Chapter 1358: Chapter 1358: Insufficient Preparation

"I just feel my husband is truly virtuous," Sophie Wilson sighed.

Charles Seymour smiled and said, "I can be even more virtuous..."

"Huh?" Sophie blinked in surprise; somehow, she felt the smile in her husband’s eyes was a bit off.

Sophie lay on the bed, biting the quilt, suppressing her moans that almost escaped her mouth.

"Feeling good?" Charles asked, slightly breathless.

"Uh..." Sophie managed to say one word when she suddenly found her voice involuntarily rising, startling her into quickly biting the quilt again, blocking the rest of the sound.

Charles’ lips curved slightly as he continued exerting force.

"That’s enough!" Sophie detected Charles’ movements and quickly warned him, holding her breath. Then, as he continued, she couldn’t help but let out a comfortable sigh, "Uh..."

Charles explained earnestly, "You have to use force to loosen up the stiff muscles. You’ve been walking all day; without this massage, how are you going to attend the conference tomorrow?"

"I’m not that fragile," Sophie retorted quickly during the pause in Charles’ movements, and then swiftly bit the quilt again after speaking.

"Massaging makes it more relaxing," Charles continued, wanting to be a virtuous husband.

Finally, when Charles finished the massage, Sophie was already comfortably asleep.

Charles shook his head, amused, and tucked her in snugly for a good rest.

The next day, Sophie slept until eight, while her husband had already gone to work. Their daughter was sent to Sophie’s mom, leaving Sophie with nothing to worry about.

After getting up and freshening herself, having breakfast, she headed to the conference.

Most of the attendees had already arrived at the conference. On arrival, Sophie called the Dean and finally located their group.

"Quite a number of people here," Sophie remarked, observing the situation in the venue.

"Indeed," the Dean nodded, "Everyone will freely exchange ideas this morning, some cases will be presented later, and in the afternoon, there will be seminars. People can choose what they want to listen to."

"Seminars huh?" Sophie pondered, asking, "Is there an introduction beforehand?"

The Dean nodded, "Yes, it’s right here."

With that, he handed a brochure to Sophie. She flipped through it a couple of times and got dizzy.

She couldn’t understand any of it; she wasn’t a doctor and had no clue about any of this.

"They’re surely going to use the case presentations to promote their techniques, right?" Sophie asked the Dean.

The Dean nodded, "That’s right, it’s like that."

"We’ve arranged experts, boss, don’t worry," the Dean’s words made Sophie shake her head, "I’m worried someone might stir up trouble."

The Dean was momentarily stunned, confused, and looked at Sophie.

Sophie smiled and said, "Our hospital hasn’t had any special cases since it opened, right? The examples we can present are probably all older ones."

The Dean understood what Sophie meant and his face changed drastically, "I wasn’t well-prepared."

Using old examples is actually not inappropriate.

But normally, that’s for a regular conference, whereas this conference is clearly aimed at their hospital.

There would definitely be a lot of people looking for trouble.
