Chapter 606: Chapter 604: You’ve Lived Through So Many Chapters, It’s Time to Go Offline

She continued to mutter to herself.

"Even the heavens are on my side. Your precious son, the one you’re so proud of, actually has a sliver of his Primordial Spirit cultivating in Elyndra. As long as I kill his mortal form, his Primordial Spirit will be severely wounded. Even if it doesn’t kill him, he’ll be half-dead."

"Hmph. Once I kill his mortal form, I’ll find your son’s true body and finish him off while his Primordial Spirit is wounded. Celeste Grant, you killed my daughter and reduced me to this. Now, I’m going to make you feel the pain of losing a child."

Just the thought of Celeste Grant made her face turn a furious, blotchy red.

She wanted to find Celeste Grant and avenge her poor daughter. But in the vastness of the Demonic Domain, she never once managed to find her. All she heard were whispers of how Celeste’s life was getting better and better, how she’d even had a little girl. In stark contrast, she herself had spent years being hunted by the denizens of the Demonic Domain, narrowly escaping death multiple times as her Cultivation regressed.

Until a recent incident, when a woman named Nerida had hunted her for three days straight. By then, she had exhausted all her trump cards. Nerida ran her through, and the blow was so severe it cracked her very Primordial Spirit. Just as she was on the verge of perishing, a voice echoed.

"I will save you, but from now on, you will work for me."

After the voice faded, she was pulled into a void rift. When she awoke, she found that not only had her injuries healed, but her Cultivation had also been fully restored.

The one who saved her was a great power from the Cunmere Realm. It was just a shame that he never revealed himself. He only ever appeared as a single crimson eye when he communicated with her. From his voice, however, she could tell he must be an incredibly handsome man.

She lifted her gaze slightly, sensing an aura that was connected by blood to Celeste Grant.

Eve Warren’s expression turned cold. "This is the aura," she said icily. "Just as disgusting as that woman’s."

"That great lord didn’t lie to me. He’s really here."

A vicious glint flashed in her eyes, as if she could already see Celeste Grant’s heartbroken and devastated expression.

That night, lanterns hung all around the courtyard. It was late. The residents of the manor were already asleep, and the vast Warden’s Northern Manor was quiet.

She strode into Aaron Sinclair’s courtyard. Her form passed straight through the door and into his room. Without pausing, Eve Warren walked to the bedside and looked down at the bed. The moment she saw the sleeping child, her eyes filled with venom.

Just as she raised her hand to strike, she found she couldn’t move. She was frozen beside the bed, utterly immobile.

Eve Warren’s eyes widened. Not only was she paralyzed, but she couldn’t even make a sound.

’What’s going on?’ At that moment, a hand clamped down on her shoulder. The force was so immense that she felt the agonizing pain all the way to her Divine Soul, making it tremble.

"Long time no see. What do you think you’re doing?" a voice said from behind her.

’That voice?’ Eve Warren shuddered instinctively.

’It’s her? Celeste Grant.’

Eve Warren’s eyes widened in disbelief. She couldn’t move, so she couldn’t turn to look. All she could do was stand there rigidly, a force imprisoning her body and rendering her immobile.

’No... This is impossible.’

’That woman should be in the Demonic Domain. How could she possibly be here? It must be a trick. It has to be.’ Before she could process it, the person behind her grabbed her by the shoulder, and in the next instant, they both vanished from the room.

After they left, a sleepy Aaron Sinclair groggily opened his eyes. He sat up and looked toward the side of his bed, his gaze sweeping across the room.

He raised a hand and rubbed his head.

"Why do I feel like I just heard Mom’s voice?"

"Was I dreaming? It’s so late now. Dad and Mom must have gone to bed a long time ago. There’s no way they’d be here." With that thought, he rolled onto his side and went back to sleep.

Meanwhile, in another courtyard, Celeste Grant had already set up a Barrier. Now, even if Eve Warren screamed her lungs out, no one would hear a thing.

After dragging the woman to her own courtyard, Celeste Grant flung her to the ground. Eve Warren crashed heavily onto the floor, her hair flying into disarray. The force that had been imprisoning her body vanished.

Now able to move, Eve Warren looked up and saw Celeste Grant’s face. Her eyes went wide, and she pointed a trembling finger at her.

"You... How are you here?"

"Celeste Grant, how can you be here? It’s impossible! This is impossible!"

Seeing the woman’s ghost-white expression, Celeste Grant couldn’t help but laugh. "Oh, my. Don’t be so dramatic! Is seeing me really so strange? It’s not like we haven’t met before. That look on your face, like you’ve seen a ghost, is quite rude, you know."

Javier Sinclair, who was standing beside Celeste Grant, merely gave the woman on the ground a cursory glance before walking over to a stone table and sitting down. With a wave of his hand, a plate of sunflower seeds and peanuts appeared on the table. He casually grabbed a handful and began to snack.

Seeing the two people who should have been impossible to find here, Eve Warren felt like her brain was about to explode. She knew she was no match for them, so with a flicker of her body, she tried to flee.

But just as she took flight, Celeste Grant, still standing in the same spot, reached out and snatched her right out of the air. "Look at you. Why are you running? You’ve come all this way, and you’re leaving before I can even entertain you. What would people say if word got out?"

Caught again.

Eve Warren’s face was grim.

"Celeste Grant, what in the world do you want?"

Celeste Grant laughed.

"Shouldn’t I be the one asking you that? You sneak into my home in the middle of the night, and you have the nerve to ask me what I want. I should be asking you what *you* want, Jocelyn Grant’s mother."

"What were you planning to do to my son, hmm? Did you want to kill him?"

As she spoke, Celeste Grant’s eyes went cold. With a surge of force, she slapped Eve Warren across the face. The blow sent her flying, slamming her hard against the Barrier before she bounced back and crumpled to the ground.

"I’ve been far too easy on you."

Eve Warren was stunned. ’How did she get even stronger?’

"How are you so strong?"

"Because I’m hacking, bitch."

Before she could say another word, Celeste Grant grabbed her and started beating her senseless.

"AHHH... HELP..."

"Stop..."

"Celeste Grant, you’re courting death!"

She threw up her hands to defend herself, her body flying backward to land a short distance away. "You forced my hand." As she spoke, a pair of scissors appeared in her hand. A malevolent aura swirled around them; one look was enough to tell they were no ordinary item.

Celeste Grant glanced at them and couldn’t resist a jab. "Pulling out scissors, are we? What are you, a tailor?"

"Shut up! I’m going to kill you today!"

Eve Warren’s eyes were bloodshot with rage.

"You know, you’re really weak, right?" Celeste Grant let out a dry laugh. In an instant, she closed the distance and seized Eve Warren’s wrist. She snatched the scissors from her grasp and tossed them to Javier Sinclair, who was still watching the show. Then, with a backhand slap, she knocked out Eve Warren’s front teeth.

"AHHH..."

She grabbed the woman by the hair and slammed her head to the ground. "Didn’t I tell you? Don’t touch my son."
