Reborn In The 90's: Saving My Siblings With A Fishing System
Chapter 467: Marry that Man!
Han Yong: "..."
Honestly, he had no idea as well, but looking at the blaming look in the eyes of his grandmother, he felt as if he had been shot while lying down. He closed his eyes and stopped himself from crying out loud. "Grandma, I know it looks like I bullied her, but I did not do anything. She just started to throw up after picking up that piece of pork belly."
At that moment, Han Yong felt that it would have been better if he had sent Han Ziyan away from the start. Looking at her excessive reaction, he had a feeling that this matter was not going to end any time soon.
Second Aunt Han also came out of her room when she heard the commotion. When she saw Han Ziyan being violently sick in the flower bed, she could not help but frown with a hint of disgust in her eyes. What was this woman doing? It was bad enough that she came to freeload; she was acting as if they had made her clean the restroom. Who was she trying to disgust here?
Second Aunt Han rolled her eyes at the woman. Since this girl wanted to ruin their festive meal, she was going to disgust her in return. Curling her lips into a mocking sneer, Second Aunt Han spoke contemptuously, "Ziyan, there is no need to overreact in such a manner, right? If a stranger were to look at you, they would think that you are pregnant with a child."
She only said those words because she wanted to make Han Ziyan uncomfortable. But who would have thought that as soon as she finished speaking, Han Ziyan would end up choking on her vomit?
"Who...who is pregnant? Don’t you try to ruin my reputation, or else I will definitely see through this matter till the end." Han Ziyan reacted like she was a cat whose tail had been stepped on. She looked at Second Aunt Han as if she was going to eat her alive if she dared to say another word full of nonsense. However, her reaction was too excessive, which made even Old Madam Han take a step back, much less Second Aunt Han, who was the target of Han Ziyan’s glare.
However, Second Aunt Han was not someone who would back down. She immediately straightened her back and puffed her chest out before saying in a loud voice, "What? Why are you acting so sensitive? If you are not pregnant, then you are not pregnant. What’s the point of acting in such a manner? It only makes you look like you have a guilty conscience."
Han Ziyan’s face turned pale when she heard Second Aunt Han’s remark. Clenching her fists, Han Ziyan bit her lips with a bitter expression on her face. Her eyes turned teary as she exclaimed angrily, "Second Aunt, do you really have to ruin my reputation like this? I know your family hates me, but there is no need for you to say such harsh words to me, right?"
If it were another person, they might have felt a little guilty upon seeing Han Ziyan’s tears, but she was unlucky. Because the person in front of her was not a man. Second Aunt Han did not feel guilty when she was facing her biological nieces and nephews when it came to her benefits and interests. So how could she feel even the lightest bit upset when dealing with Han Ziyan, who was not even related to their family?
Rolling her eyes, Second Aunt Han placed her hands on her hips and said angrily, "Then why don’t we call a doctor? Let him do a test. If you are not pregnant, then I will apologise to you, but if you are pregnant, then what? What are you going to do?"
Han Ziyan immediately jumped in the air when she heard Second Aunt Han’s words. She stammered, "I...I...why should I get tested?"
She tried to suppress the panic in her heart and pretend as if nothing was wrong, but Han Ziyan was still young. She did not know how to control her expressions as well when she was older. She pursed her lips and tried to make herself look like she was wronged, but the more she pretended that there was nothing wrong, the more it made everyone realise that there was something very wrong.
"Get inside." Old Madam Han was an experienced woman; what had she not seen in her life? The panic in Han Ziyan’s eyes plus the sudden shortness of breath as if she was worried that someone would find out the truth – what was there to check? This girl was really pregnant! She closed her eyes and turned to look at the rest of the family, including Second Aunt Han and glared at them. "What are you all looking at me like I am performing a circus here? Go inside."
No one dared to say anything and followed Old Madam Han inside the house; the one who was scared the most was Han Ziyan, who had slipped the cat out of the bag. Even though she wanted to say that she was not pregnant, she had a feeling that no one was going to believe it. Trembling from head to toe like a cowardly cat, she walked inside the house, wishing that she had stayed back with her mother.
As soon as the Han family entered the house, the joyful atmosphere from earlier had vanished. No one dared to even breathe loudly as they were worried that Old Madam Han’s temper would flare up at any time.
Even Han Yong lowered her head as she knew that the old woman was going to lose her temper at any moment. She shrank her neck, wishing she could hide herself.
"Alright, Mom. We can talk about these matters calmly." Second Uncle Han began to speak, but as soon as he finished speaking, Old Madam Han suddenly slammed her hand on the table with a bang. The children of the Han family had all grown up. They were mentally prepared, so they were naturally not frightened. However, Han Ziyan, who was the one in the ’wrong’, jumped in the air as she was frightened out of her wits.
