Brandon walked forward and stood beside the host. His handsome face, perfect physique, and powerful aura immediately drew everyone’s attention in the room.

Brandon smiled faintly. His eyes swept across the invited guests who had gathered there.

Beside him, Laila affectionately held Brandon’s hand before letting go and allowing him to address everyone who had come.

Brandon took the microphone and nodded to the audience.

"My name is Brandon Vein. I know you’ve all heard of me long before deciding to attend the opening of our family’s first stock market."

Brandon continued speaking at length until the tension in the room gradually faded.

Meanwhile, at the very back of the room, Sean changed the display on the computer in front of him with Kevin’s help. He had contacted Kevin before entering the room.

Sean wore a tiny headset in his ear.

No one noticed his movements. Even Brandon’s subordinates, who kept walking around to maintain security, failed to notice anything unusual.

The guards paid no attention to Sean’s hands as they began moving across the keyboard in front of him.

Brandon had stationed numerous IT experts at the venue to monitor stock trading activities. Everyone had even been assigned their respective share allocations before they were allowed to make any additional purchases.

The supervisory board of Melvin Continent said nothing. Its members sat quietly in their respective seats.

To them, there was only one thing that mattered. The shares belonging to the ruling family of the eastern region of Melvin Continent were not supposed to be used solely to generate profits for the family itself. The public had to be involved in the business as well.

As for everything else, the supervisory board would turn a blind eye to whatever the family did afterward.

Seeing that no one was paying attention to him, Sean cleared his throat softly.

"Are you ready?" he asked.

Kevin’s voice came through the headset. His fingers moved rapidly across his computer.

"90%. I’ll release the information you gave me as soon as their stock market opens."

Sean nodded in satisfaction. His eyes returned to Brandon Vein, who was still talking about his family’s business finally entering the public market.

Sean’s lips curled into a faint sneer.

"Is the supervisory board of Melvin Continent really that stupid?" he scoffed. "They want every ruler of Melvin Continent’s regions to release their business shares to the public, yet they turn a blind eye to blatant restrictions on share purchases like this?"

Sean’s fake parents beside him pretended not to see or hear the curse that escaped his lips. They continued facing forward while occasionally keeping an eye on their surroundings.

"So..." Brandon finally raised his voice. "I won’t hold up the event any longer. I hereby officially open the stock market of the eastern region of Melvin Continent."

Brandon looked at the attendees one by one before turning to the host beside him. He nodded.

The host returned his nod.

"The stock market of the eastern region of Melvin Continent is now officially open!" the host announced enthusiastically.

"Now!" Sean ordered.

Kevin nodded when he heard the command. His fingers moved swiftly as he typed in the code before finally pressing Enter.

The members of Melvin Continent’s supervisory board looked at the large screen in front of them, which now displayed the stock movements in the eastern region of Melvin Continent.

At first, the graph remained still. But a few seconds later, the lines began moving rapidly, displaying large volumes of stock transactions.

Brandon Vein smiled with satisfaction as he watched the graph beside him, where the figures were changing rapidly.

The shares of his family’s company, which had initially been valued at $1,000 per share, had now risen several times over.

In just a matter of seconds, his family’s shares had soared to $8,000 per share.

Laila, standing beside him, stepped forward slowly with a faint smile. Her flawless face and wavy brown hair made her seem like the only woman worthy of standing at Brandon’s side.

Brandon said nothing. He allowed the cameras in the room to continue capturing him and Laila in the same frame.

Sean’s smile widened.

"Keep going... keep going... keep going..." he murmured under his breath as he stared at the figures on his computer screen.

As the number of shares he had managed to acquire beyond the allocation Brandon had originally set continued to increase, Sean laughed heartily behind his mask. He even looked as though he were about to devour his computer out of sheer excitement.

Ding!

Ding!

Ding!

One by one, the people in the room received messages sent out by their respective family members.

Sean watched as they began looking at their phones.

His fake parents beside him followed the other guests’ movements. They took out their phones and read the incoming messages.

Everyone’s expression changed instantly as they read the contents.

The cause of the fire at Building C.

The robbery committed by the eldest son of the Sam family.

The Marghwood family’s infidelity scandal.

Meldf Company’s tax evasion.

The murder of the Vard family’s youngest son that had been concealed.

The massive corruption scandal involving businesses in the eastern region of Melvin Continent ten years ago, which had caused stock exchange records to remain inaccurate to this day.

Their phones continued ringing one after another. The secretaries of the guests began calling them individually, asking for instructions on how to contain the news that had finally been exposed to the public.

Brandon, his family, and Laila, who had been standing calmly until then, began frowning at everyone’s behavior in the room.

But before Brandon could ask anything, another round of messages arrived on everyone’s phones.

Your family accounts will be frozen in five minutes. Hide your assets from the eyes of Melvin Continent’s supervisory board. Sell your shares immediately. I’ll buy them on your behalf.

The message arrived simultaneously on the phones of everyone who had been allocated shares by Brandon Vein.

Everyone exchanged glances without daring to say a word. Shortly afterward, they nodded almost simultaneously after each had received another message from their secretary informing them that some of their assets would begin to be frozen as a result of an investigation by the Melvin Continental Supervisory Board.

Without wasting any time, they immediately sprang into action and began pressing the sell buttons on their respective computer screens.
