Chapter 1609: Differential Treatment

Don’t be fooled by how imposing Frederick Taylor is outside; at home, especially in front of Ava, he changes his demeanor in an instant.

"It’s not inflamed, I just feel a bit thirsty." When Frederick Taylor talks to his wife, his tone and attitude are excessively gentle.

Anthony is inherently a girl, yet dresses very much like a boy, making Alice increasingly puzzled while also feeling especially sympathetic towards him.

"Alice! Thomas! Don’t just sit there; have some fruit." Ava pushed the fruit plate on the coffee table closer to Alice and Thomas, so they could easily reach and eat the fruit.

Alice smiled: "Auntie! No need to fuss; we can help ourselves."

"Mom! Sister Alice has things to discuss with Dad, you shouldn’t..." Before Anthony could finish his sentence, he noticed his father’s cold eyes shooting towards him and immediately fell silent, not daring to speak further.

The not-so-friendly interaction between Frederick and Anthony did not escape Thomas Fisher’s notice. Seeing Anthony so afraid of his father truly surprised him.

Where did that audacious person go?

If he could, he would love to capture this scene on his phone—it would be amusing.

Ava glanced at her aggrieved daughter and secretly pinched Frederick’s arm, yet outwardly remained extremely gentle, "Honey! You talk to Alice and Thomas, Jacob and I have some things to discuss."

"Okay."

Despite being secretly attacked by his wife, Frederick didn’t even flinch, maintaining a calm expression as if nothing had happened.

"Jacob! Come with Mom for a moment, Mom has something to say." Ava stood up and waved at Anthony, indicating for him to follow her out of the living room as she indeed had something to tell her daughter.

Anthony looked at Alice and Thomas, then cast another glance at his father. Hesitating, he stood up and followed his mother out of the living room and into his parents’ bedroom.
