Chapter 2116: Establishing the Worlds. Past, Future, and Present (II)
Forefather Blood set foot through the void and arrived in front of Li Hao. Although he was a bit apprehensive, he shouted again, “Are you going to hand over the treasure or not?!”
“You seriously... have a death wish!” Li Hao shook his head. He didn’t have the energy to spare for this guy. The flow of time inside and outside the chaos was different, but with Heaven’s Stratagem having shown itself and order beginning to rebuild, that meant that the dao of time was returning to him soon.
He had grand aspirations in mind. There was no time to waste with this guy!
Go have fun in a playground somewhere!
“Considering that you are the spirit of blood dao and the first connate god of this chaos, I will give you one chance. Are you going to withdraw or not?”
Li Hao rarely gave people chances. But since this was a chaos that he’d created, so he was particularly tolerant of Forefather Blood.
I’ll give you one shot. Leave, and this will all be water under the bridge. You’re not part of the Human King or Silver Moon’s group. It’s not a big deal if they die, they’re just eliminated from this chaos.
You’re a real being of this chaos, a connate spirit.
Sure, you have a lot of different spirit mixed in with you, but it’s been a difficult achievement nonetheless.
You’ve also inherited some of my ideas and bloodline, so you’re half a son to me. Well... okay, forget that last part. My son wouldn’t be so ugly and bloody all over!
Li Hao ignored the last part of his thoughts.
“Withdraw?” sneered Forefather Blood. “Are you afraid?”
“You’re... seriously stubborn!” Li Hao’s jaw dropped. Me? Afraid? What part of this comes across as scared to you? Have I even twitched so far?
Seeing that some of the spirits in the distance were also starting to draw near, the young man shook his head. In that case... there was no need for further talk. It’d been one of his darker periods in life when the strength of desire was stronger.
When desire was intermixed in the blood... that meant that this Forefather Blood was probably full of desire.
Oh well!
Being one spirit down won’t mean anything. It won’t affect anything.
Li Hao’s sword unsheathed!
Forefather Blood was immensely strong, but this chaos belonged to Li Hao. He’d also been improving over these years as well. He could even feel the exact moment in which time started returning!
Li Hao didn’t say anything, he struck with his sword!
A streak of sword light illuminated the void, lighting up the entire chaos!
Forefather Blood simply felt like... the chaos had been ripped apart. He looked around in a daze, not sure of how to react. What kind of sword was that?
Sword light flared!
The sword struck, and the sword retreated!
Everything was completed in one go.
Li Hao looked at Forefather Blood. A bloody mark had appeared on the being’s face. Blood qi shot in all directions and flooded the chaos. Some of the spirits standing closer by were immediately enveloped!
Li Hao simply took a glance before looking away. Those affected seemed to be human spirits. As for who they were, he wasn’t interested in knowing.
He didn’t look at Forefather Blood again, but at the star beginning to appear in the sky. The young man flashed a genuine smile. Time had returned!
Li Hao floated upward and passed through the world, leaving Forefather Blood behind. Blood qi had completely streamed out of the being and he stared dumbly at the sky, at the figure rising through it.
“One sword stroke...? How was that possible?”
It wasn’t possible!
I am invincible in the chaos and on my world... how could this have happened?
Forefather Blood teetered, looking around him. Who... am I?
And who... is he?
He tottered into the distance as his body began to fall apart.
“I... could not stand against even one of his strokes.” He smiled with dejection. “This is the one who is truly invincible...”
So everything he’d thought of had been but an illusion. Sword User doesn’t even care about me. He killed me with one stroke!
I’m dying!
My path of invincibility ends here.
He tilted his head back at the sky, seeing that person rise ever higher. Something seemed to have floated out of the void, something stronger than the book. It was like a star hovering in the empty void.
Li Hao smiled radiantly. He didn’t care that he’d destroyed Forefather Blood with one blow. Although the being wasn’t weak, his grasp over great dao was too par. And since order was yet to be established, half of Forefather Blood’s body being made from blood, and being affected by the character of blood...
Even if he was on par with some eighth ranks and even almost matched the late Withdrawal, there was nothing Forefather Blood could do in front of Li Hao.
There were too many limitations on him!
......
Countless demons and gods cowered in the chaos. They were terrified!
Even Demon Flame skulking in the shadows stared with wide eyes and a dropped jaw. He’d take the shape of a beast and had a dragon’s head with a tiger’s body. He looked like a mythical qilin. A black flame danced where his heart would be.
He’d wanted to seize the treasure too! Who would’ve thought that Forefather Blood would be one step faster than him, and this step would turn out to save his life.
Demon Flame’s heart quailed!
Who was this person?!
This scene was so shocking. Forefather Blood was dead after one blow!
In his eyes, Forefather Blood was the number one spirit of the chaos. He was so unparalleled that even Demon Flame would find it as difficult as ascending the heavens to defeat him. But now... he was gone!
“Forefather Blood... is dead?” someone gasped with utter shock and looked into the distance. Forefather Blood seemed to have completely collapsed. Was he dead?
They didn’t know. They just knew that the greatest one they knew of in existence had been defeated with one blow, and now his blood qi raced through the chaos.
After a while, someone looked at those who’d been splattered with blood. “Forefather Blood’s blood essence covered them... then those guys...”
The three affected suddenly started yelling. Their presences strengthened!
They hadn’t been that strong among the ranks of demons and gods, but now their presences built to the point where those around them tilted their heads for a look. They were just about to do something when the powerhouse in the sky laughed like he’d obtained a new treasure. His laughter rang through the void.
“Good, very good! It’s finally back...” Li Hao grinned brilliantly. Time had finally come back to him! No one had intercepted it because no one could.
So long as I’m alive, there’s no choice for those guys to take time!
It’s just that...
The young man frowned when he looked at the star of time in front of him. He could see something from it, then decided to smile uncaringly upon further thought. It looked like Disorder still hadn’t. given up his aspirations!
Are you satisfied only when you get up to some random nonsense?
Very well, I’ll let you have what you want!
You haven’t lost all of your spirit, but you insist on making trouble for me. You stood a decent chance of rising in this new chaos since you were a ninth rank. But... forget it, you should keep quiet.
You won’t be reawakening when the chaos is at peace! You can stretch your legs only when unrest is on the rise again.
This will prevent you from giving me any issues. I speak of playing fair, but if you actually succeed and are the one who walks out of the future chaos... then I’ll cry.
“I wouldn’t care about it if you if you didn’t cause any trouble, but since you insist... and think you’re being so clever about it... then I’ll suppress your spirit!” Li Hao laughed. Of course, this wasn’t the only reason.
He was also worried that this guy was a ninth rank. Wouldn’t there be a lot of trouble if he awoke ahead of time and became a creature of the chaos?
If he wanted to return to being a ninth rank, then he might extract all of the energy from the chaos. Wouldn’t that cause the new chaos to collapse?
You’re too strong!
So it’s better if you settle down and see how your luck plays out. If you’re lucky and an age of unrest develops, that’ll be your cue to reappear. If there is no more upheaval in this chaos, then you can quietly spend your days beneath the river. You can grow old there until your spirit fully fades away.
I control time, after all. Did you really think I wouldn’t be aware of what you were doing?
Li Hao was fully in the know. He carefully perceived the power of disorder intermixed with the great dao and smiled. He didn’t expel it. Disorder was a kind of energy as well. Things always reversed at the extremes. If he only pursued order, then that would make him a second Chaos Sky.
The man had built the western region well, but it was also too fake!
There were no desires or motivation in that region!
But whether it was human or monster spirit, how could one be without desire or motivation?
War and upheaval were also necessary stages of an era’s development. Li Hao was starting to gain an ever clearer understanding of all this.
“That’s fine,” he laughed. “Then I’ll... retain the power of disorder. I wondered why the dude from the future yelled at me last time. I think I’m starting to understand...”
Having such a dense concentration of disorder in the river meant that there would be plenty of conflict in the future. This was not a chaos of peace and tranquilly. There would be plenty of changes of power and the rises and falls of dynasties.
Granted, that was also a good thing.
Li Hao didn’t intend to expunge the disorder from his river. The future might change if he did.
The young man waved a longsword around and chuckled in a low voice.
“I will create the worlds in three days’ time.” His voice echoed throughout the chaos. “I will establish the river of time. All spirits are to avoid my operations! If you are consumed my desire and come forth to cause trouble, I will show no mercy!
“There are fifty great daos, forty-nine which are born in the heavens. Humans hold way over the last one...” Li Hao murmured. I’ll give you guys one last chance!
If you aren’t overcome by greed and don’t approach me, then I won’t kill you! But if you do... I’ll kill you all!
I’ll leave you guys with the sliver of a chance so that we might be able to meet peacefully in the future. With that, the young man was at ease with the vents to come. He’d done everything he should do.
