Chapter 271:How Dare You?
Chapter 271: 271:How Dare You?
“What if I don’t?”
His voice was calm, but the pressure behind it was terrifying.
Baltar could not take it anymore. He pulled his sword halfway out of its sheath and screamed.
“I’ve had enough! If you don’t come with us peacefully, then I wi—”
He froze.
Ethan was no longer standing a hundred meters away. His figure just blurred.
It was so fast that he wasn’t able to notice it and now.
He was right in front of him.
Deadly intent crushed down on Baltar like a mountain. Ethan’s eyes were cold and merciless.
“Yes,” Ethan said quietly. “Tell me what you are going to do if I don’t come.”
He leaned closer.
“But before you draw your sword, remember one thing. The moment you unsheathe it, I swear on my honor, regardless of my future fate, you two will be buried in coffins.”
“Right now and right here.”
Baltar ignored the warning and tried to grab his sword to draw it and raised his chin with a hateful look.
But just as he looked up,his entire body seemed to come to standstill.
The moment his eyes met those bluish, ocean like eyes, he felt as if his soul was ripped straight out of his body.
Ethan’s eyes had become just like black hole that would just pull one into without any mercy.
And just like a black hole terrifying pressure dragged him into that gaze, like a black hole swallowing everything around it.
BOOOOOOM!
A massive murderous intent erupted from Ethan and slammed into the surroundings. The air trembled violently and the ground cracked under the invisible weight.
Baltar’s legs shook. His back bent on its own as if something was forcing him down. He almost fell to his knees right there.
Batar didn’t even know what transpired just now.
’Kneel…’
’Me…Baltar…The King Knight is almost made to kneel.’
A deep, dreary fear crawled up his spine.
His heart pounded wildly and his breath became shallow. Cold sweat soaked his armor. Goosebumps erupted all over his skin as an eerie, taboo feeling wrapped around him. It felt wrong. It felt like staring at a beast that should never be angered.
Death felt close.
As if he just came back after touching death.
Every instinct in Baltar screamed danger. His hands trembled uncontrollably as if they no longer belonged to him. His vision blurred for a moment and his ears rang loudly. The pressure made his chest feel tight, as if an unseen hand was squeezing his heart.
Ethan was not joking this time.
He was truly pissed off.
These fuckers did not show up when the fight started. They only appeared when Simon was about to be beaten into the ground. They came to save Simon’s ass when he was on the verge of getting killed.
If this man really pulled his sword, then regardless of the consequences, Ethan would finish him.
“SIRRRR ETHAAAAN STOPPPP!”
Auster shouted loudly, panic clearly visible on his face.
His calm expression twisted and turned ugly as fear took over.
Ethan slowly looked at the two of them. His gaze was sharp and heavy.
“Tell me again?”
His voice was low and dangerous.
“Is it a request or an order?”
“I… It’s a humble request,” Auster spoke quickly and this time he even bowed his head.
Ethan did not look at him.
“Not you,” he said coldly, then pointed at Baltar. “I am asking you.”
Since the day he was born, Baltar had never been humiliated like this.
Anger and shame burned in his chest. His teeth ground together as he struggled to breathe under the pressure. He looked at Auster, who stared back at him with a deadly glare.
After a brief hesitation, and weighing the chaos that would follow, Baltar slowly let go of his sword.
“It’s…”
“KNEEELLL!”
Ethan’s voice thundered.
“Pardon?” Baltar asked, blinking in shock.
“Don’t you know that you have to bow before a noble?”
Ethan stepped closer, and his presence became more suffocating.
“Or do you have a back problem? Mind if I fix it for you?”
Baltar’s face turned pale.Without another word, he immediately bent down and bowed deeply.
“It’s a humble request, sir,” he said through clenched teeth.
“Please accompany us!”
Ethan snorted softly.
“What about him?”
He pointed at Simon’s broken and ragged figure lying in the crater.
“He will be punished for his wrongdoing,” Auster answered quickly.
“Then let’s go!”Ethan said without hesitation dusting his hands off.
’Damn…This feels too good.’
’No wonder the protagonists like aura farming.’
’Its fucking addictive.’
…..
Carrying the dead weight, they quickly flew toward the capital.
As soon as Ethan entered the city, countless eyes fell on him.
Those gazes were mixed with reverence, horror, surprise, and curiosity. Some stared openly, others quickly looked away, afraid of drawing his attention.
Under those gazes, they continued forward until the Capital Palace came into view.
And Ethan had to admit it.
It was humongous.
The size of the palace alone was bigger than the entire Blanks territory. Tall towers pierced the sky and massive walls stretched endlessly in every direction.
With a rough glance, Ethan could sense countless Advanced rank presences. There was not a single knight below Intermediate rank. The air itself felt heavy with trained warriors and suppressed power.
’I might be strong, but in terms of manpower, I don’t stand a chance,’ Ethan thought calmly.
Yes, this was the very reason he chose to step back a little. Otherwise, he would not hesitate to flatten this place.
In politics, you had to know where to draw the line.Doing as you pleased while not going all out against a Sovereign. That was his aim.
They were taken into the inner chambers to the throne room. As they walked deeper, Ethan sensed the presence of a frail man ahead accompanied by several others. The aura was weak but strange, carrying a heavy authority.
As soon as the doors opened, a scream echoed through the hall.
“It’s you!”
A thin figure stood ahead, shaking with anger.
“How dare you threaten my Royal Authority by distrubing my peaceful sleep?”
“????”
Ethan blinked slowly.
Isn’t this guy a bit too rash?
The hall fell silent as everyone waited for Ethan’s response.
