Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 250: Jacob vs Drammond: Part 1
Seeing the sheer amount of raw power this young man possessed gave Jacob confirmation that <Luck Manipulation> had been responsible for all the weak opponents he had been facing. Now, there was no reason to doubt it.
He had left Uga outside, in the hall of the Tower of Sun, and just like a robot that had been deactivated, Uga stood there, silent and motionless. The Meereens were simply like this. When they were not fulfilling their duty of guiding the contestants, they would usually stand in place without conversing or doing anything.
They did not require sustenance from food or other things like humans or most races did. Just as Uga had explained to Jacob, they were created for a primary purpose. Anything outside that purpose was practically impossible for them.
...
Jacob and Drammond gazed at each other silently, and in a flash of lightning, both men vanished from their spots, leaving monster-sized craters in the ground where they had once stood.
On one end was a brown streak of lightning moving at supersonic speed. On the other was a blue streak of lightning moving at an equal or greater speed.
Jacob and Drammond collided with enough force to shatter the entire boulder they had both been standing on.
Tiny pieces of rock flew in every direction across the dimensional world. They now floated in the air, each standing with one foot on a minuscule fragment of the once enormous boulder that had been scattered across the area by the sheer, incalculable impact of their collision.
Drammond was by far the fastest opponent Jacob had ever faced. Even Light, who could move through the shadows, or his brothers, not even Rhoarin, was this fast.
The power scaling was just right. Drammond was closer to Jacob’s level than anyone else the young man had met. Well... everyone except Aaaninja.
...
Chaos erupted as they threw blows at each other, neither of them pulling their punches.
Jacob swung a punch at Drammond’s face, his intention being to crush the young man’s skull.
But Drammond merely shifted his head to the side, allowing Jacob’s lightning-fused fist to glide past his face. The force of the air pushed by the white-haired young man’s punch caused another large boulder a reasonable distance away to crumble and fall deep into the abyss.
Drammond’s fighting technique suggested that most of his power was stored in his legs, as he relied heavily on his kicks. He swung a hard knee toward Jacob’s abdomen, but Jacob backflipped through the air with nothing to hold on to.
Drammond followed quickly with two hard punches, which Jacob immediately deflected with both hands, creating yet another ripple effect.
They both jumped off the small pieces of the shattered boulder and landed on another one, a significant distance separating them.
Jacob immediately raised his hand, manifesting a mountain-sized ball of blue fire with bright flickers of blue lightning dancing around it.
Without hesitation, he sent the ball of fire towards Drammond.
Drammond took off, running sideways as he evaded the fireball. Jacob did not stop. He caused the air to solidify into razor-sharp disks shaped like shurikens and, along with a dozen other lightning-enveloped fireballs, sent them one after another, each aimed at the dark-haired young man.
Drammond gritted his teeth and ran sideways as fast as possible, evading every single attack.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
The ground was being completely destroyed as each fireball and shuriken collided with the extremely hard concrete.
All that could be seen was the light-brown glow of Drammond’s eyes. He had to launch a counterattack at Jacob.
Drammond had an affinity for sand, so he immediately manifested a dozen tank-sized arrows and fired them at Jacob all at once.
Unbeknownst to him, Jacob had an even stronger affinity for sand and, as such, turned his own arrows against him. But before they could even land, Drammond stopped them and decided not to use sand anymore, as there was no use.
...
While Jacob had an ability that allowed him to see into the future, Drammond had an ability that allowed him to predict whatever move his opponent was going to make and calculate a possible outcome within nanoseconds.
While Drammond had been running to evade Jacob’s attacks, it could be seen that the young man was merely circling around, gradually closing the gap between himself and Jacob so he could make his next move.
When Drammond had inched closer to a reasonable distance, he rose into the air as though he were levitating and drew his fist backward, loading up a hard blow that would knock Jacob’s jaw out of place.
What he did not prepare for was the fact that Jacob could already tell what his plan was.
Just before Drammond’s fist connected, he felt a powerful blow to his chest that caused him to fly more than a thousand meters away, breaking every boulder that presented itself as an obstacle into pieces.
There was no end to the world they now stood in, and most of the boulders that floated in the air were now nothing more than rubble on the ground. But since the world was self-healing, there was nothing to worry about.
Drammond grunted loudly as his back smashed through large boulders of concrete.
Who punched him?
He thought to himself as he collided back-first into the last boulder and groaned.
A line of blood slid down the side of his lip and down his chin.
Lo and behold, he had not taken into account that Jacob had control over shadow creatures, and one of those creatures was the shadow of Savant Hardin.
That had been what punched Drammond so hard that he was sent flying so far away.
Jacob had trained Savant, Jirin, and Jaran and evolved them so much that they now surpassed even the strongest cultivators he knew to exist.
Drammond wiped his mouth and wanted to move away from the boulder, but in a flash, faster than the human eye could comprehend, Jacob appeared before him.
A bright bluish-gold glint shone in his eyes, and his fist, entirely covered in concrete, was already aimed directly at Drammond’s face.
Drammond’s eyes widened...
