Chapter 1061: Chapter 1046: Sound Through the Wall (Part 3)

The footsteps were soft, Old Xu walked silently, once again smoothly approaching behind one of the two thugs in the living room.

Settled, Old Xu did not rush to act. After carefully confirming that the thug opposite was sound asleep, he swiftly took action.

The right arm encircled, Old Xu exerted force to pull the thug lying supine on the bench outward, and as the thug awoke in astonishment, his left palm quickly followed, like a giant fan firmly covering the thug’s mouth.

The thug tried to make a sound, but Old Xu’s arm muscles continued to swell like a giant clamp on the thug’s throat, causing his cheeks to redden further, and the obstructed breathing led to the thug’s chest rising and falling.

At the critical moment between life and death, the thug also erupted with his last bit of potential, his hands incessantly grabbing the bulging arm restraining his neck.

Unfortunately, that small strength was no match for Old Xu, who was well-trained for years, and finally, after a bout of struggle, the thug’s feet slowly stilled on the floor, his weasel face weakly slumping to one side.

Dead! Just like that, the thug was strangled to death in the deep midnight by someone.

Righteous deeds end in demise, and Old Xu felt no sympathy for the scum before him.

With one down, Old Xu immediately locked his target on the head of the other thug in the living room.

The bastard was still sleeping soundly, utterly oblivious to the slightest hint of danger, even with his brother strangled beside him, he was unaware.

So it’s said, just on this point, being killed isn’t strange at all for them.

After all, the two’s vigilance was clear, dying was not unjust.

With a distance of over 2 meters, Old Xu did not walk quickly, to ensure safety he nearly crawled forward.

Once reaching the target, he resorted to the same tactic, of course, no knives were used, previously forced by necessity, the two thugs in the bedroom were too close; not using a knife to deal with them would certainly alert the other.

But now, there was only one living being, Old Xu didn’t want to add more blood, to avoid stirring outside zombies.

After all, these zombie creatures have quite keen noses, despite being outside while you’re inside, invariably they might sniff out the blood scent within.

Spotting the right position, Old Xu choked the thug’s throat; this time, he didn’t engage in excess actions, after pulling the thug away from the recliner, both palms swung left and right, and during the twist, a crisp bone-cracking sound ensued, looking at the thug again, his eyes were already ashen white, off to King Yama to get a residence permit.

Having ended two more thugs, along with the two in the bedroom, Old Xu so far had successfully dealt with four pieces of trash.

Everything proceeded as he anticipated steadily, yet until now, he had not seen Hu Chao’s whereabouts, causing Old Xu some frustration.

After all, the latter was the head honcho of this group, if Hu Chao wasn’t eliminated, Old Xu always felt uneasy.

As the saying goes, catch the thief by capturing the king first, Old Xu continued his assassination mission.

Two rooms and one hall, Old Xu had now accomplished dealing with the living room and bedroom thugs.

According to the layout of his place, he knew the only remaining locations where thugs might exist were three.

One was the kitchen, but considering the space of this floor’s kitchen, Old Xu didn’t think thugs would choose to stay in it overnight or sleep.

The second was the bathroom, unless one was an idiot, neither would thugs choose it.

The last spot was the other bedroom inside, due to not knowing how many thugs have entered, Old Xu deduced the next actions might be somewhat troublesome.

Breathing out a sigh, no matter what difficulties lie ahead, the work that needs doing must be done, the ones needing killing must be killed, Old Xu adjusted slightly and moved again.

The house was of a compact structure, after just a few steps, Old Xu arrived outside the target bedroom.

It seemed Hu Chao was somewhat vigilant, he hadn’t left the door wide open like the deceased thugs outside. This undoubtedly added some difficulty to Old Xu’s assassination.

However, Old Xu was not anxious, anyways the thug inside wouldn’t wake for a bit, he pressed close to the wall and listened with his ear at the door.

Sure enough, without any surprise, snores echoed intermittently within.

More importantly, through patient listening, Old Xu could basically conclude there was only one person inside.

If only one, then slaughtering would unquestionably be much easier.

With plans in mind, Old Xu didn’t delay, he proceeded to gingerly turn the doorknob, then quickly withdrew.

This was to prevent the sound of the door from disturbing the thug inside.

After waiting for a moment, confirming nothing abnormal within, Old Xu cautiously pulled the door open a crack, then darted in like a phantom.

Bending low, Old Xu swiftly huddled, his eyes scanning across the entire room.

Upon spotting the man lying on the big bed, Old Xu’s eyes suddenly sparked with two sharp glints.

Hu Chao! It was Hu Chao lying on the bed!

Undoubtedly, Hu Chao was exactly whom Old Xu was seeking, as long as he took care of him, today’s affair would essentially be more than half done.

He didn’t expect this guy would sleep alone in the room, likely dreaming his midnight attack was unimaginable.

Indeed! Hu Chao never expected someone would breach his privacy in the dead of night.

He slept soundly, dreaming with a flirtatious woman, lost in clouds.

Watching Hu Chao’s lively expression, Old Xu quietly approached.

For trash like Hu Chao, Old Xu didn’t plan to let him die easily.

He glanced around, finally settling his gaze on a discarded white pillow on the floor.

Bending to pick up the pillow, Old Xu walked slowly to the front of Wu Chao, the latter’s sleeping lip corner had a glistening wet spot.

"Die!" The heart shouted silently, Old Xu pounced like a mountain tiger onto Hu Chao.

Under the heavy pressure, Hu Chao awoke suddenly, but at this moment, Old Xu’s pillow had already landed heavily.

No pain, but the suffocation felt more unbearable than pain for Hu Chao.

He struggled to rid himself of Old Xu’s comfort, but the pressing Old Xu was like an immovable mountain, making all Hu Chao’s struggling futile.

The more Hu Chao moved, his breathing became more urgent, with his mouth closed he’s restricted, the oxygen stored inside swiftly depleted.

Finally, Hu Chao’s face clearly showed his bulging veins and nearly protruding eyes.

Old Xu knew this was Hu Chao’s final moment, he understood how agonizing being suffocated felt.

Because during past trainings, Old Xu too was tortured this way, to be honest, at that time he was tormented to the point of wanting to die.

Two minutes, Hu Chao managed to persevere for two minutes, two minutes later, he finally suffocated under Old Xu’s pressure.

If possible, Hu Chao might wish he could have ended that torment sooner, since just past those two minutes, they were definitely the most painful period of Hu Chao’s life.

Having killed Hu Chao, Old Xu felt an unprompted relief.

Yet, this feeling vanished quickly, after a brief moment of joy, Old Xu regained focus, and released the hands suffocating Hu Chao.
