Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 637 - 635: Sibling Reunion
Chapter 637: Chapter 635: Sibling Reunion
At these words, the little girl looked out at the night beyond the pavilion before turning back to her father and mother. She asked, "Mommy, is it really true? If I call for him a few times, my brother will come out?"
Seeing the doubt on her face, Celeste Grant smiled. "Yes, you can give it a try," she said. "Maybe if you call out a few times, your brother really will appear."
The little girl waved her small hands happily. "Watch me! I’ll call my brother from right here." As she spoke, she took a deep breath and shouted over the railing, "Brother! Brother! Come out, quick!"
After calling out several times without seeing her brother appear, she couldn’t help but mumble, "Daddy, my brother didn’t come out."
Javier Sinclair raised his gaze slightly, his eyes falling upon his adorable daughter. His expression was gentle, his eyes brimming with affection. "Your brother didn’t come out," he said. "Perhaps he didn’t hear you."
"’He didn’t hear me...’" the little girl grumbled, looking impatient. "’Watch me! I’m going to shout really loud and make my brother come out!’" With that, she took another deep breath, this time using the Sound Transmission Technique. "Brother! Brother! Brother Aaron! Come out, quick! It’s me, your little sister, Ellie!"
"Brother... Brother... I’m Elise Sinclair! I missed you! Love you, mwah! Your little sister is sending you a heart!"
"Brother! Come out!"
"Come out!"
The little girl’s voice blasted out at a high decibel, as if someone had set up a megaphone on the spot. The shout was deafening, instantly startling the nightingales from their rest in the trees by the lake and sending them scattering into the air.
Hearing the ear-splitting noise, Celeste Grant, who was sitting nearby, immediately covered her ears.
"This little devil," Celeste Grant murmured. "My poor ears are paying the price."
She looked at her daughter, smiling and waving her over. "Sweetheart, maybe you should stop shouting for now. Come have some barbecue first. When your brother gets back, he’ll come find you."
The little girl shook her head and said with a perfectly straight face, "No way. One must never give up halfway."
At that, the corner of Celeste Grant’s mouth twitched.
She couldn’t find any fault with that logic; there was no way to refute it. She just smiled and said, "Alright then, go ahead and shout!"
Just as the little girl was preparing to let out another round of shouts, a voice drifted down from the night sky. "Let’s see now, who could be calling for me?"
The voice was deep and strong, laced with a hint of laughter and excitement. Even before she saw him, Celeste Grant immediately recognized it as the voice of her wonderful son.
The little girl clutched the railing with her small hands, her eyes shining as she stared up into the night sky. She began chirping excitedly like a little chick.
"Mommy, it’s my brother!"
"It’s my brother!"
"My brother answered me! It’s my brother!"
She had known since she was little that she had an incredibly handsome brother, one whose Cultivation was profound and powerful. But she had only ever heard about him from others and had only ever seen him in pictures on her phone. She had never seen her brother in person.
But now, she would finally get to meet her brother.
’I’m so happy! When I see my brother, I’m going to give him my favorite little bugs. Then he’ll know that his little sister has always been thinking of him.’
A streak of light, like a shooting star, shot across the distant horizon, flying rapidly in their direction. It grew closer and closer, and in just a moment, a figure appeared in the night sky. As he drew near, they could finally see that it was a young man.
The newcomer was tall and slender, clad in red and white robes. He had broad shoulders and a narrow waist, with long, straight legs visible when he turned. On his feet were a pair of cloud boots. His long, ink-black hair was held back by a single golden ribbon. He looked to be in his early twenties.
His face was young and strikingly handsome, and he radiated an aura of immense Cultivation. Behind him, a crescent moon peeked out from behind the clouds, half-shrouded in the night sky.
The moment she saw the figure in the night sky, the little girl’s eyes lit up. A sound of pure awe escaped her lips. "Wow... is that my brother? He’s so handsome!"
The little girl cupped her face in her hands, her eyes sparkling like little stars. "Oh my gosh! Whose brother is so handsome? He’s mine, he’s mine, all mine! Daddy, Mommy, look! That’s my brother! He’s even more handsome than in the pictures! Wow, wow, wow, Aunt Nerida wasn’t lying! My brother is devastatingly handsome!"
While the little girl was still showering him with praise, the figure gave a wave of his hand and slowly descended from the night sky, landing with breathtaking grace upon the surface of the lake beside the pavilion.
Not a single drop of water touched him as he began to walk across the lake. As his tall, slender figure approached, a layer of ice spread out from him across the entire surface, and with every step he took, intricate ice flowers bloomed beneath his feet. It was an exceptionally beautiful sight.
"So pretty! The lake is blooming with flowers! So many ice flowers! My brother is amazing!"
The little girl’s voice, as clear and bright as a canary’s song, reached Aaron Sinclair’s ears. ’Heh heh heh,’ he thought to himself. ’I knew this entrance would earn my little sister’s undying admiration.’
Aaron Sinclair raised his gaze slightly, looking toward the little girl standing in the pavilion.
A smile touched his lips. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers. In that instant, countless ice flowers and butterflies with unfurled wings rose from the lake, all floating toward the little girl. In the darkness, the ice flowers resembled embroidered silk ribbons, weaving weightlessly around her while the butterflies danced in their midst.
Seeing this, the little girl spun around happily, giggling. "GIGGLE... Heh heh... So pretty! So many little flowers and little butterflies!" She held out her hand, and a butterfly landed on her fingertip.
This was Aaron Sinclair, using a High-level Technique to conjure butterflies and poppies just to make his little sister happy.
The little girl was indeed delighted. Watching the figure on the lake, she waved and called out to him.
"Brother! Brother!"
Perhaps this was the power of kinship—to feel a deep, heartfelt affection for someone, even if you’ve only just met.
Aaron Sinclair stood upon the surface of the water.
He lifted his head slightly, his gaze falling upon the little girl at the edge of the pavilion, who was waving and calling out to him. This was the sister he had longed to meet. She had big eyes, a chubby little face, and her hair was tied in two small pigtails. Dressed in a little red skirt, she looked as beautiful as a pixie when she smiled.
’My little sister is just too adorable.’
Aaron Sinclair couldn’t wait to hold her. Tapping a foot on the water’s surface, he vaulted across the lake and into the pavilion. He landed with a weightless grace that stirred a faint, cool breeze.
He had finally met the precious little sister he had been longing for, and the first thing he had to do was give her a hug. The kind of hug that had to happen right here, right now.
