Chapter 1357: Chapter 1357: Biological

A lot of the attractions had age and height limits; letting Sophie go on them now would be putting him in danger.

Sophie whined and tugged at Charles Seymour’s sleeve with his little hand. "Mommy’s up there by herself."

"You’re worried?" Charles asked.

"Mm." Sophie nodded hard, so clearly, he wanted to go up and play too.

That little car was going so fast, it looked so fun.

"I’ll go keep Mommy company," Charles said. "I’ll hand you over to the uncle next to you."

Sophie’s excited expression instantly collapsed; his sulky little face turned to the side. Bad Daddy, not letting him play with Mommy, and even wanting to run off to play with Mommy by himself.

Bad Daddy!

Luckily, Sophie Wilson just played once and came down. Her cheeks were flushed with excitement. "That was amazing! Super thrilling!"

Mm, next time when Sophie’s with his mom, she was definitely coming back to play again.

For now, better take the kid over to the parent–child playground to play.

"Come here, Sophie, Mommy will hold you." Sophie Wilson reached out to take Sophie.

Who knew the little guy would twist his body, wrap his arms straight around Charles Seymour’s neck, and dodge Sophie Wilson’s arms.

Sophie’s move left both Sophie Wilson and Charles Seymour stunned. What was up with Sophie?

"Not bad," Sophie Wilson laughed, patting Charles Seymour’s arm. "Sophie’s closer to you, huh."

Charles still felt it wasn’t that simple. This little guy had always been glued to Sophie; this move was way too out of character.

"Closer to Mommy," Sophie immediately turned his head when he heard Sophie Wilson’s words, rushing to refute her.

Mommy was wrong!

"You’re closer to Mommy, but you won’t let Mommy hold you?" Sophie Wilson asked, amused.

Sophie piped up crisply, "It’s tiring to carry me. Daddy will carry."

The moment Sophie said that, Sophie Wilson froze for a second, then burst out laughing.

"Oh wow, my son’s this considerate of Mommy?" Sophie Wilson laughed till tears almost came out, reaching out to stroke Sophie’s little face. He was just too sweet.

"But if you say it like that, Daddy will be sad, you know." Sophie Wilson still had some principles; she couldn’t just ignore the father–son relationship.

Sophie said in a soft, serious voice, "Daddy’s strong. Daddy’s awesome. Daddy doesn’t get tired."

Sophie Wilson really couldn’t hold it back anymore; she laughed like crazy.

Oh my, her little Sophie was amazing.

He could flatter people at the drop of a hat, and he did it in a way that Mr. Seymour had no way to argue.

Men always care about saving face.

Was Mr. Seymour supposed to tell Sophie he wasn’t awesome, that he couldn’t handle it?

Holding this precious little bundle in his arms, Charles Seymour was honestly both amused and exasperated.

No need to do a DNA test—just from this impish, clever streak, this was definitely his and Sophie’s child.

Seeing Mommy laugh so happily, Sophie also started giggling along.

Watching his wife and child laugh together, Charles’s eyes were filled with warm affection too.

The three of them had a blast playing all day, and by the time they got home that evening, Sophie was totally wiped out.

He fell asleep in the car.

Charles carried him upstairs, gave him a quick wash, changed him into pajamas; the little guy somehow stayed asleep the entire time.

When Charles finished and turned around, he saw Sophie Wilson leaning against the doorframe, gazing at him with soft, loving eyes.

Charles didn’t say anything. He silently left Sophie’s room, closed the door, and, once he was sure they wouldn’t wake Sophie, asked, "What is it?"
