Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 249: Never Been More Hyped
"Ready whenever you are," Drammond said, without a smile. In that moment, Jacob realized that the young man standing before him had never even smiled once since he met him. He wondered why the man was so serious, considering the fact that he led a very bright life in his respective world.
The pocket dimension that Jacob possessed, called Kalgin, spread infinitely, suggesting that a lot of damage could be done inside it and it would not even be noticeable.
It was also a self-healing space and functioned equally as a storage space. Jacob considered it everything rolled up into one.
"I’m about to take you somewhere. I don’t want you to freak out. You’re gonna see something... some things." Jacob made gestures with his hand that caused Drammond to raise a brow in mild confusion.
"What kind of things are you talking about?" Drammond inquired with a suspicious look on his face. "Don’t tell me you’re storing dead bodies somewhere..."
Jacob could not tell if the young man was serious or if he was suddenly capable of making funny jokes. Nonetheless, he would take him into Kalgin.
"You’ll see when we’re there."
...
With a slight touch on the shoulder of the young brown-eyed man, they were both instantly transported to a space that stretched as far as the eye could see. It was not particularly bright, and neither was it dim. It was moderately lit. There were giant rocks floating in several areas, each one as big as an island on its own. Towards the southern end were a bunch of random materials, one of which was Excalibur, floating in the air with a certain bluish aura enveloping it as if to preserve it.
Drammond looked around, mildly stunned by the change in environment.
"Where the fuck are we?"
"The best way I can explain it is this is my pocket world. It is an alternate dimension that only I have total control over. So, as you can see, I use it to store my equipment, weapons, and other stuff I cannot carry around, like my luggage," Jacob put simply. He did not want the focus of what they were there to do to shift towards Drammond asking long questions about Kalgin.
Just as they were speaking, there was a large gust of wind that coursed through their hair and clothing. A giant green beast flew overhead. It was bigger than anything Drammond had ever seen, and he instantly knew what it was.
A chill ran down his spine as this was the first time he was seeing this magnificent beast. His body froze in place, and his face went pale. After all, who would not be scared of dragons?
The creature circled above them for a while before finally settling down beside Jacob and dropping its snout for him to pet it.
"Ahaha, I missed you too, boy... uh... this is my friend. His name is Raijin." Jacob did his best with an introduction, however awkward it turned out to be.
"Y-You have a d-dragon?!" Drammond exclaimed, his face still pale and his body frozen in place. Most people would have shouted, but Drammond was not someone who displayed emotions like everyone else. His fear was usually also as cautious as his happiness, or his neutral state. He was a very calculated person.
"Don’t worry, he’s harmless. I’ve asked him to give us some space concerning our battle," Jacob responded.
Just as he spoke, the creature screeched loudly, a sound that made Drammond shudder slightly. Raijin spread out its wings, and in less than two seconds, the beast had vanished from their sight. Drammond heaved a sigh of relief and unstiffened his body immediately.
...
"So we can go all out here?" Drammond asked. He had in mind not to use up all of his energy, as it would not allow him to participate in the tower ascension for a while. But now that they stood here, face to face with each other, the young man was also curious.
Why did Jacob want to spar with him? Was this a ploy to train with him and get stronger? Or did Jacob know something that he didn’t? All his questions would definitely be answered once he won and the battle was done and over with.
"What is the point of holding back? I certainly won’t be holding back at all." Jacob smiled knowingly. A black rubber band instantly materialized in his palm, and he tied his hair in a messy ponytail. His eyes flashed with a glint of excitement as he focused his gaze on Drammond.
They had decided to abandon weapons and fight hand-to-hand, as the tower rules also stated, even though they would eventually be bypassed by way of having a benefactor.
"Before we begin, I would like to show you what it is you would be getting into." Drammond exhaled and blinked slowly. His eyes were dull, but his body was brimming with unbridled power.
He turned slowly to face one of those floating, mountain-sized rocks that levitated in the distance. With calm and steady breathing, he raised one foot and kicked hard in the air, in the direction of the boulder.
The kicking technique was new to Jacob. With all his knowledge, he had not seen a way of kicking like that. The kick was executed like a swing from a very large blade. It cut through the air until it arrived at the boulder and instantly snapped the rock into two equal pieces. And it was all as easy as anything he had ever seen.
Jacob smiled from ear to ear. He had finally seen someone with so much power. He was going to enjoy this fight thoroughly.
As soon as he saw the kick, the technique was instantly engraved into his supercharged brain, and he mastered it in a second.
"Now that you have seen the extent of my power, let me know if this is something you still want to engage in," Drammond said with a listless expression. He looked as though he had not even exerted any form of energy at all.
"I have never been more hyped, my friend..."
