Chapter 1359: Chapter 1359: Bottom Line

"Boss, should I ask them to change someone?" the Dean said, "They’ve had so many patients before, surely they can..."

Sophie Wilson waved her hand with a smile, "No worries. I have my own arrangements for this."

The Dean looked at Sophie, surprised, uncertain how the boss planned to arrange it.

"Have you brought everything I asked you to bring?" Sophie asked.

"It’s all here, and they have it," the Dean quickly replied, having called quite a few people over to help.

"Alright then," Sophie said with a smile, "Let’s go in and take a look."

Inside, people were freely mingling as if it were a cocktail party, chatting with familiar doctors.

Sophie was completely uninterested in their conversations. She wasn’t a doctor, and listening to them felt like listening to gibberish.

Forget about what diseases they were discussing; she couldn’t even make sense of the parts in her own body.

She decided not to join them.

"Sophie! You’re here," Henry Chapman had been watching the entrance and quickly came over when he saw Sophie.

Sophie smiled and nodded at Henry, "A conference, right? I got an invitation, so as the boss, of course I’m here to check things out."

The word ’boss’ was particularly irritating to Henry.

A hospital having a boss? It was a complete mockery of the medical profession!

"Sophie, what’s your hospital’s doctor going to talk about later?" Henry asked with a forced smile, "Teaching people how to job-hop?"

"Hmm, that’s actually a pretty good topic." Sophie nodded seriously after hearing it, then asked with a smile, "Why, are you interested in job-hopping too?"

"Who’s thinking about job-hopping?" Henry’s face turned blue with anger, "Sophie, how can you be so shameless?"

"I was being sarcastic. Didn’t you catch that?" Henry realized Sophie was playing dumb.

Since she was pretending, he decided to expose her and see what she’d do then.

"Of course I did," Sophie spread her hands, smiling lightly, "But, I don’t usually argue with patients."

Henry’s expression dramatically changed.

"Even though I’m not a doctor, I still have a bit of personal decency," Sophie said with a smile, sincerely looking at Henry, "Sir, your family runs a hospital, don’t hold back, go get yourself checked."

"Sophie!" Henry suddenly yelled, his voice was so abrupt that the noisy venue quieted instantly, drawing everyone’s attention.

"Shouting in public like this is really unethical," Sophie earnestly advised Henry, "But then, I don’t blame you; I guess your family never taught you that."

Sophie’s words nearly made the Dean beside her burst out laughing.

The boss was implying Henry had no manners.

In one sentence, she insulted the entire Chapman Family.

"Sophie, I’m not going to argue with you here. Doctors don’t rely on glib talk. If you have any real skills, impress your peers later," Henry said, his face pale with anger, then turned and walked away.

Sophie watched Henry’s retreating figure speechlessly and asked the Dean beside her, "Are people so touchy nowadays? Can’t even handle a bit of truth?"

The Dean, naturally siding with Sophie, sighed lightly and said, "Some people might just be unwilling to face reality."
