Chapter 1392: Chapter 1392: Insurance

"Don’t take everything upon yourself." Sophie Wilson, worried that Charles Seymour might be overthinking, comforted him.

Regarding Sophie Wilson’s suggestion, Charles Seymour listened: "Okay."

As for the slight difference between what Sophie thought and what he thought, Charles Seymour felt there was no need to correct it.

They’re just small matters anyway.

"Still feeling down?" Sophie Wilson looked at Charles Seymour and asked.

"Yeah, a little, but I’ll be fine soon." Charles Seymour hesitated for a moment before nodding.

If he admitted that he was feeling down, would it mean Sophie might comfort him a little longer?

"Then, how about once you sort out your work, we go out for a play?" Sophie Wilson asked with a smile, "By the end of the year, the company will be quite busy. Why not wait until next year..." 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

"It’s not the busy end of the year yet, there isn’t much happening around now." Charles Seymour responded quickly, "I’ve just handed things over to Jim Perry these days, we can leave tomorrow."

"Eh?" Sophie Wilson stared at Charles Seymour in surprise, "Is it okay to just say we’ll leave like that?"

The work at Peace Group is different from her own enterprises, which she never manages, but Peace Group is something Charles Seymour has always handled. Can he really leave so suddenly?

Will the company be okay?

"Chairman Cole mentioned this, so I’ve already arranged everything." Charles Seymour said calmly.

Upon hearing this, Sophie Wilson felt a pang in her heart.

Charles might seem indifferent on the surface, but his sense of responsibility is too strong; he probably reviewed all the check results, understood the outcome, and only then delegated everything.

"Alright then, we’ll leave tomorrow!" Sophie Wilson said with a smile.

"Where do you want to go?" Charles Seymour asked.

"How about going south?" Sophie Wilson, thinking of delicious food, got a bit excited, "I want some char siu."

"Okay." Charles Seymour nodded and made a call to Jim Perry, "I’m heading out with Sophie tomorrow, probably for around a week. I’ve already handed the work over to you; just follow what I’ve arranged. There’s no need to consult me unless there’s something major."

Jim Perry on the other end of the line: "???"

No.

Since when did my boss hand over work to me?

If he’s going to skip work, just skip it, but why put on such a front like he’s already delegated everything? My boss, can you have some shame, please?

Unfortunately, Jim Perry didn’t even have a chance to complain, as the call was already disconnected.

Jim Perry rubbed his face hard, trying to recall why he chose to stay with Charles Seymour in the first place.

Decisions made in youth are indeed impulsive.

"All set?" Sophie Wilson asked.

"Yes." Charles Seymour nodded, speaking confidently, "Just reminded him again, to be safe."

Of course, Sophie Wilson agreed with Charles Seymour’s approach, "Your thinking is thorough."

Luckily, Jim Perry wasn’t there, otherwise he might have showered Charles Seymour with his words.

He’d seen shameless people before, but never anyone this shameless.

"I’ll tell my mom, you talk to Bao." Sophie Wilson instructed Charles Seymour and then went to call Clarissa Taylor.

Charles Seymour called Old Mr. Seymour, "Grandpa, has Bao gone to sleep?"

Old Mr. Seymour, hearing this, felt a tightness in his heart; if there’s something inconveniencing to let Bao know, he should tell him instead.

"Yeah, sleeping. You can tell me." Old Mr. Seymour said, glancing at the nearby room to ensure that his wife was playing with Bao and wouldn’t hear his call, then feeling relieved.
