Chapter 2108: A New Chaos (II)
Some of the spirit drifting throughout the blood-red ball began to converge on the ‘blood’ character. When a portion of it landed on fresh blood, a blood-red figure sharpened into focus in this bleak and desolate world.
Blood qi soared to the heavens!
This blood was too strong as it’d combined the blood essence of too many powerhouses. It was further being affected by the ‘blood’ character outside, making it the first drop of blood in existence. It became the spirit of the world as it gathered together.
Blood qi agitated!
This was a scene out of mythology, the genesis of life painted by many stories. Spirit began to gather in various spots in the internal chaos.
Outside.
Li Hao continued to trace supernatural characters, one at a time. He infused all of his mental strength and blood qi into the burgeoning world.
......
The young man had seen and trained in too many daos since his rise from humble origins. He’d inherited many of New Martial’s ultimate arts, received heritage from Skyward, walked Skyward’s path, walked Calamity’s path, comprehended body dao, learned about the five elements, life and death, as well as emptiness and revitalization...
He put everything he had into the characters that he was writing and planted them into the world in front of him.
This new chaos wasn’t all that big.
It was tiny.
But it also seemed unlimited at the same time!
Li Hao melded his mental strength with it, sensing some minor changes within. A faint smile slowly appeared on his face. There... was some life in this world now.
Chaos beings?
Were these the first generation of chaos living beings?
The young man did not know.
Perhaps they were, perhaps they were not. All of the energy and spirit within this chaos... stemmed from an external source. Li Hao hadn’t created life in the true sense of the notion. All of it had already existed in the first place, he was just inputting them through the cycle of reincarnation.
The young man lifted his head to look up at the heavens.
Perhaps... only when I truly break the origin of the chaos and seize it for myself will I really comprehend what it means to create life. It won’t be what I’m doing now, establishing a false chaos even when I’m looking to create a new universe.
This new chaos was still within the confines of the current chaos universe. Its energy source was from the chaos, making this new chaos incomplete.
Even if he succeeded, the new chaos would not exceed the current chaos. Li Hao was well aware of this, but this was the best he could do at present!
“Everyone is to enter the new chaos and infuse your spirit into the relevant great dao,” instructed the young man. “The chaos has been established and spirit is being nurtured within it. There are five thousand great daos, meaning there are five thousand possibilities of demons, gods, immortals, and monster spirits!
“You just need to send your spirit inside, not your body. If you incorporate your spirit with the great dao, you’ll be able to become an immortal or demon. You’ll be a primordial demon god!
“You can grow with the world as it develops. A newly born heaven and earth is there for the studying. Forgo your memories and start from scratch...”
Hearts jolted from the suggestion! The supreme’s eyes widened and he quickly said, “You mean for us... to incorporate our spirit with the new world, become one of its initial life forms, forget our memories, and live anew with cultivation?”
“That’s right! You’ll be ejected once you’re killed and your spirit will return to your primary body. It’s entirely up to you to see how much you comprehend and understand. And of course, you might be devoured by another if you forget your memories and start over. You might not even have a chance to come into your strength!
“This world is still sealed at the moment, the flow of time is different. This is an opportunity for you as well as me!” Li Hao grinned. “I will enter it too, but since I’m its master, I’ll probably be able to retain my memories. It’ll be too hard for you guys, so I’m giving you first crack at it!
“In addition, there should be a lot of spirit persisting in this world. There will be spirit from Long Zhan, my master, Red Moon, and a lot of others! That might give birth to a lot of chaos demons and gods. Since they were so strong in life, they may not come back to life any weaker than you guys.
“I will enter it myself when time returns and fully establish the river of dao to stabilize the world with! The chaos age will be over then, we will enter the age of establishment!”
The development of the new chaos would have nothing to do with him after that!
Currently, this world existed in the initial stages of the chaos. That meant there were plenty of opportunities for everyone.
Those assembled were so young that they’d never experienced the beginning of the chaos. Even Skyward’s group hadn’t done so.
Would they gain anything if they lived through it?
Naturally!
Even if the great dao system inside wasn’t as complete as the one in the chaos universe, Li Hao wielded five thousand daos and had integrated the dao strength of countless powerhouses into the new chaos. The dao system was still relatively complete!
“How interesting and fascinating!” laughed the Human King. “Then is there a possibility that we awaken our own memories?”
“It’ll be hard to, but the Human King can give it a try!” Li Hao laughed. “You’ll have no issues doing that once you leave the world and return to your primary body. But if that happens, that also means you’ve been eliminated from the new chaos!
“You don’t need to be in a rush to go inside.” He turned to the queen. “Of you can go inside first and wait for me to wake you. You need to resettle all of the humans within the divine nation into the new chaos. They will be the first batch of humans in the chaos...”
The queen hastily bobbed her head up and down.
The world shaped like a heart in front of them began pounding violently after Li Hao settled all of this. He grunted, sending countless daos into rapid vibration.
“Enter with your spirit!” he growled.
Some of the powerhouses were immensely excited as they swiftly incorporated their spirit into the new world. It was fine for those who didn’t understand spirit either. The great dao naturally extracted their spirit and incorporated it into the blood-red world.
More spirit started blossoming in the new chaos! The world grew increasingly resplendent!
“Li Hao, can your new chaos... also support some monster spirits?” Spring Autumn suddenly asked.
Monster spirits? Li Hao raised a brow.
“I am a monster spirit exalted emperor, after all,” said Spring Autumn. “While there are many unknowns when it comes to the new chaos... I see that you are going to settle humans inside. A lot of chaos beasts died in battle earlier, their spirit became part of your chaos. That means there should be chaos beasts being born in it. So monster spirits should be a possibility too, right?”
“We don’t lack for monster spirits,” Li Hao smiled. “They’re already present in New Martial and Silver Moon! But if you’re willing, you can send in some of your own. Whatever you want!
“But...” the young man paused. “Whether it is humans, chaos beasts, or monster spirits, it’s best if not too many pre-existing memories are involved. The humans of the divine nation are like blank pieces of paper. Even if they know a little of the situation, they won’t know much.
“They are ordinary people! I do not wish for there to be large numbers of cultivators who know a lot about the world outside and bring it all into the new chaos. That defeats the purpose of establishing a new one! I do so because I hope to see the birth of a new system!”
And not the continuation of the current one.
Li Hao was prepared to send in a lot of humans, but just ordinary ones who’d previously resided on a world. There wasn’t a single exalted emperor among them, so they didn’t know anything about the universe at large. It didn’t matter that most of their memories were retained.
And since they’d resided in the divine nation all this time, it wouldn’t make a difference to them if they changed their living environment. Perhaps the new chaos would still be the old one they’d always known.
After all, what had Li Hao known before he walked out of Silver Moon?
Nothing at all!
He hadn’t even known where Silver Moon was situated in the universe or what kind of strength could be found in the chaos. He hadn’t known the slightest bit about the chaos.
Spring Autumn nodded without saying much else.
As more powerhouses infused their spirit into the new chaos, the blood-red world grew stronger. Light constantly flashed through it!
......
Within the blood-red world.
Everything was murky and dim!
But then, bolts of light suddenly descended from above! It was spirit from those outside!
Someone occupied a portion of the cloudy strength. Light sparkled as they seemed on the cusp of being the precursor of Disorder.
Someone's light landed on a stone, turning them into a stone spirit.
The chaos was still a hazy, opaque zone, but some sentience had developed with the first droplet of blood. It remained in a befuddled state, yet seemed to know how to cultivate as a natural part of its birth.
Once it captured some chaos strength, it began to cultivate!
The dao strength of this new chaos was incredibly disorganized and mixed with all manner of things. The bloody figure sharpened into focus. It was sitting cross-legged and eventually, a very faint will drifted out of it after an unknown period of time.
“Am I... the first person to exist in the chaos?” He jumped, at first scaring himself with the sound of his own voice. It was like he instinctively knew where he was.
The chaos!
This was the initial establishment of the universe and the birth of a new chaos. There was no myriad of beings. The chaos was just beginning to nurture life!
“I am a divine spirit from the inception of the chaos... Blood... the dao of blood... I am the forefather of blood!” The voice sounded somewhat juvenile and lost. It possessed innate spirit, so it knew to cultivate despite its complete ignorance.
It needed to cultivate dao!
Dao?
Further bafflement bloomed, but it also somehow knew that this was an excellent opportunity to cultivate. There seemed to be a confusing motley of memories in its mind, resulting in cultivation methods naturally being shaken out of the mix sometimes.
It was a very shallow understanding, but adequate for a place like this.
There was chaos and dao strength everywhere, unending and unbounded!
At the same time, outside the world.
Li Hao took a deep breath after everyone’s spirit was part of the new chaos. The complicated look in his eyes calmed down. He started tracing characters again, this time tracing a large number of them!
Fury, joy, sorrow, greed...
Desire!
He wanted to separate all of his own desires, or rather, the uncontrollable desires that leaked out, and force them into the new world. It wouldn’t be a simple suppression, but a guarantee that desire can blossom in the new world.
At the same time, he needed to ensure that the new chaos wasn’t overloaded with desire.
There could be desire, but it couldn’t exceed the limits of his creation.
