Some of the demons and gods began fleeing instead.
A horrified Demon Flame had long retreated far, far away. Too strong!
The master of time, Li Hao, was almost invincible in his eyes. He was too strong to be believed. Could anyone really stand against such an immense existence?
Who could kill this demon?
No one could do it!
Waves rocked the river and filled the void with their sound. The enormous river began to occupy half of the chaos and compress the living space available to the demons and gods.
Li Hao’s longsword was breaking. Countless supernatural characters had melded into the great dao. The young man was starting to tire as he’d consumed too much strength and energy.
