Yang Run Tai smiled and pushed the cart, "I’m waiting for Yu Jie and them."

At this moment, the woman outside suddenly appeared at the door.

Jing Chu and Chaoyang didn’t pay attention, but Feifei and the others found the woman strange.

The woman who appeared at the door was a girl from a somewhat influential family in the Capital, and she was deeply attracted to Han Xiangjun.

However, he didn’t pay attention to her at all. So she came over. Who knew she’d hear a woman’s voice in Han Xiangjun’s home.

So she couldn’t hold back and came over to take a look.

Seeing Jing Chu’s appearance dealt her a heavy blow.

Tears fell, no wonder Han Xiangjun didn’t fancy her, he had such a beautiful woman, she really couldn’t compare.

So she turned and ran away. The people at the door were all stunned, what was going on?

Jing Chu squinted and glanced at Chaoyang.

"I don’t know her, really." Chaoyang hurriedly assured.

Feifei chuckled from the side, Chaoyang was behaving like he was trying to hide the obvious.

Jing Chu snorted, she believed Chaoyang.

The group returned inside, Chaoyang eventually locked the door.

"Feifei, what do you want to eat?"

"Porridge."

"Hmm, I know."

Jing Chu knew Feifei’s habits, after all, they had lived together for so long.

Chaoyang went to help Jing Chu with her work. The living room was left with Yang Run Tai and the other two.

Watching the little girl take off her hat and outerwear.

"Feifei, tomorrow we’re going there to see the calligraphy and paintings again."

Jiang Feifei nodded, "Sure, let’s go tomorrow. But let’s go in the afternoon. I’m afraid I won’t want to leave."

"No worries, I’ll come over to pick you up in the morning. I’ll take you out for a vegetarian lunch."

"Vegetarian lunch? There’s still vegetarian meals now?"

"Yes, it’s not far from there."

"Are there still people who eat vegetarian?"

"Perhaps you misunderstand vegetarian meals; they just refrain from killing, but they still eat vegetable oil."

"Oh, I see. I wonder if the brothers want to join us tomorrow?"

"Yu Jie arranged for them to visit a military camp tomorrow. My dad said there’s a gathering there. Do you want to go?"

Jiang Feifei shook her head, she didn’t like it.

"That’s just right, tomorrow it’s just the two of us. We can also give Chaoyang and Jing Chu some time."

Jiang Feifei had no resistance to books and paintings, so she agreed.

Next, the two discussed a book. Their opinions were almost identical, which sparked their interest.

Jiang Feifei felt somewhat captivated and couldn’t stop.

By the time dinner was ready. Han Xiangjun and the others hadn’t returned, so it was the four of them having dinner.

It was just plain millet, red dates, yam porridge, and cabbage tofu.

Feifei didn’t like pickles, soybean paste, or any preserved foods. She only ate seasonal vegetables.

Jiang Xinyu could provide her with such conditions.

"Master Han must have taken them out to eat."

"Brother Chaoyang, I’ll go out tomorrow morning, I reckon the brothers will also be out playing, why don’t you take Sister Jing Chu out for a stroll?"

Before Chaoyang could agree, Jing Chu refused, "I’m not going out, I hate being watched by others."

The people here make a fuss. Wherever she goes, there are people watching, even if she can accept it, she finds it really annoying.

"Sister Jing Chu, you should come with me tomorrow."

"Feifei, spare me, you’re only comfortable in a pile of books, but I’m not. I’ll just stay at home listening to the radio. Besides, tomorrow is the 30th, we still have dumplings to eat in the evening. I’ll stay home and prepare."

Jiang Feifei didn’t insist anymore, Lv Jingchu’s appearance indeed drew attention, staying in was just fine.

After the four finished eating, Chaoyang went to boil water. After all, the others coming back later would need to wash up, and Feifei had mentioned yesterday she planned to take a bath tonight.

She was still young, with not much to mind, so she apologized to Yang Run Tai and left.

There really wasn’t much time for herself in a day.

Yang Run Tai just sat in the living room reading, "Chaoyang, go tend to your own matters. I can read on my own."

This suited Chaoyang, as sitting idly here was less appealing than spending time with his wife.

Around eight o’clock, Han Xiangjun and the others returned from dinner.

"Brother Yang, tomorrow we’re going to the military camp, are you coming?"

"I know, but Feifei and I will not go; we’re going to read and see the paintings."

Han Xiangjun drank water while listening to Yang Run Tai, then glanced at him.

"Uncle Han, today someone from the Lin Family was lurking around your house, we saw her on our way back, she likely ran off after seeing Jing Chu."

Han Xiangjun frowned but just nodded.

There was truly nothing he could do, he disliked that type of innocent young girl. But who knew what nerve she hit wrong to chase him, he shouldn’t have any connections with her, should he?

The three siblings bid farewell and left. The two younger ones didn’t want to go but they also wanted to spend time with their parents. The family already agreed for them to head to the Northeast. All things considered, they only had about two months left at home.

After Han Xiangjun washed up, he knocked on Feifei’s room door.

"Come in. Uncle Han, someone came looking for you today."

"Yes, He Run mentioned it. She’s not important."

Jiang Feifei nodded; it was his business, no need for her to comment.

"Feifei, how was today?"

"Not bad, that shop is Yang Run Tai’s, right?"

"Yes, it is. Why?"

"I bought over fifty books today, and it only cost a little over a thousand."

"The price is not high, probably the right amount."

Jiang Feifei nodded, understanding.

"He said he’d give me some paintings tomorrow. I want to buy some."

"I’ll give you money tomorrow morning."

"Uncle Han, I have some, my mom gave me ten thousand before I left, in case I found something I liked."

"I’ll give you another ten thousand tomorrow. No worries, buy whatever you fancy, and if Yang Run Tai lets you, just pretend not to know."

"Tomorrow will be the last time. There’s a limit to taking advantage, it shouldn’t be endless."

Han Xiangjun liked this little girl’s wisdom. She’s quite clear-headed.

Nonetheless, the next morning, he still handed Feifei a bag, "It’s fine, if it’s not enough, I’ll come back and settle it for him."

"Okay, I understand."

"Feifei, shall I accompany you? They’ll go directly to the military camp by car."

"No need, I can manage on my own, won’t be going anywhere, will return after lunch."

The two parties set off separately. The morning was still quite cold. But sitting in the back, with something to block the wind, Feifei didn’t feel too cold.

Once again, it was the same beautiful lady from yesterday, who first took them to wash hands and drink tea.

However, this was quite nice. They warmed up before proceeding.

"Little sister, have a taste of these; the snacks that came yesterday are very good."

"Thank you, pretty sister, but I don’t really enjoy sweets or snacks."
