"Hmm, can I say I don't want to go?"

"Why is that?" Yang Run Tai held back his laughter.

His mom liked Feifei too much, and once she was home, she'd hold onto her and never let go.

"Alright then, my mom would be very disappointed."

Jiang Feifei smirked a bit, thinking to herself that she really didn't want to go to the Yang Family; she felt like the Yang Family members were somewhat abnormal.

Although the man of the house appeared serious, chat with him enough, and you'd realize he wasn't reliable; the lady of the house even more so, perhaps with some mental issues.

This Yang Run Tai might look refined, but he's actually a black-hearted rice ball. It's better to have less contact with people like him, especially while she's young and there are no interests at stake.

No worries now, but better to have less contact as she grows older; she could end up counting money for them after being sold.

The remaining two seemed okay for now; though a bit self-centered, interacting with them wasn't difficult.

Still she'd rather not get too deeply involved with them; they don't know how to refuse. They'll refuse others, but won't accept rejection from others.

As Jiang Feifei's thoughts ran wild, they arrived at a residential area.

Though not conspicuous, Feifei could tell it was a sign of low-key wealth.

They went directly inside, greeted by a beautiful sister. Despite wearing plain clothes, she exuded a different aura.

"Welcome!"

"Take us to see the paintings and books, we want to see the high-end ones."

"Sure, please come in."

Jiang Feifei followed into a room triple the size of a regular chamber.

Three walls were lined with bookshelves fully stacked with books.

Yang Run Tai was doing this to please the little girl; these were his personal collection.

Jiang Feifei was instantly captivated upon entry; she could see nothing else, only the books.

"Feifei, take your time looking."

Jiang Feifei nodded unconsciously, her eyes glued to the books.

Yang Run Tai watched her movements thinking he had made the right decision, then gestured, leaving just the two of them in the room.

He sat watching the little girl as she began scanning one side.

Whenever something caught her interest, she'd pull it out for a closer look.

"Brother Yang, how do you sell these?"

"Put whatever you like aside, once you've finished choosing, someone will come and tell you."

"Brother Yang, how much can I buy for ten thousand yuan?"

Such generosity, the little girl actually had ten thousand yuan.

"Feifei, feel free to choose. Don't worry about the money, I'll cover the deficit."

"Thank you, Brother Yang. I'll have Han Bo return it to you when we get back."

Now Jiang Feifei was not polite, but since she came in the afternoon, it wasn't until her vision started failing that she stopped, having picked out fifty or sixty books.

But this was only a fifth of one side.

Jiang Feifei felt truly regretful. So much she hadn't seen yet.

But knowing where to draw the line, she accepted they weren't meant to be hers.

"Brother Yang, this is it."

"Feifei, you can come again in the future, I'll bring you back."

"Thank you, Brother Yang. My parents taught me not to be too greedy. We'll see if there's another opportunity."

She might not even have enough money for these fifty or sixty books. But she set a mental limit, not more than twenty thousand. Any more would be overwhelming.

Yang Run Tai called out, and earlier the beautiful sister along with a middle-aged man in his fifties came in.

"You both, please have a look; I want to buy these books." Jiang Feifei said politely.

The middle-aged man with glasses smiled. He sat by the desk, examining them one by one.

He was quite surprised, as these were all rare books with significant collection value. Surprised this little girl knew about them.

"Young lady, I've checked these books. These are ones we've collected, and honestly, their price is quite low. We technically only acquire, not sell here.

But today, I'll agree. You only need to pay sixteen hundred yuan for these fifty-eight books."

Jiang Feifei was stunned momentarily, but quickly composed herself.

"Thank you, sir, I'll take them all." She said, pulling out a wad of cash from her bag, counting out sixteen bills and handing them over.

The man counted the money seriously in a no-nonsense manner.

"Young lady, the amount is correct, I'll get the books packed for you."

"Thank you, sir."

Yang Run Tai watched amusedly; he thought she might refuse, but didn't expect her to understand the situation.

He didn't think she was unaware of the value; she must be like him.

Though in his previous life, he'd never met anyone like her. She was definitely not ordinary. If she truly was, how could he not see through it?

This family wasn't even around in his past life. What did their appearance mean?

Jiang Feifei thanked the beautiful sister again.

"Brother Yang, let's head back, it's too late, my family will worry."

"Alright, I'll bring you back tomorrow."

Jiang Feifei shook her head, "Brother Yang, although I like them, I know where to draw the line and won't be too greedy. Let's leave it at that, there are too many good things in this world, they're not all meant for me; others just aren't my fate."

"Feifei, you're overthinking. No need to ask."

Jiang Feifei kept shaking her head.

"Fine, I'll take you to see paintings tomorrow; your money probably won't be enough."

Jiang Feifei just smiled with pursed lips, "I'll buy as much as my money allows, not being able to buy them means they're not my fate."

They were courteously escorted out; this time Jiang Feifei sat in the front, given the back seat held a box of books.

Yang Run Tai rode alongside Feifei, chatting while noticing the red yarn ball on her chest, finding it quite amusing.

He didn't dare test it, fearing the little girl would suspect something, though it did itch his curiosity.

They arrived home, Han Xiangjun and the others hadn't returned, but they saw a woman lingering at the door.

Yang Run Tai laughed where Jiang Feifei could see; trouble awaited Han Xiangjun.

They stopped and knocked on the door.

Chaoyang and Jing Chu had been worried, as the younger siblings weren't back, leaving them both anxious—especially Feifei, who was the master's favorite.

Upon hearing the knock, Chaoyang ran to open the door, seeing Feifei, finally relieved.

"Brother Chaoyang, don't worry about me."

"Kiddo, you're the precious one, of course I'm anxious."

"Sorry, I lost track of time today; it won't happen again."

Chaoyang laughed, picking up Feifei.

The little girl, already 1.3 meters tall, struggled a bit when picked up like this.

Chaoyang knew Feifei didn't like being touched, so he quickly put her down.

Jing Chu came out right then too, holding Feifei's hand.

"Xiao Yang, want to stay for dinner?" Her meaning was quite clear, suggesting he should leave if there's no need.
