Drammond forcefully moved himself to the side, and the large boulder behind him was instantly crushed to bits under the force of Jacob’s hard fist.

They now floated in the air, Jacob had given himself the power of flight a long time ago, and Drammond also had that same power, so they both levitated as though gravity did not exist in Kalgin at all.

Jacob had many thoughts coursing through his head, one of which was that this was a friendly sparring session, and as such, it would be purely a physical battle.

Another thought he had was that there was no point in plundering Drammond’s powers since this was not a competitive fight. If it was, that would’ve been the first thing he would do, to completely render his opponent useless.

...

Drammond panted as he floated a couple of meters away from Jacob, a smudge of blood staining his chin as sweat dripped from his forehead. Jacob, on the other hand, floated above ground as though it were the most normal thing to do. His hair was still intact, there was not even a drop of sweat beading on his forehead, and his breathing was as steady as ever.

The real reason why Jacob never sweated was that he had completely erased his sweat glands using the Dao of Oblivion, and as such, it was impossible for him to sweat any longer.

He found sweating uncomfortable and had therefore decided never to sweat again during fights, or when he was completing his sign-in objectives.

...

"You’ve fought well, I think I underestimated you," Jacob said lightly, a smug smile plastered across his face as he floated with his hands behind his back.

"Huff... huff... you haven’t exactly won yet."

Drammond did not look particularly exhausted, but he did not appear to be at his strongest either. As a reincarnator, Drammond had been granted complete affinity with sand, earning the name "the sand god."

Drammond was able to manipulate sand at a molecular and cosmic level, which earned him his position as the ruler of his world.

"I’m waiting for you." Jacob smiled in response, a faint glint flashing in his eyes.

This time, Jacob allowed Drammond to dash towards him at full speed, both of them had tremendous levels of speed, enough to break the sound barrier as they moved through the air. Drammond’s eyes glowed in a deep white as he lunged towards Jacob with nothing but ferocity in his eyes.

The side of Jacob’s lips curved into a knowing smile as he watched the other young man inch even closer.

Drammond manifested a ball of sand, which immediately began to crystallize and form into two sharp glass shards that he held with a very firm grip and aimed at Jacob.

Drammond attacked with one, slicing through the air as he plunged the glass shard towards Jacob’s eyes, but Jacob was fast, extremely fast. He moved his head to the side, effectively dodging one of them as he instantly caught, out of the corner of his eye, another one lunging towards him from the left side with otherworldly speed.

With his knowledge of martial arts, he moved his wrist outwards and collided with Drammond’s wrist, forcing the young man to let go of the glass shard unwillingly.

Drammond recovered quickly however, squatted to recover the shard with his other hand and swiped at Jacob’s feet, but Jacob simply floated one meter backwards, evading Drammond’s attack.

...

Drammond now held both shards in one hand, and they immediately began to crystallize in his palm again, turning into smaller pieces of glass, scattered in the air. They were the size of bees with sharp points all aimed at the white-haired young man. Jacob remained unfazed as Drammond sent the glass shards at him, with the intent of all of them piercing through his skin completely.

Jacob watched as these tiny specks of glass approached him at lightning speed, each one as dangerous as the next, he instantly scoffed and waved his hand, causing each one of them to freeze and fall into the near abyss below them. As he watched them fall, he could see a dark, sand-covered fist, aimed directly at his jaw.

The fist was moving so quickly that he could see the effects of the heat that had gathered around it as a result of how fast it came towards him.

Jacob raised his head and backflipped, dodging the fist, but he felt the impact as the punch tore through the air, causing an air bubble to form above them.

But just as he landed his backflip in the air, the fist came at him again, aimed at his abdomen. He could no longer see Drammond completely as the young man suddenly turned into a blur in his vision. Even with his eyes he still found it quite difficult to follow the young man’s movements.

...

BOOM!

Jacob had received his first blow, directly to his stomach. Although he did not feel it at all, it still sent him crashing into another boulder in the distance with the force of a meteor crashing into Earth. The young man was mildly stunned for the first time in a long time.

But he was also annoyed, as he clawed his way through the rubble that now fell through the cracks in the air. His body was still clean even as he dusted himself off.

He looked up and saw Drammond floating above him, a triumphant glint in the young man’s eyes as he looked at Jacob.

"You know, most people will instantly die from that." Drammond had a smug look on his face as he spoke. He now mirrored Jacob’s stance from earlier, trying to suggest that he had the upper hand, but Jacob merely smiled and was gone in a second from his spot, causing the rock debris to scatter and disintegrate even further.

The only thing that satisfied Jacob was the fact that he had completely stopped time in Kalgin, so they could literally fight in there for what might seem like two days in the outside world, but in reality, they would only have been gone for a fraction of a second.

The two young men kept exchanging blows, and at this point, they had abandoned all party tricks and flashy exchanges and stuck to physical prowess alone.

Jacob remained with a listless expression as he kept teaching Drammond all sorts of fighting techniques but the other young man took it all with grit and determination, even though he writhed in pain from most of it, as Jacob was constantly hitting his pressure points.

Drammond was the most determined person that Jacob had met, any regular human after the last few exchanges would most likely be crippled or rendered invalid by now, but Drammond still fought like a wounded tiger backed against a wall, there was nothing but fervor in his eyes as he parried Jacob’s attacks and countered as though they were on the same level.

A free hand suddenly struck Jacob on the chin, causing a ripple effect in the air, and a loud explosion sound, but the young man’s head did not even move. He instead grabbed Drammond’s head with both hands, and headbutted him so hard that Drammond felt as though his skull had been crushed in that instant.

"Gahhh!" he screamed in pain as he grabbed his head with both of his hands. It felt as though his brain was hitting every single side of his skull.

Without pity, Jacob grabbed the young man’s head again and jumped, striking that same spot with the tip of his knee.

In that moment, Drammond lost consciousness, falling to the floor with a loud thud. Jacob watched him and shook his head silently. He floated down to the ground and looked at the young man. He looked as though he were deep in sleep, but there was a pool of blood oozing out of the center of his skull.

Jacob immediately materialized a healing potion in his grasp and fed it to the young man. His wounds were instantly healed, but he still remained unconscious. Jacob then pulled the young man out of Kalgin and laid him against the wall in the lobby. The healing potion took instant effect but the young man still had to rest for a couple of hours.

"What happened to him?" Uga asked as Jacob placed Drammond on the floor, the brown-haired boy looked as though he were in a deep sleep.

"I guess the battle got too intense for him." Jacob responded, letting out a sigh.

He had decided not to fight anymore for that day as he also needed some rest from the battle. He would continue from the 46th floor the next day.

Jacob had only spent four days in the tower and he was already on the 46th floor, so there was absolutely no need to rush the process at all. Especially since he was luckier than anyone currently in the tower.

"I’m going to my room now, Uga, I require no disturbance until tomorrow." Jacob turned around and a black portal door manifested before him.

"That’s understood, Jacob."
