Chapter 1379: Daddy Treats You Well
Chapter 1379: Chapter 1379: Daddy Treats You Well
"Impressive!" Sophie Wilson mock-scolded, "Lucy, quickly take your man away, it’s so embarrassing!"
"Lucy, I’ve been rejected," Kai Bright said pitifully, leaning against Lucy Wells for comfort.
This action made Sophie Wilson shudder with goosebumps, waving her hand dismissively, "Lucy, hurry up and take him away!"
Lucy Wells laughed and pulled the ever-playful Kai Bright away.
Once they left, the joking smile on Sophie Wilson’s face turned into contentment, it seemed Lucy was genuinely happy with her brother.
Back in the day, Lucy never laughed so loudly.
Being somewhat introverted, Lucy was a perfect match for her brother.
Sophie Wilson chuckled, then turned to glance outside the door. A familiar car had just driven up, and she quickly walked over, just in time to see the car park in the spot, and the driver’s door opened as Jerry Taylor stepped out.
Then, he walked to the passenger side, opened the door, and held onto the door to help the lady inside out.
Sophie Wilson’s smile deepened as she walked over, calling out, "Uncle, Aunt!"
Hearing Sophie Wilson’s greeting naturally pleased Jerry Taylor, but Emma Wells felt a bit embarrassed. However, at her age, she wasn’t like a young person who couldn’t let go, she responded with a hint of bashful shyness.
"Uncle and Aunt, let’s go inside," Sophie Wilson smiled as she led the way, catching the interaction between Emma Wells and Jerry Taylor from the corner of her eye.
She always thought her uncle was very ascetic, but when he met his other half, he was just like any other person in love.
Hmm, she felt her personality was a bit like her uncle’s; after all, her mom wasn’t as shameless as she was.
Her uncle went as far as to live across the street to pursue her aunt, spending every day together, constantly creating opportunities, and back then, her aunt had a vague fondness for her uncle, along with having a daughter like Lucy.
Her uncle was definitely shameless.
Sophie Wilson silently marveled in her heart, though she dared not say it aloud.
Regarding her uncle, who was outwardly aloof yet had hidden his identity for so many decades, she still had some caution.
She disliked "sparring" with people with hidden depths; anything that wasted her brainpower was not her style.
She just wanted to lazily be a couch potato.
Once inside the private room, the atmosphere was lively with family members who all knew each other, sharing laughter and conversation.
Sophie Wilson picked up some fish, carefully removing all the small soft bones, then fed a piece to Bao’er, asking with a smile, "Is it good?"
"Mm-hmm." Bao’er chewed with puffed cheeks, smiling so her eyes bent into crescent moons.
Charles Seymour silently closed his mouth, turning to serve himself some food.
Julian Campbell happened to see this scene, shifting his gaze and pretending not to notice as he looked down to eat.
Old Mr. Seymour observed Julian Campbell’s reaction, nodding in satisfaction, feeling the young man was making progress.
"Do you want some shrimp?" Sophie Wilson asked Bao’er.
Bao’er nodded repeatedly, her big, bright eyes shining.
Sophie Wilson laughingly placed a shrimp in her own bowl, only to have Charles Seymour snatch it away, saying, "You eat, I’ll peel it for him."
"See, what a good dad you have," Sophie Wilson laughed, rubbing Bao’er’s head.
