Chapter 1503: I Plan to Pursue Her

Benjamin Shaw said his piece and, without caring about Alexander Shaw’s reaction, turned around and continued walking toward the elevator. This time, his strides were large and determined.

"What do you mean?"

Alexander Shaw slammed the car door and chased after him with long strides, but even though his steps were quick, he couldn’t keep up.

When he was just a few steps away from the elevator, Benjamin had already entered and closed the elevator door behind him, heading upstairs without waiting.

Watching the numbers in the elevator rise, Alexander was so furious he wanted to kick the elevator door open, but in the end, he couldn’t lift his foot to do it.

He wasn’t in his twenties anymore, doing something like that would certainly invite gossip.

His good image in the company couldn’t be destroyed because of a momentary impulse, or he’d be unable to preserve his reputation.

By the time Alexander took the elevator back up to chase him, Benjamin was already in his office, sitting on the couch, waiting for him to arrive.

"Dad! Sit down first, calm down before we talk." Before Alexander could speak, Benjamin preemptively reminded him.

He knew his father was simmering with anger and filled with questions.

Regardless, he felt his father needed to calm down, or else it would be easy to get heated.

They were in the company; the two of them couldn’t have a fiery discussion, as that could easily lead to an explosion.

Benjamin’s reminder was timely. As Alexander entered and was about to question Benjamin, Benjamin’s reminder prevented him from being overly impulsive.

He took a deep breath, calming his emotions, and then slowly walked over to sit not far from Benjamin.

"Does your mom know that Alice is back?" After sitting down and pausing for a moment, Alexander couldn’t hold back and asked.

Benjamin nodded, "Yes, she and my sister just went to the Turner Family to see Alice."

His mother and sister going to the Turner Family was a major oversight on his part; he had been so preoccupied that he had forgotten about his own mother.

"Your mom and sister went to the Turner Family?"

It wasn’t surprise, but dissatisfaction.

Alexander knew his wife, Isla Lane, very well, and also his daughter, and he didn’t have much confidence in their ability to handle matters.

"I just called them to come back home." Benjamin was equally dissatisfied with his mother and sister going to the Turner Family, feeling more worried than anything else.

His mom and sister had a tendency to speak recklessly, sometimes without boundaries.

Hearing this, Alexander finally pieced things together, and he thoroughly understood why Isla Lane was in such a hurry to call him home.

"What are you planning to do about Alice?"

Realizing what had happened at home, Alexander decided not to rush back but instead chose to sit and have a good talk with Benjamin.

Benjamin tilted his head slightly to look at Alexander, his expression darkening, "I plan to pursue her."

His voice wasn’t loud, but his tone and attitude were particularly firm.

"What does Alice mean by all this?"

After Alice Turner left five years ago, Alexander only later found out about her entanglements with Benjamin and Thomas Fisher. It was then he realized Benjamin’s feelings for her.

Both Benjamin Shaw and Thomas Fisher had fallen for Alice Turner, but Alexander was most aware that Alice Turner was the pivotal individual in this matter.

The decision would ultimately be hers, as it was up to her whom she would give her heart to.
