Chapter 638: Chapter 636: Little Sister, Come Give Big Brother a Hug
Aaron Sinclair’s gaze fell upon his little sister.
He smiled faintly and held out his hands, his voice gentle. "Sister, come here. Let your big brother give you a hug."
The little girl was also watching him with her bright eyes. When she saw him reach out, she broke into a smile and, without a second thought, threw herself toward him.
"Brother..."
Aaron Sinclair took a step forward and caught the little girl as she leaped at him. He lifted her up and spun her around in the air, his face beaming with undisguised joy. "Haha... I have a little sister! My sister is so cute, all round and chubby like a little bun."
The little girl in his arms giggled. "Giggle... Hehe... Spin me, Brother! Lift me high!"
Aaron Sinclair nodded with a smile.
"Alright, let’s spin."
His sister was only five years old. With her small arms and legs, she looked like a chubby, pale little dumpling. Aaron Sinclair lovingly planted a kiss on her small cheek.
"Sister, did you miss me?"
She nodded slightly.
"Mhm, I missed you. I kept wishing you would hurry up and come home."
The little girl’s innocent voice was like honey poured into Aaron Sinclair’s heart. He hugged her tight, unwilling to let go. Cradling her, he gently pressed his cheek against her forehead. "This is my sister. So beautiful and noble. Her eyes and brows are just like Mother’s. Sister... Sister, I missed you so, so much."
The little girl wrapped her arms around his neck. "I missed you too, Brother."
"Really? How much?"
"Lots and lots."
"Hahaha... Same here, little one. Have you been listening to Mother?"
"I’ve been good. I’m a good girl."
"Oh, really? Our Ellie is so well-behaved. I heard you calling for me from far away. The moment I heard you call ’Brother Aaron,’ I knew it had to be my sister. I came looking for you right away. And what do you know? I was right. It really was my sweet girl calling for her brother."
The little girl looked a bit embarrassed. She scratched her head and said in a low voice, "Mother said if I called for you a few times, you would come out, so I did. I thought she might be tricking me, but you really came out!"
Aaron Sinclair chuckled. "Mhm, my sister is amazing. You brought your brother out with just a shout."
At that moment, the siblings were finally reunited.
After exchanging a few more words with his sister, Aaron Sinclair finally turned his gaze toward his parents in the pavilion.
’He glanced at his father, then at his mother. In that moment, he suddenly felt that there was nothing in the world happier than a family reunion.’
Thinking this, Aaron Sinclair smiled faintly and said softly, "Father, Mother, your son is home."
’Seeing them again, Aaron Sinclair felt how quickly time had passed. In the blink of an eye, I’ve grown up. I’m no longer the kid who got chased around by Dad for a spanking.’
Javier Sinclair lifted his gaze slightly, his eyes falling on his son. He nodded. "Yes. It’s good you’re back." They were the simplest of words, yet they held a father’s hope and affection for his son. Wasn’t this what family was all about? *Have you eaten? Are you back? It’s good that you’re back.*
Seeing her son, Celeste Grant stood up. She looked him over and walked toward him, patting his shoulder and nodding repeatedly. "Not bad, not bad. You’re very sturdy."
As she spoke, she reached out and hugged her child. "My son, you’re finally back." The one she had accompanied as he grew up was merely a wisp of his Primordial Spirit; the young man before her was her complete son. "It’s good that you’re back. From now on, our family will never be separated again."
Aaron Sinclair nodded slightly.
"Mhm, Mother. We’ll never be separated again."
The little girl in Aaron Sinclair’s arms clapped her hands. "Never separated, never separated! Our family has to be together. We have Daddy, Mommy, Brother, and me!"
"Hahaha, okay. We’ll listen to my sister."
After the family reunion, Aaron Sinclair carried his sister over to a stone stool and sat down. Seeing all the delicious food spread across the table, he grinned slyly. "Old man, you’re having a barbecue behind my back and didn’t even invite me."
Hearing this, Javier Sinclair chuckled dryly. "Are you even my biological son? Why would I call you if you’re not? You should be grateful if I leave you any leftovers."
A sinister smile tugged at the corners of Aaron Sinclair’s lips. He tapped his chest lightly, his expression dead serious. "I can’t guarantee I’m *your* biological son, but I’m positive I’m Mother’s."
Javier Sinclair’s mouth twitched. He retorted irritably, "You really are my son, alright."
’Seeing the father and son bickering, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh. Whenever those two are together, they can’t resist trading barbs. Her son’s sharp tongue was definitely inherited from his father.’
"You two, give it a rest, will you? Aren’t you afraid your daughter will laugh at you?"
Javier Sinclair spoke up. "My daughter would never laugh at me."
Aaron Sinclair nodded along. "My precious sister is definitely on my side."
Seeing her daddy and brother both looking at her, the little girl gave a clever smile. "I’ll listen to Mommy, hehehe."
"Hahaha, you sly little thing."
The joyous laughter of the family of four filled the entire pavilion.
One was a complete pushover for his daughter, and now there was another who was a pushover for his sister.
Celeste Grant could already imagine how lively their home would be from now on...
That night, it was already very late when they returned to Ashkaron Palace. The family didn’t disturb anyone, so no one knew of Aaron Sinclair’s return. It wasn’t until the next morning, when little Elise Sinclair woke up and smugly boasted to the large goose about her brother.
Only then did Elder Lawson and the others find out that Aaron Sinclair was back.
"Who’s back?"
"I think I heard the Young Master is back. Is it Aaron? That boy is back!"
They had watched Aaron Sinclair grow up, investing a great deal of emotion and experience in him. So, naturally, Elder Lawson and the others were overjoyed to hear of his return. Come to think of it, they hadn’t seen the Young Master in a very long time and wondered if he was doing well.
Elder Lawson and Elder Warren, who were passing by, exchanged a look and turned their gazes in the same direction. A large goose was lying there, sunbathing. On its back lay a little girl, chattering away to it.
’Their little Ellie is so adorable, all round and chubby. Every time they saw her, they just wanted to pinch her little cheeks.’
The two men walked over to the little girl, crouching down to look kindly at the child before them. One of them reached out and stroked her head. "My dear, what are you doing?"
The little girl looked up.
"Grandpa Lawson, I’m talking to the goose. I’m telling him I have a brother now."
Elder Warren, standing beside them, laughed heartily. "Princess Ellie, who was it you said came back just now?"
