Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate
Chapter 1389: Refusal
Chapter 1389: Chapter 1389: Refusal
Sophie Wilson and Charles Seymour, those two beasts, ruined the Chapman Family!
Just when Felix Chapman was at a loss, someone approached Charles Seymour.
Charles Seymour looked at Frederick Cole in front of him, furrowing his brow slightly, without speaking.
"The old leader’s condition is quite similar to that person’s, and after much thought, there’s no one else suitable," Frederick Cole said, "Back then, the surgery you performed on that person was exceptionally successful."
The person Frederick Cole mentioned was also a highly respected old leader who had made significant contributions to the country.
If it hadn’t been for Charles Seymour’s intervention, that person would have passed away long ago due to the illness back then.
Now, an old leader has discovered the same illness as that person, so they all thought of Charles Seymour.
"Do you know how long it has been since I left that place?" Charles Seymour asked Frederick Cole.
"For a doctor, it’s not about authority or fame, but about familiarity. Even the most skilled expert may not perform well in surgery he has never encountered before, especially for heart surgery."
Charles Seymour calmly said, "All these years, I haven’t touched a scalpel."
"But wasn’t Sophie’s issue resolved?" Frederick Cole asked, holding onto a last shred of hope.
"Sophie’s problem didn’t necessarily require surgery to resolve," Charles Seymour said solemnly, his mood becoming heavy every time Sophie’s health issue was mentioned.
This lifetime he was lucky, obtaining the almost successful research results from his past life through Sophie.
Even if he succeeded in this lifetime, he could imagine how disappointed he must have been in his past life.
Clearly, with just a little more time, he would have succeeded, but Sophie’s body couldn’t hold up any longer.
Injected with various drugs by illegal companies leading to Sophie’s heart failure, he could only gamble with life to keep Sophie alive.
After rebirth, Sophie spoke indifferently about what happened after she survived, but with his understanding of Sophie, he knew how miserable it was for her to live alone in those remaining decades.
"As long as we find the right method to eliminate the residual drugs in Sophie’s body, she can get better," Charles Seymour calmly told Frederick Cole, avoiding the crucial issue.
"Moreover, the patient’s condition does not necessarily require surgery," Charles Seymour said, while gesturing to the medical records in his hand.
He had read the patient’s examination report completely and analyzed it carefully.
"The patient is elderly, and heart surgery is not suitable; the patient’s physical condition is not good. Besides, the illness has not reached the point where surgery is necessary."
"Rest is better for him. As long as his emotions remain relatively stable on a daily basis, that’s all that’s needed."
Frederick Cole listened to Charles Seymour and shook his head helplessly: "You don’t know the old leader’s fiery temper. Back when he was in training camp, he charged through the storms with pure momentum."
"Asking him to change his temperament is really too difficult."
This temper, honed over decades, is not something that can be changed easily.
"You can advise him, for the sake of his family, he must stay calm. Otherwise, should he undergo surgery, the outcome is uncertain. Even if he pulls through with pure willpower, it’s very likely his health will be weaker than now."
"That kind of outcome is worse than not having the surgery at all," this was Charles Seymour’s conclusion after careful consideration.
Frederick Cole had to admit that Charles Seymour’s advice was very spot-on.
