Chapter 209: Trial Realm

As he read the notification, William’s vision was plunged into absolute darkness, and he felt as if he was thrown inside a rapidly spinning vortex.

"Fuck." He couldn’t help but curse as he tried to regain control of his body but failed miserably.

His hands thrashed in the darkness, trying to grab something to stop himself from spinning, but there was nothing that he could hold.

In just a few seconds, despite having extremely high mental power and a strong physical body, William felt his consciousness turning blurry, and a wave of weakness engulfed him.

At the same time, green hair slowly began to grow on him, and his body showed signs of deformation.

"William! William!" Eva’s loud shouts reached William’s ears as she tried to wake him up.

Despite feeling sharp pain throughout his body, William quickly opened his eyes and jumped to his feet, looking at his surroundings warily.

And as he looked around, his eyes could not help but widen slightly.

"What kind of place is this?" He muttered in a low voice, looking at the desolate land around him.

Everything around him screamed of desolation. The rocky, brown colored ground was filled with cracks, as if it hadn’t drunk water for hundreds of years.

There were rocks covered in dust, eroded by harsh winds. Withered trees could be seen everywhere, and the sky was light brown in color, as if the atmosphere was filled with grains of sand.

What stunned William even more was that he couldn’t sense a shred of Aether Energy in his surroundings.

William had visited many Realms in the original timeline, and some of them had very low concentrations of Aether Energy.

But regardless of what kind of Realm he had visited, one thing that he found in common among them was that every Realm possessed Aether Energy.

Even if it was very low, Aether Energy was present everywhere.

But here, William couldn’t sense the presence of Aether Energy at all.

"Just what kind of place was I thrown into? More importantly, why the hell was I sent here?"

As he spoke, William once again looked at the notifications he had received earlier.

He was still unclear about this symbol and only knew it was related to the supreme figure he had seen once.

And considering the strength that guy had shown him at that time, he felt it was quite possible for someone like him to be related to things like Taboos.

William looked at the last notification, and after looking at the words Trial Realm, he took a deep breath.

He remembered that it was originally Taboo Realm, but it somehow changed into Trial Realm as the symbol on his hand glowed.

"I don’t know what kind of place this is, but it at least sounds better than Taboo Realm," William muttered and was about to move around when suddenly, a few more notifications flashed before his eyes.
