"I know that it is too much to ask at this point, but won’t you lend us your strength? With your support, I am sure we can survive. So just this once—"

"Hey, don’t get us involved in your world’s trouble. We still need to find a way to get back to our world. I don’t know about you, but I have a ton of responsibility waiting for me there."

Lyra pointed out without missing a beat, and she was not the only one who had left her people behind.

Seraphina and Leon had an equally important duty to lead their people. But unlike Lyra, whose authority could not be passed on as long as she was here, the other two were freer.

The refusal stung Officer Tyson, but he knew that he could not do anything about it. He was the one asking for help, so he was at a disadvantage.

Still, he could not allow these people to slip from his hands. They were the only ones who could help him out at the moment.

"I will do what you want me to. Heck, if you want me to beg, then I will beg as much as you want me to. So please, just help me out this once."

He pleaded with everything he had, and the group in front of him exchanged glances with one another. Most of them wanted nothing to do with him or this world. But there was only one person who thought about this rationally.

Kael let out a sigh and gave Officer Tyson a smile.

"Well, we will be helping you out whether we want to or not. The only way to open a way back to our old world is if we collect all the cores of the god and force the door open. Until then, we are stuck here as well."

Kael pointed out, and Officer Tyson let out a relieved sigh. He looked genuinely worried that Kael would decide not to help him now.

"This is good. I will go and inform the others that we have a little bit of help from you. This will help us feel better. We are also going to establish a proper centre for awakened people to help manage them."

Officer Tyson seemed to have a plan in mind, and once he relaxed, he was able to express it even better. Kael decided to hear him out and point out a few flaws along the way. The planning was going well, and Kael was even able to give more advice.

By the end of the day, they actually had a solid plan that could be used to convince the people and the higher-ups to help them out.

...

"Hey, are you sure we should be helping these people? I know this is to allow us to go home and all, but this is not our world—"

Lyra pointed out before she realised that she was the one who had interfered in this world first. Because of this, she even lost any right to say anything and had to sit quietly back.

Ultimately, it was Leon who made Kael feel better about his decision when everyone else looked torn.

"I will have to agree with Kael here. I went with him to the dungeon, so I have an idea of what he could have discovered. Moreover, if the god of this world is truly dead, then we won’t be able to tear the fabric of space so easily."

He hesitated to mention that the only reason they had been able to tear the fabric was because of Goddess Aria and her interference with the corruption. Without her influence and help, it would be impossible to do this again.

"What an annoyance. So, what are we supposed to do now? Wait to get lucky?"

Lyra complained, but she already knew the answer. She was just being difficult for the sake of being difficult.

"Well, it is up to you to decide what you want to do now. I will follow what Kael wants to do. Kael, do you wish to return to our world?"

Leon asked, and this was not a question Kael had expected to hear from him.

Honestly, he was not sure if he wanted to return to their world or not. He did not miss the old world and, moreover, he preferred this modern one since it had much more conveniences.

Kael also did not have anything he missed in the old world except his magic, but he already had his magic in this world.

But he was well aware that it was not the case with the others. He was the only one who was feeling this way.

His silence must have been enough of an answer because no one else said anything. They simply looked at him like they were feeling sorry for him and did not know how to react to him.

"Well, we can talk about this later. Whether we decide to stay in this world or leave this world, it is clear that we need to deal with the dungeons first. And we should get started on dinner as well."

Iris pointed out, and it was Seraphina’s cue to stand up and get started on dinner.

Since there was no magic to help them cook dinner, someone had to take the initiative. But there was also another problem.

"It looks like we will need to go and get some ingredients to cook dinner with. Seraphina, want to come with me?"

Kael asked, and Seraphina nodded. He could see that the others wanted to come along as well, but Kael wanted them to relax and enjoy their time here. There was no need for them to exhaust themselves.

Especially when there was no telling when a dungeon would open.

"You all should sit back and enjoy being here. Elena, since you have been here, take charge and show them how things work."

Elena flinched at those words, but she quickly nodded and followed his words. With this, Kael felt a little more reassured leaving them all alone.
