Chapter 109: Chapter 55: Phoenix Wing Ice-Thunder Burst! Ophiuchus! (Part 1)

The moment the bowstring was released, the Crystal Lightning Arrow streaked through the void like a falling star.

The arrow’s tail dragged a light trail ten thousand meters long. The intertwined glow of ice-blue and golden-yellow illuminated the entire sky. Wherever it passed, the air was instantly frozen into transparent walls of ice. The Darkseeker vanguard didn’t even have time to scream before they were atomized into a flurry of ice shards, scattering across the plaza.

"Quick! Activate the defenses!"

Witnessing the sheer power of this single shot, the High Priest’s face turned deathly pale. Only now did he realize that the legend of the global freeze fifty years ago was no human exaggeration. He shrieked in desperation, his white pupils dilating completely out of primal terror.

Behind him, the ten-thousand-strong Darkseeker priest corps raised their bone staves in unison. Black light surged from the tips, condensing in mid-air into a massive rampart of human bone ten meters thick. The barrier seemed like a living entity, composed entirely of wailing faces and skeletal remains; it looked impregnable.

But the Crystal Lightning Arrow did not pause for even a microsecond.

Thud!

With a dull, heavy impact, the bone barrier collapsed instantly!

The High Priest and God-King Bourne watched with eyes full of desperate hope. In the next second, the lightning coiled around the arrow shaft erupted, transforming into a gargantuan, winged bird of ice.

The ice bird’s wings were as white as frost, each feather etched with golden lightning runes. As it unfurled its wings, the surrounding temperature plummeted to absolute zero, making even the sunlight seem frozen in place. Its wingspan was staggering, blotting out the entire sky; the ice spikes at the tips of its wings extended even beyond the atmosphere—one could catch a glimpse of that chilling ice-blue streak from outer space.

This was an original ultimate technique created by Alex! A miraculous combination of the Aquarius and Sagittarius constellations: Phoenix Wing Ice-Thunder Burst!

Such terrifying momentum instantly stripped the ten thousand Darkseeker priests of any remaining courage to resist.

"God... He is a true god..."

It was unknown who knelt first, but soon, more and more Darkseeker priests dropped their bone staves and kowtowed incessantly toward the ice bird. Their black sacrificial robes trembled in the wind; their former cruelty and arrogance had completely dissolved into humble, abject terror.

Bourne tried to turn and flee, only to find that his feet had long been frozen solid to the head of his Frost Dragon. Even the dragon let out a mournful wail of despair as the frost creeping through its scales petrified it. His "undying" physical body, of which he was once so proud, began to develop fine cracks under the crushing pressure of the ice bird.

"Save... Save me!"

The Chief High Priest let out a shrill, piercing shriek in his death throes. He tried to mobilize the last of his demonic energy, but the surging chill instantly frozen his very veins. The ice bird dove. The frost instantly washed over him, turning him into a black ice sculpture.

Then, the lightning within the ice shell detonated with a roar.

Boom!

A thunderclap swept across the sky. Charred remains and ice shards fell like rain, covering the ground in a thick layer of debris that emitted a pungent, acrid smell.

Bourne watched helplessly as the ice bird lunged at him. He lacked even the strength to raise a hand in defiance. His body disintegrated inch by inch within the lightning, finally turning into a wisp of black smoke that dissipated into the air.

The Darkseeker army charging toward the plaza halted abruptly, their eyes filled with nothing but horror. Some turned to flee, only to be pushed down by their own comrades, rolling and crawling on the ground. Others curled into balls, shivering, not even daring to bare their fangs.

The Sagittarius Gold Cloth hovered in mid-air, the ice-blue Cosmo slowly circulating within the armor. The wings of light gradually folded, leaving behind only the lingering sparks and frost mist in the sky.

Alex’s voice echoed through the Cloth, resonating in the void. It was but a single word, yet it carried the absolute majesty of divine judgment, making the very earth tremble:

"Begone!"
