Chapter 918: Acquired Giant Tenseigan & The Sudden Emergency!
“Aoki actually informed the Akatsuki Organization that the Amatsukami’s base is situated on the Moon? And the leader of Amatsukami, Yama, is an Ōtsutsuki?” muttered Kuroto while holding Aoki’s memory ball with a stunned expression, and added, “And Akatsuki actually bought Aoki’s ridiculous thoughts?”
Perhaps this was because of the effectiveness of the Deterrence created by Amatsukami and its Mysteriousness nature that the Akatsuki were willing to learn any information, no matter how ridiculous or unbelievable it may be, and they were even willing to exchange that information with a puppet like Aoki.
Thinking about it more carefully, given how carefully Akatsuki attempted to prepare their attacks on the tailed beasts tonight without getting closer to Konoha at all, it can be seen how afraid they are of Amatsukami.
Because of the previous interaction between Obito and Zetsu with the members of Amatsukami, the Akatsuki Organization has likely reached the conclusion that a few members of Amatsukami are always present in Konoha. Therefore, it’s best not to step foot inside the village, lest it lead to another war with Amatsukami, for which they aren’t ready.
This is why, after the last attack on Iwagakure, Akatsuki chose to lay dormant. Only now, when they were sure that some sort of chaos would break out in Konoha tonight, did they take their chance to attack almost all the Jinchuriki.
Thinking this, Kuroto couldn’t help but click his tongue in annoyance, ‘Tch.’
This time, whichever Jinchuriki the alliance of the five great shinobi villages lost to the Akatsuki Organization, it was entirely Konoha’s fault. Although they managed to prevent the Uchiha Clan from ascending to the position of Godaime Hokage, in doing so they caused the Uchiha Clan to rebel, resulting in such troublesome events tonight.
Of course, Kuroto is also at fault. He was fully aware that the Akatsuki wouldn’t just sit around and would likely take advantage of this chaos within Konoha, but he had his personal reasons for the chaos to break out as well. If not for the Uchiha’s Coup, he wouldn’t have been able to resolve the threat of Aoki and acquire the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan.
‘Sigh, this is going to be troublesome,’ thought Kuroto as he destroyed the memory ball and removed the shinobi bag tied around Aoki’s waist.
When Aoki retreated from Konoha after ten days of torture inside Itachi’s Tsukuyomi space, he killed Elder Aoyama and took away the pair of Byakugan from his eyes. Following Kuroto’s instructions, Itachi used the Transcription Seal to seal his Visual Prowess inside the Byakugan of Elder Aoyama. Therefore, this pair of Byakugan must be recovered and brought back.Of course, a pair of Byakugan itself holds great research value. Although Kuroto doesn’t need to study the Byakugan, he wouldn’t mind keeping an additional pair with him. After all, it might come in handy sometime in the future.
In fact, a bold idea has also appeared in his mind – to transplant this pair of Byakugan into a clone, then conduct experimentation on the clone using Genetic Fluid to uncover the secrets of awakening recessive genes and find the key to awakening the Tenseigan.
With such intentions, Kuroto took out a small Nutrition Capsule and sealed the pair of Byakugan inside it. After that, he looked at Aoki and watched as his soul was completely disintegrated, leaving only a puppet in front of him.
To ensure that Aoki was indeed dead, Kuroto went to the area where Aoki’s main body was kept and completely destroyed it as well.
With this, the threat of Aoki was permanently resolved. Of course, this doesn’t mean his work here is done. After pondering for a while, he destroyed the entire structure and watched as the room was buried with rubble, thinking, ‘Since you chose this place as your base of operation, then I shall make this very place your burial ground.’
Anyway, this is convenient for him.
After dealing with the matter regarding Aoki, Kuroto returned to the hall that housed the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan.
What happened with Aoki has made him realize that he cannot exploit the Giant Tenseigan; otherwise, he might face similar consequences. He must properly take care of the treasure before him.
In fact, if he were to exploit the Giant Tenseigan, there’s even a possibility that it might betray him when facing Toneri.
Since the Giant Tenseigan of the Ōtsutsuki Clan has instinctively helped him on multiple occasions, there’s a chance that the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan might also obey Toneri over him. After all, both Kuroto and Toneri have the highest authority over the Giant Tenseigan due to their pure bloodline.
With that in mind, Kuroto decided to temporarily deactivate the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan with a seal and use it only after studying it for a while.
He weaved the required hand signs to seal the Giant Tenseigan, and as he completed the seal, the brightened star slowly dimmed. Its surface was then covered with a layer of stone, giving it the appearance of an ancient stone monument.
With the surface of the Giant Tenseigan completely covered in stone, the emission of Tenseigan Chakra also stopped, making it impossible to determine the true nature of the stone monument.
‘Well… that takes care of that,’ thought Kuroto as he breathed a sigh of relief.
To facilitate the transfer of the Giant Tenseigan from this hidden underground cave in the Land of Rain to his flying fortress Ancor Vantian, Kuroto has temporarily sealed the Giant Tenseigan.
After all, this damp cave in the Land of Rain is not a good place to hide a treasure as precious as the Giant Tenseigan. Moreover, keeping it here will also increase the number of places he must go to check up on things. Kuroto doesn’t have that kind of time on his hands, especially not with his position as the Godaime Hokage.
Also, this place is not secure enough; anyone could stumble upon it, causing problems for him in the future.
Compared to this cave, Ancor Vantian is obviously a much better choice. It floats irregularly above the clouds around the borders of the Land of Water, making it almost impossible for anyone to notice. Thus, the Giant Tenseigan will be safe there.
‘Now the question is… which route should I take to transfer this thing to Ancor Vantian?’ As Kuroto pondered this issue, suddenly, the memories and experiences of tonight’s events in Konoha that his Shadow Clone had undergone flowed into his mind.
After learning that not only the Mizukage and Raikage’s entourage but even Naruto and Fu, who were sent to Mount Myōboku, were attacked and captured, Kuroto was taken aback. ‘Damn it… the two of them were supposed to be safe there, but it turns out that they were completely isolated at Mount Myōboku when Nagato appeared at that place!’
“What should I do now?” muttered Kuroto with a doubtful expression.
Unlike the last time when he was captured by Orochimaru, this time Naruto is in danger. After all, Akatsuki is after the tailed beasts; therefore, they will definitely extract the Nine-Tails from his body and store it inside the Demonic Statue of Outer Path, which will undoubtedly result in Naruto’s death.
Naruto is the ‘Child of the Prophecy’ and a shinobi with unlimited potential. So, no matter what, Kuroto can’t afford to have him get killed.
But what can he do?
First of all, Naruto should be at the newest base of the Akatsuki Organization. But that’s not the major problem; the major problem is the fact that that place would be crawling with all the members of Akatsuki.
“I can’t just barge in there!” muttered Kuroto while shaking his head. Then suddenly, a light bulb appeared in his mind as his eyes landed on Aoki’s puppet standing in front of him, and a smile appeared on his face, “That’s it!”
