Chapter 1390: Chapter 1390: In a Bad Mood

Even if the surgery is successful, keeping the patient in bed with that person’s impatience likely means poor recovery.

"Medicines can only control the condition, not cure it," Frederick Cole said helplessly.

"Isn’t that quite normal?" Charles Seymour wondered what Frederick was regretting. If diseases requiring surgery could be cured with just medication, what would be the need for surgery?

Whether it’s medication or infusion, those can only ease and maintain.

It’s conservative treatment.

"You could also look for other doctors; my skills aren’t the best," Charles Seymour said in a deep voice.

He definitely wouldn’t take the surgical stage at this point, as that would be irresponsible to the patient.

A chief surgeon who hasn’t been in an operating room for years, even if all the steps are in his head, unused hands are unused hands.

Rashly performing surgery on a patient would truly be a joke.

No intern surgeon I’ve seen takes the lead in surgery upon arriving at a hospital; they initially familiarize themselves by assisting in the operating room.

Hand feel is very important.

Frederick Cole nodded and said, "I was too reckless."

Charles Seymour, apart from Sophie, wasn’t in the habit of comforting others.

Of course, he could understand Frederick’s thoughts.

Those elders once contributed greatly to the country, and if possible, he would also try to help them.

But given his current situation, there’s absolutely no way he could perform surgery.

Then, it might end up harming rather than helping.

After parting ways with Frederick Cole, Charles Seymour didn’t dwell on the matter. Being a doctor, he didn’t have many fond memories of it.

Since childhood, his mother had recruited excellent teachers to nurture him in medicine.

Being from the Chapman Family, a family of doctors, he secretly learned from the teachers his mother had found for him.

Simultaneously, he had to study business, and of course, all this was done behind Ethan Seymour’s back by his mother.

According to his mother, the child she bore must be the best, combining the strengths of both families.

Back then, he felt he needed to be more excellent to prevent Ethan from finding other women, and so his mother wouldn’t cry every night.

After his mother passed away, he still masochistically studied those things.

Thankfully, he was never short of money, and the teachers his mother privately hired were quite reliable.

There’s no denying his mother planned his future well, prearranging what he should learn at which age to what extent.

But his mother assessed his progress by a genius’s pace.

Those years were tough, but fortunately, he was never short of perseverance, so he persisted in learning.

"Hug!" As Charles Seymour walked through the door, he heard Sophie Wilson’s "command." Without thinking, he opened his arms, and just then, his Sophie jumped into his embrace.

The weight in his arms settled Charles Seymour’s unsettled mind.

Sophie Wilson looked at him and asked, "What’s wrong? Feeling down?"

"Yes." Charles Seymour nodded.

"Then come upstairs and tell me," Sophie said, hugging Charles Seymour’s neck and clinging to him.

The butler, hiding in the kitchen, saw Mr. and Mrs. going upstairs before deciding to step out. As a butler, he certainly knew disturbing Mr. and Mrs.’ romance was a big no-no.
