[Summary]
- Although you are not a progenitor, you have integrated and purified thirteen vampire bloodlines and taken this path to its pinnacle. Thus, you are... the True Ancestor of the Shining Vampire!
Yu Xian had known that the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art could greatly improve both the purity of his bloodline and his overall strength, but he had never expected to leap two entire ranks and break through directly to God rank.
He knew that the vampire bloodlines within him originated from thirteen worlds devoured by the Abyss. The vampires from these worlds were clearly not of the same species, and each possessed different abilities. Now, through the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art, Yu Xian had integrated all thirteen bloodlines and directly evolved into an entirely new kind of vampire that stood above them all.
Essentially, the art had integrated every ability derived from those bloodlines into his Primordial Pureblood. Not only had none of them been weakened, but they had instead grown stronger.
Eternal Purity was also observing his attributes. She said, "The path you follow appears to differ from the current cultivation system. Your rank has already far surpassed Heaven rank, yet you still haven't reached Star rank."
Yu Xian closed his attribute panel with a smile. "That's because the cultivation method I'm using may date back to a very, very, very ancient era."
Every era had its cultivation methods. They could be more advanced than those of the past, more primitive, or largely similar.
Modern cultivation methods emphasized accumulating a deep foundation before achieving an explosive breakthrough. Each advancement to a new rank brought a tremendous surge in strength.
Yu Xian's path, however, was different. He built his strength upward one step at a time. As long as he obtained enough powerful bloodlines, his combat prowess would continue to rise.
Eternal Purity looked at him. "But the potential within your body... has now been completely exhausted."
Yu Xian slowly clenched his fist, feeling the immense power coursing through his body. He confidently said, "Then I'll hunt down even more powerful bloodlines. My path will have no end!"
"That sounds promising. It seems to align rather closely with Mr. Eye's legacy."
While Yu Xian would have probably cared about that before, that was not the case anymore. The moment he decided to use the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art, he had already understood how he would proceed from this point onward.
He had integrated sixteen bloodlines and pushed them all to their limits, which resulted in his Power value increasing to sixteen. In other words, if he obtained another eighty-four bloodlines comparable in quality to the sixteen he currently possessed, he would gain strength on par with Edward.
The bloodlines granted by Forbidden Fruits did not originate from particularly powerful sources. Most of them were incomplete versions, and some were even counterfeits cobbled together from unrelated fragments.
For example, the Pangu bloodline represented by the Pangu Heart did not originate from the true Pangu, but from twelve different animals. Each of those animals possessed a faint trace of one of the Twelve Ancestral Shamans' Bloodlines. After the Abyss devoured them, whenever someone wished to become Pangu, those twelve abilities were fused to create the so-called Pangu bloodline.
The problem was that the bloodline itself was profoundly incomplete. If a complete bloodline were to be compared to a painting in a jigsaw puzzle, each of those twelve animals possessed only a single puzzle piece, and those pieces came from twelve entirely different paintings. The Forbidden Fruit mindlessly forced those twelve unrelated pieces together, creating a picture called "Pangu."
At most, the Blood Demon Style: Infinite Self-Devouring Art could perfectly restore each of those puzzle pieces. However, Yu Xian could restore only the pieces he already possessed. He could not create the missing parts from nothing and turn each fragment into a complete painting. But that wouldn't be the case if he could obtain more puzzle pieces.

Half an hour later, Yu Xian, Zhang Shou, and the others sat in a row on the beach, resting.
After determining how much his strength had increased, Yu Xian first searched for the unconscious Gong Qian and brought her back. When he had flung her away, Gong Qian had smashed headfirst into the ice and skidded and crashed for several thousand meters before getting buried beneath the frozen surface. She had been knocked unconscious on the spot.
Fortunately, her skull was sturdy enough. Had it been Xiong Da or Bluebird instead, there would probably have been nothing left but a frozen smear of blood and flesh.
Once Zhang Shou finished treating Xiong Da and Gong Qian, Yu Xian did not hide anything from them. He recounted everything he had encountered after entering the golden door. As an apology, he also decided to teach everyone the Dragonblood Race-Conversion Art and the Scripture of the Wicked.
Had Eternal Purity not returned in time, they would have all been in grave danger. Moreover, these two cultivation methods were completely different from modern cultivation methods, which made them particularly suitable for beings from a Level-1 World, who were innately deficient.
However, the former required the blood of a powerful dragonkin, while the latter required its practitioner to hunt down and kill evildoers. Each had its advantages, drawbacks, and difficulties.
Gong Qian gave the matter some thought and declared from her lounge chair, "I've decided. I'm going to cultivate the Scripture of the Wicked and wipe out every great villain under heaven!"
Zhang Shou sighed helplessly. "I still don't know whether I can cultivate it. But if I can... Salted Fish, please carry me to the top!"
The exclusionary energy within his body prevented him from obtaining any other supernatural powers beyond his own system. Given the choices, he would unquestionably select the Dragonblood Race-Conversion Art. Once Yu Xian became even stronger, Zhang Shou could ask for Yu Xian's help in obtaining a sufficiently powerful dragonkin's blood and carrying him straight to the peak.
Yu Xian held a drink in his hand. "The side effects and weaknesses brought by Forbidden Fruits aren't necessarily impossible to eliminate. It's said that methods for removing them exist in the Abyss... The question is, does your condition actually count as a side effect?"
After thinking it over carefully, Zhang Shou realized Yu Xian had a point. His side effects caused him to age rapidly in a seven-day cycle. However, the exclusionary energy within him was sometimes an advantage rather than a weakness.
For example, when he had been transported to that dead world, it was precisely because his body rejected foreign energies that the corpse miasma failed to harm him. Therefore, even he could not say for certain whether it truly counted as a side effect.
"These two cultivation methods are indeed powerful, but neither suits me very well. I'll just continue cultivating my Rocket Bear-Bear Art," Xiong Da said.
Bluebird chose the Dragonblood Race-Conversion Art instead, hoping that she would obtain the blood of a powerful dragonkin someday and finally put the technique to use.
Once everyone had made their choice, Yu Xian taught them their respective cultivation methods. At the same time, he warned them not to pass the techniques on carelessly. Both methods possessed a somewhat sinister nature. They posed no problem in the hands of good people, but could become disastrous if they fell into a villain's hands.
The Dragonblood Race-Conversion Art could make certain evildoers target people with powerful supernatural bloodlines. Meanwhile, the Scripture of the Wicked could be cultivated in reverse, which would transform it into the Scripture of the Virtuous and allow its practitioner to grow stronger by killing good people instead.
When Yu Xian first obtained these cultivation methods, he had already vaguely sensed that they were double-edged swords. Whether they were used for good or evil depended entirely on the character of whoever possessed them. He trusted Gong Qian and the others, but the same could not be said for everyone else.

Since none of them had expected to be delayed for two days, they had accumulated quite a few matters that needed their attention outside. After teaching them the cultivation methods, Yu Xian sent everyone out of the Island Pocket Dimension.
Once they had left, he released a spatial bubble from his fingertip and instantly teleported away. He had something to verify urgently.
