Saving The Villainous Monster From The Male Lead

Chapter 151 - 150: The Absolute Mess!

That evening her room had turned into a mess as she looked around for that contract. She went through almost everything and still found it nowhere. Even Marina had joined in to look for that piece of paper, she had never seen before.

Lilith entered the room with a message for Eleanor, "Madam, it’s time for dinner." She said, However, Eleanore ignores her.

She sat down in the middle of the room and started searching through those bags her brother had sent. After going through every bag, she still found nothing.

"Are you looking for something?" Lilith asked.

In response, Marina walked to her and whispered in her ears. "I am unsure. She said she is looking for an old paper, which has "Best Friend Contract" written on it."

"What?" Lilith was too stunned to speak any further. She walked to Eleanore and gently patted her shoulder. "Madam, Should I join in as well?" She asked.

Eleanore nodded and Lilith started her search. Marina sighed before joining in herself. A whole hour went by, but they couldn’t find the paper anywhere.

Caelestis, who had been waiting for her at the dinner table, left it to search for Eleanore. He found her room in complete disarray. Eleanore was sitting on the floor looking through her luggage and throwing them out of those briefcases.

"What are you doing, Eleanore?" He asked. However, she continued to look through the things. She opened every box and all she could find in them was jewellery.

"Lilith?" He turned to the head maid. "Even you joined in?" He questioned her wisdom.

"The Madam was looking for something that seemed important, that’s why—" Caelestis, glare, shut her up.

He walked to Eleanore and her up from the floor in his arms, into a princess carry.

"What are you doing?" She questions, in irritation.

"First of all, you shouldn’t be sitting on the ground. It’s cold and you have only just recovered. You need food to build up some energy. You have eaten nothing all day." He points out and Eleanore couldn’t deny any of it.

"You can look for whatever you are searching for after dinner." He started out of the room and then down the stairs.

"Caelestis, you should put me down. I can walk, you know." Eleanore said, but Caelestis didn’t pay heed to her words.

She could escape his grasps only after reaching the dining room. The staff, in the dining room, went silent on their arrival and were shocked on seeing this strange side of Eleanore.

"Chef, the food."

What was presented in front of Eleanore was a sad, drippy and weird textured porridge. She looked around and realised that was the only thing she had to eat. Under Caelestis’ glare, she ate up all the porridge and it took a lot of convincing from her, for Caelestis to let her return to her room on her own.

The room, which she had left in an utter mess, had turned clean and spotless. The thought that she might have to go through all her hundreds of things again, made her feel lazy and sleepy.

She dragged herself to her bed and fell asleep in almost an instant. She had no energy what-so-ever to look through that stack again.

After completing all his pending works along with Victor, it was finally time to take some rest. Caelestis entered his dull grey room and remembered the light purple walls of her room. He realised how brighter and livelier her room felt.

When he was in his bed, after a warm bath. He felt empty, as if something was missing beside him. That cold body, that turned warm by morning in his arms and yet he didn’t want to let go. He remained beside her, finding her as fragile as a glass, that she could fit completely in his embrace, no matter how tighter it got.

He played with her entangled hair between his fingers, waiting for him to wake up and show her lazy crimson eyes, flashing a hint of liveliness in him.

When he found only a cold bedsheet and blanket on his bed, he couldn’t find even a hint of sleep in his eyes. He grunted as he sat upright and instinctively left his room, walked up stairs and before he could realise, he was already in the corridor of the third floor.

He found Marina standing outside Eleanore’s room, in the far end of the corridor and he gulped. It looked like she had seen him, frozen in his place and had turned to him.

Caelestis crossed the corridor and reached the closed door of Eleanore’s room. "How is she, now?" He asked.

"Much better. She is not cold anymore and is sound asleep." She bows, before answering his questions.

Caelestis was stunned to hear that she had already fallen asleep, while he was roaming around thinking about her in his arms. "She fell asleep just like that?" He muttered and thought Marina wouldn’t hear it but she did.

"Yes, she came from dinner and saw how I and Lilith cleaned the room. Then she perhaps felt lazy and—" She waves her hand in a straight line in mid-air.

"What are you saying?" Caelestis thought it meant, Eleanore died, and Marina flinched at that question.

"No, My Lord. I mean she fell on the bed and slipped into a deep sleep." She corrected herself.

"Oh." He took another glance at that closed door, before turning to Marina again. "Did she not ask about me at all?"

Marina paused for a moment, thinking if she should lie here. But if she did her mistress would be extremely angry. So, in the end she told the truth, she shook her head.

Caelestis simply sighed on that. "Do you usually stay out like this?" He asked a valid question.

"Yes, why?" Marina, however, was uncertain why he was asking her that.

"Nothing, I just thought that maybe you should perhaps return to your quarters or something."

"But the Madam is unwell. How could I leave her alone?" She sounded so innocent at that moment, that Caelestis couldn’t find any strength in himself, to explain the reason behind his question.

"Forget it. You are doing a good job." Caelestis gives her a thumbs up before disappearing into the shadows of the corridor.
