Chapter 1094: Uzumaki Naruto vs Shira III
Boom!
With a deafening roar, Shira collided head-on with the five chakra tails of the Nine-Tails.
The impact was immense, sending shockwaves through the already fractured ground and creating even more cracks.
Swish, swish, swish…
Debris from the collision flew out, striking the Four Purple Flame Formation that separated the arena from the stands. As the rocks continuously hit the barrier, ripples spread across the flame formation, vaporizing anything that collided with it.
The entire arena began to tremble, “Ah…” “Is it an earthquake?” “What’s happening?”
The audience, feeling the tremors beneath their seats and seeing the smoke-filled arena, was horrified.
Although the Four Purple Flame Formation blocked the flying debris, it couldn’t fully contain the shockwave resulting from the collision between Shira and the five massive chakra tails. The impact rippled through the ground, extending to the stands and shaking the entire colosseum.
“Please remain calm! The Colosseum is sturdy, and all necessary precautions have been taken. Nothing will go wrong!” The ninjas responsible for maintaining order quickly spread out, reassuring the panicked crowd.
Meanwhile, several ninjas specializing in Earth-style rushed to the underground pillars supporting the arena, using their jutsu to reinforce the foundation and ensure it wouldn’t collapse. While there were no visible cracks in the foundation yet, the Konoha ninjas weren’t taking any chances. This was only the first fight, and with more intense battles ahead, these precautions were crucial.Despite the chaos in the stands, the fierce battle in the arena continued unabated.
After activating the Fifth Breath, Shira found himself still blocked by the five enormous chakra tails of the Nine-Tails. The chakra tails, each more than ten meters long and wide enough to rival a human, loomed in front of him.
Shira took a deep breath and punched with all his strength, attempting to knock them away.
The impact seemed to break the tail into wisps of orange chakra, but they quickly reformed, as if with a will of their own. In the blink of an eye, the tails were back in their terrifying form.
Naruto wasn’t idle either. Taking advantage of the cover provided by his chakra tails, he lunged forward and engaged Shira directly.
Although it was technically a one-on-one fight, the presence of the five chakra tails made it feel like Shira was up against six opponents. Each tail moved with a mind of its own, perfectly coordinating with Naruto’s attacks.
With the Pseudo-Tailed Beast Chakra enveloping him, Naruto’s strength and speed surged to an extraordinary level, far surpassing Shira’s. Additionally, the protective layer of Nine-Tails’ chakra made Naruto almost impervious to injury; any damage he sustained healed almost instantly. This allowed Naruto to fight with reckless abandon, combining his own techniques with the wild, unpredictable style of the Nine-Tails.
At times, Naruto and his tails would create chakra bursts, pouncing on Shira like a wild beast on its prey. Other times, his fists and feet would clash with Shira’s using a Strong Fist fighting style he had honed over the past month under Guy’s teachings, making his movements difficult to predict and even harder to defend against.
The thick layer of Nine-Tails’ chakra also prevented Shira from attacking Naruto’s Tenketsu, gradually putting him on the defensive as Naruto began to overpower and thrash him around.

In the Stands
Seeing the tide of battle turning against Shira, the Godaime Kazekage sighed inwardly. ‘What kind of monster is that boy, to push Shira-chan into such a difficult situation?’ she thought.
The Sandaime Tsuchikage chuckled, “Are Konoha’s ninjas truly superior in skill?”
The Yondaime Raikage shook his head. “It seems that relying solely on Taijutsu is pointless when facing a Jinchūriki.”
He spoke from experience. Although his Taijutsu skills rivaled those of the Sandaime Raikages, even he struggled immensely when fighting his brother Bee, especially when Bee tapped into the power of his tailed beast. More often than not, their battles ended with the Raikage collapsing from exhaustion while Bee still had more than enough Chakra to continue fighting unexhausted for days.
Yondaime Mizukage who rarely spoke, couldn’t help but sigh. “The Nine-Tails is truly in a league of its own.”
As a perfect Jinchūriki himself, Yagura could enter tailed beast form at will without risk. Yet, he knew that the power he could muster was nowhere near that of the Nine-Tails. While Uzumaki Naruto still had much to learn before fully harnessing the Nine-Tails’ strength, Yagura could see that once Naruto mastered the complete transformation, his power would far surpass his own.
The other Kages couldn’t help but exchange glances at Yagura’s comment. It dawned on them that the Nine-Tails, which had been dormant and seemingly useless to Konoha for the past twelve years following the previous Jinchūriki’s death, had now become a formidable asset.
And with Uzumaki Naruto, still so young, already capable of a pseudo-tailed beast transformation, it was clear he had gained some control over the beast within him. As he continued to develop this ability, there was little doubt he would eventually master its full power.
‘It seems Konoha has truly emerged from the shadow of weakness caused by the Fourth Hokage’s death and the loss of the previous Nine-Tails Jinchūriki,’ the Kages collectively realized.

At the Arena
Naruto’s movements became increasingly fluid, and the transitions between his attacks grew smoother with each passing moment. Meanwhile, Shira, struggling to avoid the strikes from Naruto’s five giant chakra tails, frantically searched for a countermeasure.
‘I can’t keep this up!’ Shira realized, as Naruto showed no signs of tiring, while he himself was quickly running out of stamina. Knowing that he couldn’t maintain the Seven Heavenly Breaths Technique for much longer, Shira took a deep breath and resolved to go all out in a final, decisive attack.
His decision was driven not only by Naruto’s relentless adaptability but also by the severe strain on his cardiopulmonary and respiratory systems. If he didn’t end the fight soon, his body would give out, leading to inevitable defeat.
With his mind made up, Shira abandoned all thoughts of defense and dodging. He gathered every ounce of his strength and launched a fierce assault on Naruto.
Bang!
Caught off guard, Naruto was struck hard and sent flying across the arena.
‘Did I succeed?’ Shira thought, a surge of hope filling him.
Kacha!
But in an instant, Naruto’s five chakra tails plunged into the ground, anchoring him firmly. Not only did they prevent him from crashing into the Four Purple Flame Formation, but they also propelled him back toward Shira with astonishing speed.
Seeing Naruto use his tails to reverse the situation, Shira’s brief moment of triumph vanished, replaced by shock. Before he could react, Naruto closed the distance and delivered a powerful punch, sending Shira sprawling.
The impact of the punch knocked Shira unconscious, and he collapsed to the ground, defeated.
As soon as Shira lost consciousness, Naruto exited his pseudo-Jinchūriki Mode and, with a wide grin, shouted to the audience, “I won!”
Thunderous cheers erupted from the stands, and the Four Purple Flame Formations separating the battlefield from the spectators slowly dissipated amidst the applause.
Itachi, acting as the referee, entered the arena and announced, “The winner of this match is Konohagakure’s Uzumaki Naruto!”

Sunagakure Waiting Room
Temari stared in disbelief. “Shira… Shira actually lost?”
She hadn’t expected Shira to be defeated by a Genin from Konohagakure who seemed so unreliable.
Itsuki offered a wry smile. “It looks like we underestimated Konoha’s Genin.”
