Within the mist of the illusion, the mandala flowers were blooming eerily. Layers of purplish-black petals supported golden-red stamens, as if they had solidified the blood and darkness of the Underworld.

Pandora stood in the center of the flowers. She tilted her head slightly, a smile playing at the corners of her lips. Her flowing gaze carried a hint of temptation, completely unbothered by Alex’s coldness.

"Alex, everything you’ve done over these years, I have seen it all."

Her voice was as soft as entwining vines, yet it carried an unmistakable tone of admiration.

"Your strength and intellect are already at the very pinnacle of what humanity can reach. I admire you."

She raised a hand to gently brush away a loose lock of hair by her temples, revealing a bewitching profile. The mandala flowers bloomed in unison, spewing pale purple pollen that diffused an eerie fragrance into the air.

Alex furrowed his brows slightly. Without waiting for her to continue, a halo of white light quietly rippled out from beneath his feet.

An ice-blue chill, wrapped in silver snake-like lightning, spread outward like ripples!

Crackle!

The surrounding mandala flowers froze instantly. The veins on their petals were clearly outlined by ice crystals. Trapped in Absolute Zero, their fragile stems emitted a subtle sound of snapping, as if they would shatter completely in the next second.

Even caught within an illusion, Alex felt absolutely no fear.

So-called illusions were merely techniques that transmitted false information to the brain through human senses, thereby achieving the goal of manipulating those very senses.

Once Alex activated his Absolute Zero Domain, he could freeze his own sympathetic nervous system, severing the body’s influence over the brain. This was the ultimate nemesis of all illusions in the world.

"If you spout any more nonsense, our conversation ends right here!"

Alex’s expression clearly showed that his patience had reached its limit.

Pandora’s expression changed slightly, her fingers subconsciously curling beneath her black dress. She hastily said,

"Please, wait a moment. As long as you help me end the life of Athena’s reincarnation, I can represent Lord Hades and grant you the divine position as the King of the Underworld. While Lord Hades slumbers, you will rule the Underworld."

Hearing this, Alex chuckled and shook his head, his laughter carrying undisguised mockery and disdain.

"I don’t even want to be the Pope. Why would I want to be some King of the Underworld?"

The sunlight, the wind and snow, and the vibrant life of the mortal realm left him far more attached than the eternal, dead silence of the Underworld.

"It seems you have nothing left to say, Pandora. I know you are somewhere near the Sanctuary, and I have memorized your Cosmo. You’d best pray I don’t catch you!"

Pandora’s beautiful face distorted slightly, her expression slipping out of control.

"W-Wait a minute, Alex! Do you really think that replacing Camus to become the Aquarius Saint was merely a coincidence?"

Alex’s pupils contracted slightly.

’Could my replacing Camus and seizing the title of the Aquarius Gold Saint have something to do with Hades, the King of the Underworld?’

Pandora covered her purple lips and giggled softly, her laughter carrying a hint of smugness.

"Did you think only Athena knew how to toy with the fragile emotions of humans? Well, are you interested in having a proper chat with me now?"

"Not interested!"

Alex’s gaze instantly sharpened, forcefully suppressing that brief moment of doubt.

Even if there was a problem with his reincarnation, so what? He owed Hades absolutely nothing...

The white halo beneath Alex’s feet abruptly expanded! The ultimate chill, imbued with a trace of golden light, swept out in all directions with his body as the epicenter!

The world of the illusion instantly condensed with heavy frost!

The mandala flowers emitted crisp cracking sounds within the ice crystals, constantly fracturing until, like fragile glass, they completely collapsed and turned into nothingness right before Alex’s eyes.

Shatter!

The moment the illusion shattered, countless dream fragments danced in the air, refracting bizarre halos of light before vanishing without a trace.

Alex abruptly snapped back to reality. Before his eyes was the familiar night view of the Sanctuary. Stars twinkled in the ink-blue canopy of the sky, and the distant Twelve Zodiac Temples were shrouded in the night. Only the Aries Temple emitted a warm, faint yellow glow.

A diamond-shaped ice crystal glinted between his brows; this was the physical manifestation of applying his freezing power to himself.

Having frozen his sympathetic nervous system, no matter how exquisite the opponent’s illusion was, it could no longer affect him in the slightest.

To the northwest of the Sanctuary, Pandora’s Cosmo flashed and vanished, but he couldn’t leave his post just yet...

Alex turned and looked at Saori Kido sealed within the ice coffin. He shook his head, dismissing the thought of personally hunting down Pandora.

The Sanctuary was not safe. Left unguarded, Saori Kido could very likely meet a violent end in the very next second!
