Chapter 2109: A New Chaos (III)
Li Hao forced out all of the disorderly energy from his body and crushed it into the new chaos. This left him incredibly weak. He was akin to a normal person now.
Li Hao washed off his blood stains and put on a new outfit. A calm expression spread over his face and a crumbling sword appeared in his hand again. The young man smiled.
Nothing but the self. This is me. I don’t want anything from an external source. I relinquish everything.
“This is good... I’m going to start over again too!” He looked at the west. I hope that that side will grant my desire once I’m inside the new chaos. Disorder needs to die sooner rather than later. The faster he dies, the faster more spirit can be incorporated into the new chaos.
Missing out on this opportunity... means that another one might not come along.
Li Hao took a deep breath and jumped upward. Everyone else had sent only their spirit inside. He would be entering with his primary body.
The blood-red world jumped madly as soon as the young man entered it!
......
At the same time, the west.
Battle continued to rage. Everyone sensed something in the same moment and looked sharply at the east. Disorder panted heavily, but smiled at the same time. There were fewer powerhouses around him now.
Damn that Chaos Sky!
There were a lot of wounds on Disorder's body; he was mottled with blood. All of that was Chaos Sky’s doing. That asshole was the worst!
Chaos Sky, on the other hand, was also covered in blood. He frowned at the east. Had Li Hao established his chaos? But there didn’t seem to be a big enough disturbance coming from it!
At the same time, there was also a very unique ripple coming from the east. It seemed to be... the beating of a heart.
How was Li Hao creating his chaos?
Was he creating another space for it? Or was he creating another world?
Everyone was quite perplexed because no one had ever done anything like it before.
“Give up, Disorder,” sighed Skyward. “You can sense it yourself, you’re running out of life force. Yes, you’ve killed a lot of people, but do you think you can kill us all? We’re all just replicas here. So what if you kill us all? You still want to live, right?”
There were eight replicas left around him, as well as eight reinforcement eighth ranks. Many of the Nine Layer Guard were dead. Only a few around Chaos Sky were still alive.
Disorder had killed many powerhouses, but he was also entering his twilight moments. He was much older than before and his hair was completely white.
“Skyward, you hypocrite, stop giving me that crap!” sneered Disorder. “Since we’ll have a death feud after today, is there any way out for me even if I give up the dao of time? Do you really think I’m an idiot? How can you possibly tolerate my existence after I’ve killed so many replicas?
“It’s either you guys or me today! There’s no other way out!”
While replicas were not primary bodies, the ninth ranks had paid a high price to send their replicas back to the current chaos. Offending one or two of them might be fine, but all of them?
They’ll never suffer me to live!
Never!
Li Hao, I set foot into your trap and actually can’t find my way out!
He was feeling a bit of regret, but that was promptly washed away when he sensed the strength of time again.
I’ll just... put it all on the line if it comes to that!
He was pretty much drained by this point of the battle, but his opponents weren’t any better off!
Chaos Sky...
Disorder looked at Chaos Sky again and snorted. This guy used to have a large enterprise and well established home. He would’ve been the greatest in the chaos prior to the return of the ninth ranks. Even Disorder hadn’t been able to gain the upper hand against Chaos Sky.
But now... Chaos Sky was in a dismal state. The western region had been trashed!
He’d once commanded dozens of exalted emperors, now he had a scant handful. The mighty and grand Chaos Sky Region had been painstakingly built up over one million years. It’d been ruined in one day.
Chaos Sky probably hated Li Hao more than Disorder did!
That poor, miserable man! Disorder grinned at the sight of someone worse off than him.
Chaos Sky seemed to know what his opponent was thinking and glared hotly in response!
Yes, he was in a pathetic state now. Everything had been going smoothly at first. He’d suppressed Disorder, devoured the north, and was unchallenged through the chaos. His single, greatest instance of bad luck was failing to take down Li Hao with his schemes.
That shitstirrer had completely ruined everything!
Chaos Sky had had two dozen exalted emperors under his command at his peak. And now?
Three eighth ranks were left of the Nine Layer Guard, which included Withdrawal. Of the eight surrendered eighth ranks, only one was left!
And the key was, that one had wanted to run for a very long time, but didn’t dare to. His old master had been staring at him throughout the entire battle!
The eighth rank had been a ninth rank’s subordinate before, but was now trusted by no one. He’d wanted to run on several occasions, yet grit his teeth and started because he sensed a corresponding wave of impending danger if he did so.
Almost one hundred eighth ranks had fought on the premises, but roughly two dozen altogether were left now.
Granted, New Martial’s side had run off rather than die, but that still meant nearly half of the eighth ranks were dead!
Chaos Sky ground his teeth. If they didn’t kill Disorder after all of this, then this day would be a tremendous loss!
The others were here in replica form. They could just take off running if worst came to worst. He couldn’t! He was a primary body!
If he ignored everything and left, Disorder would come for him first after consolidating his grasp on time. Li Hao and the rest would be a secondary target. The ninth ranks wouldn’t be his primary focus either!
“Disorder, Li Hao is still waiting for your time to establish his chaos with!” Chaos Sky looked frostily at Disorder. “Although I hate Li Hao, I have to admit that his eye for talent is very good. He thinks you’ll return time when you die, and I’m of the same opinion!”
Perhaps this was why Chaos Sky was still holding on.
Li Hao was a vicious and cruel individual. Since he’d said that he was waiting to use Disorder’s time, then perhaps Disorder really would die from this engagement. After all, the young man was the person who understood time the most in the chaos!
“You idiot, do you honestly think that whatever he says goes?” Disorder cursed with a laugh. “Would you go die if he said you’ll die?”
The verbal joust didn’t stop his movements. He froze the premises with time again!
This time, Disorder targeted Withdrawal.
“Your master’s dead, dog,” Disorder sneered. “Order has collapsed, but you’re still breaking your back for a depraved Chaos Sky!”
Complicated emotions warred in Withdrawal’s eyes. He struggled ferociously!
Chaos Sky growled and erupted with darkness, but still couldn’t overcome time. They were fighting a war of attrition with Disorder, trying to deplete his lifespan!
Because the reality was, they had no way to force Disorder’s death!
Withdrawal fell apart after a loud boom!
Color drained from Disorder’s face. He had to pay an enormous price every time he killed someone. He waved dao strength around and punched, obliterating Withdrawal.
However, he stumbled over his feet as well, finding that it was getting hard to gather his thoughts!
Disorder understood that he must be reaching his limit. Freezing time again and again, killing powerful enemies again and again... had led him to the end of his life. If this continued, he’d die of old age after taking down a few more!
“Be careful, this guy’s coming to the end of his rope,” Skyward transmitted the rest. “He’s probably going to do what Li Hao said before and completely exhaust himself to travel back to the past...”
Although he didn’t want to admit to it, such was the truth. Li Hao’s words were being verified in real time!
The young man himself had wielded time before, after all. He knew that Disorder would have no other path available to him at this stage. He had to put his life on the line!
He would be the greatest winner if it worked!
He would have nothing left if he lost.
It was that simple.
Disorder would be the strongest powerhouse in the chaos if he won, or he’d die on the spot if he lost. There was no third option. There was no place for him to run anymore because that meant he wouldn’t be able to recover.
The other powerhouses looked gravely at the man. Disorder was about to take his final stand!
Chaos Sky sighed when Withdrawal died. Withdrawal had followed him from the very start, it’d been many years. But today... death had come for him as well.
But perhaps it would all be worth it. The situation was the most chaotic it’d ever been!
Disorder looked at the west and clenched his jaw, then cackled, “Li Hao’s words were the most vicious at all!”
The kid is too black-hearted. He figured out everything for me!
“Heh...” Disorder kept cackling. You won’t have an easy time of things if I die today!
So you think time will return to you if I die, hmm?
Sure!
I’ll... add something special in it for you!
Disorder laughed manically. The star of time circled around him as he infused a large amount of disorder into it.
You little piece of shit, Li Hao. Time will return to your hands with my death. Didn’t you say before that you’d give it out again?
You better. If you don’t and absorb it for yourself... heh. I’ll let you know what disorder tastes like!
Disorder had made up his mind. He was ready.
He was ready to fight to the death!
He wouldn’t give up even in death.
He would never give up!
......
Within the blood-red world.
There seemed to be no concept of time. Shadowy figures had appeared within the murky chaos. They drifted aimlessly through the unbounded haze.
A bloody figure roamed through the chaos. He was incredibly formidable and his presence built steadily. Time seemed to be furiously streaming through the area without being registered.
There were life forms appearing in the gloom. Some of the original spirit and a portion of those that came later were starting to awaken. They roved through the uninhabited chaos like the very first demons and gods to ever exist.
Battle began to break out in the blood-red world as well.
Some things reverberated in the bloody figure’s mind. He stared at the opaque expanse. This chaos... was too quiet and boring. It lacked something.
Did it lack... living beings?
Or worlds?
What are worlds?
