Reborn into Naruto World with Tenseigan

Chapter 917: The Gaint… or Medium Tenseigan?

Kuroto glanced at the corner of the hall where Aoki was standing and did not bother to say anything else.

The threat of Hyuga Aoki has been resolved, and the man has played the role he was supposed to, therefore, Kuroto no longer paid the puppet any mind. In fact, he has also discovered the position of Aoki’s real body that is hiding behind a wall not far away, but for now, Kuroto has not done anything to him.

After a while of observation, Kuroto has ascertained that having lost the support of the Giant Tenseigan, Aoki can no longer return his soul to his real body. Doing so would be akin to killing himself. After all, the after-effects of the ten days of torture he went through haven’t completely disappeared. The reason he was able to keep his soul inside the puppet was because of the support of the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan. But now that there is no longer the support of Tenseigan Chakra, he can’t do anything anymore. Even moving his body is no longer possible for him.

‘Well, that’s what you get for being too overconfident in your abilities without even understanding the extent of powers your enemy possesses,’ thought Kuroto as he put the thought about Aoki at the back of his mind and focused on the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan before him.

Looking at it, Kuroto slowly reached out his hand and touched it gently as he muttered, ‘It did not expect it to be this small…’

There was only one word to describe the size of the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan, ‘Small!’

Based on what he recalls about the Giant Tenseigan of the Ōtsutsuki Clan on the moon, the size of the Giant Tenseigan before him is too small, at most three to four meters in diameter.

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that this Giant Tenseigan is not even a quarter of the original Giant Tenseigan in terms of volume. Heck, even calling this one a Giant Tenseigan doesn’t feel right to Kuroto.

“Perhaps I should call it medium Tenseigan,” muttered Kuroto with a chuckle.

However, thinking about it carefully, he did not feel that there was anything wrong with such a size.

After all, the Giant Tenseigan on the Moon was created over a millennium ago and contains the Byakugan of all the Ōtsutsuki, which easily numbers several thousand.

Unlike the Giant Tenseigan on the Moon, the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan was created only a few centuries ago and only contains the Chakra of the members of the branch family. Their Byakugan isn’t even merged with this Tenseigan, so it’s natural that its size will remain small.

Moreover, the Ōtsutsuki were naturally more powerful than the Hyugas, therefore, their Chakra was also more powerful than the Hyugas, so it’s natural that the Chakra that the Giant Tenseigan on the Moon has is far more than the Chakra that the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan contains.

Anyway, putting aside the matter of the size of the Giant Tenseigan of the Hyuga Clan, he finally brought his hand to its surface and touched it.

Saaaa!

The moment Kuroto touched the Giant Tenseigan, it started to emit a bright light.

At the same time, a lot of information that was sealed within the Giant Tenseigan also flooded inside Kuroto’s brain.

This information was not only about the various kinds of the powers of the Giant Tenseigan such as absorbing Chakra, absorbing Ninjutsu, absorbing memory balls, and puppetry, along with many other Tenseigan powers that Kuroto can already use thanks to his pair of Tenseigan, but a few other abilities as well that he couldn’t use before.

After obtaining all the information from the Giant Tenseigan, Kuroto’s expression was a mix of excitement and concern. He was thrilled about expanding his set of techniques, but his frown was due to the current state of the Giant Tenseigan. It didn’t live up to his expectations.

The reason for his disappointment lay in the fact that the Giant Tenseigan had been sealed and inactivated for over a century. As a result, it was in an extremely weakened state when Aoki released the seal and activated it. The issue compounded when, after releasing the seal, Aoki not only neglected to address the weakened state of the Giant Tenseigan but also used it recklessly, drawing out a significant amount of Chakra from it.

This was especially evident when Aoki infused a tailed-beast level of Chakra into the Box of Bliss, aiming to free Satori from it and unleash havoc in Konoha. In the process, Aoki extracted an excessive amount of Tenseigan Chakra, further deteriorating the state of the Tenseigan beyond its initial weakened condition.

Kuroto believes that if Aoki had continued to place such high demands on the Giant Tenseigan without addressing its underlying issues, the Giant Tenseigan might have eventually collapsed and disintegrated entirely. “No wonder there was no resistance at all!” Kuroto muttered as a sudden realization dawned upon him.

Not too long ago, Kuroto had taken control of the Giant Tenseigan away from Aoki using his superior authority, as he possessed a pair of Tenseigan. What struck him as odd was the complete absence of resistance from the Giant Tenseigan during this act. Despite Kuroto’s authority over the Giant Tenseigan being derived from its current possessor, Aoki, there should have been some form of resistance that would lead to a clash of authority. However, no such confrontation occurred. The moment the Giant Tenseigan sensed Kuroto’s Chakra, it betrayed Aoki and aligned itself with Kuroto.

Initially, Kuroto was uncertain about the exact cause of this occurrence. He speculated that it might have been due to the weakened state of Aoki’s soul. Nevertheless, he has now grasped the genuine reason behind this incident. Evidently, the Giant Tenseigan had grown weary of Aoki, who incessantly made demands of it without addressing its problems or treating it as the treasure it should have been revered as. As a result, when Kuroto—a figure of higher authority—emerged, the Giant Tenseigan swiftly abandoned Aoki without the slightest hesitation and chose to align with Kuroto.

Having received this revelation, Kuroto realized that he must avoid following in Aoki’s footsteps. He understood the importance of properly caring for the Giant Tenseigan, lest it forsake him as well, should someone with greater authority come into play. While such a scenario seemed unlikely, he wasn’t willing to take any risks and made a solemn vow to ensure its proper maintenance.

Having made his decision, Kuroto withdrew his hand from the Giant Tenseigan and approached Aoki. With the Giant Tenseigan acquired and the desired knowledge obtained, Aoki’s purpose had been fulfilled. However, before concluding Aoki’s role, Kuroto harbored one final curiosity. With this intent, he inserted his hand into Aoki’s chest, retrieving a memory ball, and commenced reading its contents. The memory ball contained a plethora of information, which Kuroto swiftly skimmed through until he arrived at the specific segment detailing Aoki’s collaboration with the Akatsuki Organization.

Upon perusing the details regarding their terms of cooperation, Kuroto found himself astonished. “This…? Aoki actually informed the Akatsuki Organization that the Amatsukami’s base is situated on the Moon? And the leader of Amatsukami, Yama, is an Ōtsutsuki? What’s even more incredulous is that the Akatsuki Organization accepted Aoki’s assertions and supported him with such a puppet.”
