Chapter 100: Chapter 50: Awakening the Seventh Sense, Pandora Appears! (Part 2)

Alex waved his hand, watching Hyoga leave.

He had left a surprise for Hyoga in the Aquarius Temple. When the time came, Hyoga’s performance would determine whether Alex would continue to regard him as a student.

Everyone departed, leaving only Alex and Saori, who was sealed within the ice coffin.

Athena’s divinity seemed to have fallen completely silent. She no longer conversed with Alex, as if she had entrusted this area to him with absolute faith!

Alex closed his eyes and sat cross-legged in front of the ice coffin.

If Athena hadn’t lied to him, this was the absolute best opportunity for the dark power lurking within the Sanctuary to strike and kill Athena’s reincarnation.

Alex had volunteered to guard Athena precisely to verify this matter.

A strange fragrance, a mixture of decay and cloying sweetness, quietly permeated the air, silently invading his senses.

This scent was eerie yet seductive, capable of evoking the deepest desires hidden within a person’s heart.

Alex opened his eyes again, his pupils contracting sharply.

The scenery before him had drastically changed. The white jade plaza at the foot of the sacred mountain had completely vanished, replaced by an illusionary realm of blooming flowers.

He was now in a garden filled with blooming mandala flowers. The air was thick with their rich fragrance. Every single flower was exquisitely beautiful and vibrant, appearing incredibly real.

Alex reached out his hand, his fingertips brushing against a tender mandala petal. The texture felt delicate and absolutely real.

He gently plucked one and brought it to his nose. The floral scent was intoxicating and overwhelming.

Sight, touch, smell—all of his senses were telling him that everything before his eyes was truly real, without a single flaw!

"As expected..."

The corners of Alex’s mouth curled up slightly. There indeed was an evil power lurking within the Sanctuary, and at this crucial moment, it couldn’t wait to make its move against him.

To be able to silently pull him into an illusion, this power must have come from a god acting personally.

In the distance, the melodious and low sounds of a harp quietly drifted over. The music was like a weeping plea, yet it brimmed with a fatal allure.

Alex slowly stood up and strode toward the direction of the music.

Soon, he saw a pavilion constructed of white jade, partially hidden deep within the sea of flowers.

Inside the pavilion sat a mature, elegant woman with long black hair, dressed in a dark robe. She was gently caressing a massive, magnificent golden harp. As her fingertips plucked the strings, they released soul-stirring notes.

Alex narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze as sharp as a blade.

If he guessed correctly, this woman in black must be Pandora!

Athena wasn’t the only one making secret arrangements; the Underworld faction hadn’t been idle these past years either.

Unbeknownst to everyone, Hades’ faction had surprisingly extended its reach right into the core of the Sanctuary.

The dark-haired beauty seemed to notice Alex’s arrival. She stopped playing, and her deep purple eyes looked toward him with a trace of amusement and scrutiny.

This woman’s appearance could only be described as flawless. Her facial features, her figure, and even her every subtle movement were absolutely perfect.

She was a work of art meticulously sculpted by the gods.

According to legend, Pandora was the first human woman, jointly created by Hephaestus and Zeus. Her very being was filled with temptation, deceit, and sensuality!

The first human woman molded by the gods truly had her extraordinary qualities.

She bowed slightly, her movements elegant and brimming with allure. Beneath her black robe, her full, snow-white cleavage was faintly visible, exuding a mature and dangerous charm.

"Hello, Alex. I am Pandora, the representative of Hades, the King of the Underworld, in the mortal realm."

Her voice was like the sound of a harp—low and magnetic, carrying an imperceptible bewitchment.

"I finally get to meet you. Please, have a seat!"

Alex’s expression didn’t waver in the slightest as he spoke coldly.

"There’s no need. State your purpose! If this is about persuading me to submit to Hades in exchange for the gift of eternal life, save your breath!"

He couldn’t even completely trust Athena, so how could he possibly submit to Hades?

How could gaining eternal life through the charity of others ever compare to the absolute freedom of igniting one’s own Divine Fire to achieve true immortality?
