Chapter 1608: Thank You for Your Concern

  • Next Chapter

After dinner, Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher left home with Anthony, driven by Finn who took the three of them to the Taylor Family.

More than an hour later, the car stopped at the villa’s entrance.

Before coming, Anthony had already called Frederick Taylor, and both Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were at home waiting for the guests to arrive.

"Mr. Taylor! Mrs. Taylor!"

At the company, Alice Turner felt it was not appropriate to call the boss and his wife like that at home, but she was also hesitant to call them uncle and aunt, so she decided to address them as Mr. and Mrs. upon entering.

Seeing Alice Turner greeting them, Thomas Fisher quickly followed suit, "Mr. Taylor! Mrs. Taylor!"

The two greeting wore polite and courteous smiles, and the two being greeted responded warmly, inviting them to sit on the sofa.

Frederick Taylor was a very strict person, especially when educating Anthony, he was a typical strict father.

Anthony was both fearful and respectful of his strict father, and when facing him, he was particularly well-mannered and spoke very little.

Alice Turner was aware of this situation, but Thomas Fisher was not. Seeing Anthony suddenly change as if he were a different person, he was quite puzzled inside, but he did not show his puzzlement outwardly.

"Alice! Is this your fiancé, Mr. Fisher?" Frederick suddenly spoke, pointing at Thomas Fisher and asking Alice Turner.

Alice nodded, "Yes, he’s my fiancé Thomas Fisher, you can call him Thomas."

Being addressed as Mr. by an elder, she felt it was a bit inappropriate.

"Alice is right, Mr. Taylor, just call me Thomas." Thomas Fisher chimed in beside her.

Hearing the two of them echo each other, Frederick suddenly laughed, "Since you don’t want me to call you Mr., then you both shouldn’t call me Mr. anymore, can you call me Uncle?"

It’s truly surprising when a strict person suddenly laughs, even though his smile was bright, it still made people feel that after the smile there would be strictness.

"Of course, Uncle Taylor!"

Alice Turner and Anthony both found Frederick’s smile surprising, but Thomas Fisher did not think so; he felt Frederick’s smile was sincere and friendly.

Seeing Thomas Fisher call him uncle, Alice Turner dared not be careless, quickly letting go of her sense of eeriness, and she smiled, "Uncle Taylor."

"You both called him uncle, shouldn’t you also call me aunt?" Ava, who felt ignored, suddenly spoke to assert her presence.

Ava had a personality completely opposite to Frederick’s; he was a strict father, while she was a gentle and virtuous good mother, especially gentle and looking very graceful and soft, almost seeming like a little woman.

Ava spoke in a gentle and soft voice, making one feel the urge to protect her just by hearing her speak.

"Hello, Aunt!"

"Hello, Aunt!"

Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher both simultaneously looked at Ava and greeted her in unison.

"Hello to you both."

Seeing them greet her, Ava was delighted, her beautiful face suddenly lit up with a blooming smile, "Thank you both for taking care of Jacob these days, you’ve worked hard."

"Cough!"

Frederick covered his mouth and coughed, a cough that was sudden, abnormal, and quite fake.

The others did not ignore this, and they all turned their attention to him.

"Honey! What’s wrong? Is your throat inflamed?" Ava shifted closer to Frederick, looking at him with concern over his pretend cough; he can fake it, and so can she.
