Chapter 2115: Establishing the Worlds. Past, Future, and Present (I)
Inside the chaos.
Another few hundred years passed by in the blink of an eye after Forefather Blood created his world. Time seemed worthless here as it passed in great batches.
The demons and gods of the chaos were busy fighting and killing each other over this period of time. The strong remained strong and the weaklings were continuously eliminated. The chaos grew steadily more disorganized, but Li Hao sensed from it the impending arrival of order.
Such disarray meant that the dao of disorder in the outside world was starting to affect the entire chaos and even extend into the false chaos. That meant... that Disorder might be fighting for his life.
It was a sign that order was about to return!
It also meant that order was soon to fully descend and the era of disorder about to come to an end.
Li Hao sat cross-legged in the void, ignoring everything and everyone. None of the demons and gods that drew near him dared get on his bad side either. Everyone knew that there was a strange being in the chaos.
He wore an outfit of white... by now, they knew that to be clothes. There was a sword at his waist that was never unsheathed. They didn’t know if it was strong or not, and didn’t care about it either because they didn’t dare draw near this being.
All they knew was that he was very strong.
As for how strong... no one was aware.
Forefather Blood had spent the past hundred of years fortifying his world and strengthening it, as well as cementing his title as the strongest powerhouse within the chaos. He killed many demons and gods in pursuit of that endeavor.
Apart from that, the flame also returned to life.
It called itself Demon Flame and made a name for itself in a very short period of time. It wandered around, challenging anyone it came across. Some hailed it as the second strongest in the chaos. The first was naturally Forefather Blood.
As for Li Hao... since he never made a move, no one knew how strong he was despite his obvious presence.
Whether it was Forefather Blood or Demon Flame, they were slightly wary of Li Hao. They didn’t dare rashly draw near.
Li Hao knew a thing or two about Forefather Blood’s origins, but he wasn’t that confident when it came to Demon Flame. He knew that it contained some of chaos origin, but was there any of Long Zhan’s spirit?
Li Hao could sense some, but there were also some other ancient beasts in the chaos that seemed to contain Long Zhan’s spirit. Had the guy split himself up or been beaten into pieces? Perhaps he’d become more than one being.
Granted, the young man didn’t care about that.
It was hard to say if one would win in the future just because they had an advantage of earlier timing. Not to mention, Li Hao was already prepared to kill all of the connate demons and gods once he was ready to establish his worlds!
He was going to build order in the chaos.
As for whether anyone would escape from his attentions, that had nothing to do with him. He would kill everyone that came. Anyone who could not control their desires would come.
That would be the day of their doom.
Some would return to their primary bodies after, some would not. Those who’d come in through the external passage naturally had a home waiting for them. But those who were already dead would be truly dead once their spire was cut down again. Of that, Li Hao didn’t care.
Nothing was a problem so long as he didn’t mistakenly kill his teacher.
Speaking of his teacher...
Li Hao tilted his head in a particular direction and looked around with hesitation. There was a powerhouse of the five elements in the chaos now, but their style differed from what his teacher usually displayed. It was hard for him to determine if this was his teacher or not.
His teacher’s spirit had become part of this chaos the earliest. Had it been suppressed because of that?
It was hard to say.
Although Li Hao was the master of the chaos, he was separating himself from it at the same time. He wasn’t fully controlling it yet. Instead, he chose to let this chaos develop as it would.
The longsword in his hand trembled slightly. The young man had nurtured it over the past couple of centuries, repairing its holes and cracks. Two supernatural characters on the weapon grew increasingly radiant. Some spirit shimmered over it.
Firmament!
Apart from this, a door also manifested in front of Li Hao. It was the Star Gate that New Martial had once crafted. The young man had some thoughts in mind and wanted to make some modifications. He wished to create a door for the end of the river so that people could come in and out of this chaos.
The new chaos shouldn’t be fully sealed off either. If that was the case, the inhabitants would be hard pressed to ever walk out unless they surpassed Li Hao.
“The Star Gate...” Li Hao murmured. Would the doorway that’d once sealed off Silver Moon now be used to seal off this chaos? “The river... a medium...”
The Star Gate could be one of the ends of the river, would it need another? Would he have to create another doorway?
Nah, just one should be enough.
Li Hao looked thoughtfully around him. One end could be fixed in place, the other could infinitely extend. And... should he put some restrictions in place after establishing the river and transforming the myriad of daos into worlds?
The young man thought deeply once more, looking at Demon Flame and Forefather Blood in the distance...
These existences were immensely powerful. Should some restrictions be imposed on them?
Long Zhan wanted fairness, so Li Hao wasn’t that willing to intervene. But when he thought of how he needed to arrange for humans to settle into this chaos, then they would all become food for the chaos beasts if he didn’t do something.
Chaos beasts fed on humans by nature, after all.
“Hmm... establishing a myriad of worlds... Since the chaos beasts want to live in the chaos, I’ll corral them beyond the worlds. The chaos is vast. If they have enough ability to, they can rise from the chaos as well!” Li Hao murmured to himself, having come to some decisions.
He didn’t want to interfere with the development of the future, but couldn’t just toss hundreds of billions of humans into the chaos for these ancient beasts to eat.
The only alternative was if these ancient beasts were willing to forsake their identity as a chaos beast and enter the worlds as a native monster spirit.
Ideas popped into his mind, one after another. Li Hao’s plans for the future grew more perfected as well. This was an immense organization of great dao for himself. Once time returned and he set everything aside, then... it might all be different again.
Li Hao’s eyes darted around as the entire chaos started shaking violently. The broken Heaven’s Stratagem gathered within the void!
All of the powerhouses in the chaos saw a book, a book of light!
The formidable energy within its pages stunned even premier existences such as Forefather Blood! What was that??
A treasure of the world or what?
Li Hao smirked in the distance. The recovery of Heaven’s Stratagem also meant that the age of disorder had ended. The Disorder master was dead!
My dao of time is returning!
All of the chaos was suppressed and everyone paled.
“A treasure of the chaos!” someone gasped. Was this an ultimate treasure of the chaos?
It took only one look for them to gain an idea that everything was perfectly in order. This was the first time that the disorganized chaos perceived the existence of order.
Shadows flew madly toward it. They wanted the treasure!
But as close as the book looked, it was actually very far away!
Countless gods and demons flocked in the relevant direction. Li Hao laughed and reached out, summoning the book to him. He didn’t mind the commotion. He could tell that... time was about to return!
Disorder was dead.
He had to be dead, unless he killed the dao master of life and death. He would be dead without a doubt otherwise.
“The time is at hand!” Li Hao rose with a dashing smile. I’ve finally welcomed this moment!
The chaos seemed to be frozen, but quickly returned to normal. However, the young man frowned when Heaven’s Stratagem’s returned to him. He looked sharply into the distance.
Blood qi surged into the heavens!
Forefather Blood set foot through the void with an angry yell, “Put it down!”
Li Hao continued to smile.
Forefather Blood traveled exceedingly swiftly as it’d been several hundred years since he created his world. He was ever stronger and in an incredible rage. It was like he was bathed in blood as he glared hotly, “Sword User, the other people might not know your background, but I do know a thing or two! But this seat wants that book today!”
The Heaven’s Stratagem?
Li Hao looked knowingly at the entity who’d crossed the void, then at the connate spirits hiding in the surroundings. He laughed and said gently, “This item belonged to me to begin with. You won’t have any use for this book.”
No use?
How could there be no use for an ultimate treasure of the chaos?
Forefather Blood sneered, his presence built commandingly. This person had hailed from outside the chaos. While he didn’t know Sword User’s exact identity... he vaguely felt that this being might have something to do with him.
Granted, it wasn’t important.
What was important was that while Sword User looked imposing, his presence wasn’t all that strong. It didn’t even measure up to some of his powerful brethren.
Although Forefather Blood was wary, he felt that he’d grown stronger over these years. There was no one in the chaos who was a match for him. Perhaps only Demon Flame could fight him for a bit!
Would he actually fear this Sword User?
“Hand over the treasure!” Forefather Blood snarled. “This is the ultimate treasure of the chaos and since I am the first living being within it, it should belong to me! Sword User, this seat is not willing to kill you. It would serve you well to recognize the situation you’re in!”
“As I thought, desire is everywhere,” Li Hao sighed. “You are the first being of the chaos, but you cannot escape from desire either! You would have a bright future ahead of you if you could control yourself somewhat. You and I have some shared destiny... but what a pity!”
Forefather Blood frowned.
Shared destiny?
What stupid shared destiny?
He stared at the item, it looked familiar. It was called... a book?
Probably.
Whatever it was, it looked powerful.
If such a powerful treasure came into his hands, he would definitely occupy the throne of the chaos with security if he utilized it with his immense strength. What would Demon Flame challenge him with then?
