Chapter 1362 - 1359: Holding Back (Part 1)

This familiar feeling is just like the one on Guru Mountain, Kadi doesn't even need to guess; behind this wall, there must be Xiso.

"What are we waiting for!" Kadi asked, already holding the Butterfly Dual Blades tightly in his hands.

"Don't be impulsive, Kadi. I know how you feel right now, but look at these fragments; they were transmitted from the other side, which shows there's something tricky about this wall!" Igor stopped Kadi. This darkness harbors unspeakable secrets, and why Xiso is imprisoned here might be one of them.

Kadi closed his eyes. He couldn't endure seeing his partner suffer such a blow. He felt he had to do something. But Igor's persuasion still calmed him down. Whoever hid Xiso this deeply, and kept extracting those fragments from him, surely had some secrets. So he really couldn't act rashly.

He could imagine how much pain Xiso was enduring behind this wall, and this pain was making him very uncomfortable. He wanted badly to break through this wall and go save Xiso.

"Kadi, we need to calm down. This wall can't be closed. As long as we find the entrance, we can rescue Xiso!"

"In this area, I'm not skilled!" Kadi sat angrily to the side. He needed to calm down, but he couldn't swallow this anger.

"I'm searching; don't worry!" Igor comforted.

"Once this is over, I have to give this Alchemy Workshop a good beating; they're just too despicable!" Kadi said resentfully, his hatred for the Alchemy Workshop running deep, his anger over what's happening was palpable, at the mistreatment Xiso was enduring, even though he hadn't formally seen what that treatment was.

Igor was also very angry inside, but he couldn't let this emotion affect him. He had to find the loophole in this wall, carefully open the wall. The movement of these fragments was all linked to Xiso's safety; he couldn't let Xiso get hurt.

This was very complicated because the wall was entirely solid; it wasn't possible to find a clue just by knocking. Igor tried to sense with Spirit Power, wanting to see if the wall was an illusion created by the World Setting Technique, but he ultimately failed. This wall was solid, from top to bottom, without a mechanism or any illusionary facade.

Igor furrowed his brow. He couldn't waste time here; he had to pick up the pace. There was a clear trail of fragment flow on this wall, like a track transporting the fragments. Forcefully destroying this wall might endanger Xiso—the unknown situation made him cautious. A wall alone couldn't stop him, but Xiso's safety meant he couldn't act blindly.

Igor scratched his head; he needed to find the connection here and decipher the wall's secret!

This was the site of an Alchemy Workshop. Outside was the alchemical array of the Alchemy Workshop. No formations were found inside yet, but there wasn't a single guard here either. This strange phenomenon also indicated a problem, that there must be some other guarding method here. This method was unknown to people, entirely in a state of unfamiliarity.

What exactly was it, Igor thought carefully, but he still didn't understand.

Could it be that the entire experimental site was an unsolvable existence? For Igor, this was not a good thing.

Kadi was angry on the side, but Kadi did not affect Igor, because he knew his emotions couldn't affect others.

Within this darkness, the wall stood tall, like a mountain hard to cross, and Igor and his team were bound by various factors.

More critically, Igor's Spirit Power probing couldn't penetrate this wall.

This was a painful thing, facing a difficult problem without a solution, completely unsure where to start, this kind of situation seemed to be wasting Igor's and their time.

Could it be that this dark place was really deliberately constructed by the Alchemy Workshop to hide the whole secret? Various speculations floated in front of Igor, and he felt he had to use the process of elimination to get rid of them one by one.

At this moment, Igor really wished Kadi would chime in with a few words, even if unrelated, because every time he was at a loss, Kadi somehow gave him inspiration. Such inspiration sometimes played an unusual role, but now, everything was blank, as Kadi held back his emotions standing beside him, clearly not about to disturb him any time soon.

"Is it really unsolvable?" Igor murmured to himself. He really couldn't think of a good solution right now. Throughout this process, he felt he had racked his brains, yet no good solution emerged.

Kadi naturally heard this and was puzzled why even Igor was at a loss. In the past, Igor always found a way, but now, what was happening?

"Igor, what's wrong?" Kadi felt that he wouldn't manage if he didn't speak up because he noticed Igor's will was slowly sinking.

"I, I can't find..." Igor clutched his head and said to Kadi.

"This...is this wall something that fell from the sky? How could there be no clue revealed at all!" Kadi exclaimed in curiosity, speaking offhandedly.

Unexpectedly, Kadi's casual remark suddenly enlightened Igor.

In an instant, Igor's eyes lit up, the dull expression on his face gradually vanished, replaced with relief, which slowly turned into excitement. In a blink of an eye, the expression on Igor's face cycled through a thousand changes!

Kadi found this scene unsurprising, gradually shrugging his shoulders with helplessness towards Igor.

"This is Alchemy Workshop's domain. What they use most is certainly Alchemy, and the most crucial part of Alchemy is surely exchange!" Igor said excitedly, clearly feeling he had made a major discovery.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Though Kadi was no stranger to Igor's behavior, he was still very interested in Igor's discovery.

"This wall is indeed hard, but it's something acquired through exchange. We mustn't look at this thing with conventional thought," Igor was still excited. After realizing this point, he couldn't stop smiling.

"So what does that change?" Kadi still didn't quite understand, pondering how everything connected.
