Chapter 127: Chapter 64: Life Deprivation, Experiencing Death! (Part 1)
Alex had long since seen through the true state of Asclepius and the Ophiuchus Temple at this moment.
They did not truly exist in reality, but were suspended in a temporal gap between the present and the past. Each of the Zodiac temples was the exclusive domain of a Gold Saint; it was only because Odysseus was possessed by Asclepius and remained within the Ophiuchus Temple that he could manifest. Once he left the temple, he would immediately be reduced to a pile of dry bones under the relentless erosion of time.
The smile on Asclepius’s face faded slightly, a cold glint flashing through his golden eyes.
"It seems you know more than I thought!"
"Alex, the respect I offer you is out of mutual appreciation between the strong. It is not an invitation for you to question a true god!"
"Now, it is time for you to understand the power of a god. Kneel, and repent before me!"
Alex didn’t make any attempt to dodge, simply allowing the threads of light to entangle his body.
A freezing sensation traveled along the threads, accompanied by a bizarre suction that felt as if it were extracting his very life force.
Seeing this, Asclepius’s lips curled into a mocking sneer.
"Although I don’t know why you meet me without wearing a Cloth, even if you are the strongest Gold Saint of the current era, you are far too arrogant."
He paced over to Alex, the snake head of his scepter pressing lightly against Alex’s chest.
"Did you think that with your Seventh Sense Cosmo, you could withstand my divine majesty? I am a god; I have long surpassed the realm of Gold Saints! Kneel now and swear your allegiance to me, and perhaps I might spare your life."
Alex raised his head, a cold, ruthless smile appearing on his lips.
"You? Asclepius? It seems your imprisonment in the Prison of Tartarus has made you forget what true power looks like!"
"Hah!"
Alex suddenly clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white from the immense force.
In the next second, a Cosmo that far exceeded the comprehension of mortals erupted violently from his body!
Boom!
Having fused with a massive amount of soul power, Alex’s Cosmo directly shattered through the roof of the Ophiuchus Temple, piercing the sky to form a terrifying pillar of spiritual pressure!
An ice-blue chill swept outward like a tsunami, instantly freezing everything inside the Ophiuchus Temple.
The floor cracked with web-like patterns of ice, and even the green poisonous mist floating in the air was frozen into fine, shimmering ice crystals. Golden lightning danced within the ice-blue light, coiling around him like a giant dragon. The crackling bolts of lightning struck the surrounding stone pillars, leaving deep, scorched black marks.
Most terrifying of all was the faintly discernible light of Divinity within his Cosmo. A golden halo overflowed from the depths of his soul, intertwining with the powers of absolute cold and lightning, making his entire Cosmo seem almost corporeal as it weighed heavily upon the peak of the sacred mountain.
Centered on Alex, this power instantly enveloped the entire Sanctuary.
From the training camp at the foot of the sacred mountain to the Twelve Zodiac Temples halfway up, and all the way to the Pope’s Chamber at the summit—every inch of land was covered by this overwhelming pressure. Even the flames of the Zodiac clock shrank back slightly under the pressure, as if cowering in fear of this immense power.
Such a colossal Cosmo compelled all the Gold Saints in the Sanctuary to step out of their respective temples, looking up toward the Ophiuchus Temple positioned midway up the mountain.
...
Inside the Scorpio Temple, Milo, who had still been relishing the satisfaction of teaching Hyoga a lesson, felt his heart pound wildly in shock at this Cosmo. The scarlet light at his fingertips instantly dissipated.
"This... is this Alex’s Cosmo? How could it be this strong?!"
He couldn’t help but feel a lingering chill of fear. Fortunately, he hadn’t dealt a lethal blow to Alex’s student just now. Otherwise, he would probably be following in Deathmask’s footsteps by now.
Inside the Leo Temple, Aiolia was meticulously maintaining his Leo Gold Cloth.
When Alex’s Cosmo flooded the Leo Temple like a tidal wave, the shoulder armor in his hands clattered to the ground. His blue eyes were filled with absolute disbelief.
"This is Alex’s Cosmo?"
Inside the Virgo Temple, Shaka was jolted from his meditative state by Alex’s full-powered eruption.
He abruptly opened his eyes, a trace of profound solemnity flashing through his pupils. The Buddha light surrounding him involuntarily surged. As the reincarnation of Buddha, he clearly perceived the anomaly within Alex’s Cosmo.
"Divinity... This Cosmo actually contains the power of Divinity! Such power has long surpassed the realm of Gold Saints; it is approaching that of a god!"
Inside the Virgo Temple, the glazed lamps held by the Buddha statues flickered violently, as if they might extinguish at any moment.
Shaka tightened his grip on his prayer beads and stepped out of the Virgo Temple, gazing up at the Ophiuchus Temple. The corners of his mouth tilted up slightly, revealing a smile for the first time.
