One-Eyed Monster

Chapter 1283 - 1279: The Unknown and the Known

Princess Juliette's explanation plunged Igor into deep contemplation again. He started observing the surrounding flowers and plants, increasingly captivated by their strange beauty.

Adventurers of the wide realm, adventurers of the small realm...

Igor suddenly realized he might have confined the profession of adventurers.

Lord Soron, he is an adventurer, but he is also a wizard. What does this imply? It implies that adventurers aren't confined by many rules; as long as one explores the unknown, they can be called adventurers!

Think about Perkins; isn't he the same kind of person? He traveled across the continent, interacted with Tree Spirits, did business with Dwarves—even if he wasn't an Adventurer with Class, what does it matter? Perkins also explored the limits of Non-Adventurers, discovering many pursuits available to them too. Thus, Perkins is also an adventurer.

Igor realized he had experienced this before, yet why does he feel he's back at square one now? It must be his own issue; he needs to reflect on himself seriously.

"I know it's not easy to change the ingrained thinking in your mind, especially considering this notion has occupied your mind for so long," Princess Juliette continued, showing her concern for Igor.

"Don't worry too much about him, Your Highness. He's the kind of person who will figure it out soon enough," Kadi cheerfully said from the side, amused by Igor's demeanor earlier; why not just speak up immediately rather than holding back for so long?

"Haha, I'm not worried. Now let me answer your previous question." Princess Juliette smiled gently, unconcerned with Igor's earlier attitude.

"My previous question? What question?" Kadi was baffled, completely unaware of the proceedings.

"Wow, you are all such forgetful creatures; you can't even remember the questions you've asked yourselves."

"I really don't remember, Your Highness."

"Then I won't answer." Princess Juliette smiled mischievously.

"Please, don't leave me in suspense like this—that would keep me awake all night!" Kadi grew anxious, fearing the incomplete answer.

"Hahaha, alright, out of pity, I shall tell you." At this moment, Princess Juliette was like a playful child enjoying her leisure.

"First, Your Highness, you'll need to tell me which question, or even if you answer, I won't know what it's about." Kadi became clever this time, understanding he needed to clarify context.

"Oh, it's the question you asked earlier; you asked me how I knew your names!" Princess Juliette incompletely detailed to Kadi.

"Oh, didn't Igor just answer that, saying you're a wizard who has the ability of divination?"

"I've said that I'm not a wizard, which refutes that answer!"

"Uhh..." Kadi scratched his head, feeling Princess Juliette's logic seemed sound.

"I don't have divination abilities; the reason I know so much about you is simply because I've heard a lot earlier."

"Heard?" Kadi was astonished.

After all, neither Igor nor Kadi were particularly notable figures with legendary stories across the continent, so Kadi couldn't understand how a princess of the Empire might hear their stories.

"Yes, Xiso and Bigas often talk about you, haha." Juliette quickly explained to Kadi, which struck a chord in Kadi's heart...

"Xiso!" Kadi couldn't help but exclaim.

Kadi never imagined hearing Xiso's name here.

They had always planned to enter the King's Palace, precisely aiming to find Xiso!

"A question if I may, Your Highness. The Bigas and Xiso you mentioned just now—are they the ones from our Kangen Family?" The silent Old Cole finally spoke with surprise.

"Yes, Mr. Cole, it's those two."

Princess Juliette's response sent a shiver through everyone present, including the contemplative Igor, dragging him back to reality.

"Have you met them?" Old Cole's voice quivered slightly, knowing from the Kangen Family's information, Bigas and Xiso had been confined in the palace.

"I have met them, why? Is there something wrong?" Princess Juliette was puzzled by the sudden excitement of these three individuals before her.

Emotions were overwhelming; Igor and Kadi felt taken aback, having found the answers to their long-standing expectation here with such ease.

"I presume Your Highness knows our purpose for coming here." Old Cole said softly.

"Mr. Cole, of course, I know you are here hoping to use my connection to enter the palace." Princess Juliette put away her smile, displaying majesty fitting a princess.

"We..." Old Cole tried to continue, but Princess Juliette interrupted him.

"Thank you for your silence earlier, allowing me to converse freely with these two new friends. It's been long since I had such a natural chat; as a princess, so much constrains me."

"Your Highness, do not exaggerate; my silence was not intentional, but because I'm old and couldn't keep up with the young ones. I wasn't able to join your conversation, so I had to remain silent."

"Haha, Mr. Cole is consistently humble. I won't waste time; knowing these two new friends has been pleasant, but our problems won't be solved simply by this joy."

At this moment, Princess Juliette spoke firmly and powerfully, entirely different from her previous demeanor.

"I understand your intention to enter the palace, but currently, the palace is not under my brother's control."

This revelation startled Igor and the others greatly.

The content alone was substantial enough to digest, while Princess Juliette's candidness was even more surprising.

Juliette seemed to trust them thoroughly, openly expressing her views on the palace's unusual situation, which was quite peculiar.

"I don't know who controls the palace now, and I can't enter the palace myself, despite being the King's sister. But if you wish to see Xiso and Bigas, I may have some way."

Hearing this, Igor and Kadi became instantly excited. Visiting the princess's garden had indeed been rewarding.

"However, I would like to know why you need to meet Xiso and Bigas. You must tell me the reason."
