My Reconstruction Talent is too OP!!!
Chapter 164: Mythical Rules
The corrupted energy surrounding that part of the Sin of the Forest suddenly became unstable.
Boom!
A massive explosion erupted from its body.
The Sin of the Forest let out an enormous roar as a large section of its body was torn apart.
Kaiser landed on the ground and immediately looked toward the wound.
’It worked.’
For the first time, he had directly interfered with the structure of the Greater Rule of Corruption.
Selene immediately noticed the opening.
Her eyes flashed.
"Blood Rose Execution."
A massive Blood Rose appeared behind her.
Countless crimson roots shot forward and pierced into the exposed wound.
Rachel followed immediately.
"Ruinous Devastation!"
Pale light gathered around her weapon before she struck the same area.
Boom!
The combined attacks exploded inside the Sin of the Forest’s body.
The monster staggered backward.
At the same time, the Corpse Lord’s former body continued supporting Kaiser through Undead Unity.
Kaiser could feel its power flowing through him.
The Supreme Rule of Amalgamation became even clearer.
He could now understand more of the energy around him.
’If I can continue comprehending this Rule while fighting...’
Kaiser looked at the enormous monster.
’Maybe I can actually fight something several ranks above me.’
The Sin of the Forest suddenly opened its massive mouth.
A terrifying amount of corrupted energy began gathering inside it.
Alex immediately noticed the attack.
"That doesn’t look good!"
Kaiser looked toward the monster.
The energy inside its mouth continued growing.
The entire forest began shaking.
Kaiser tightened his grip on his greatsword.
"It looks like some kind of breath attack. Be ready to run away," Kaiser said to Alex as he sensed an enormous amount of Corruption Rule gathering inside that green-black energy.
"Its better to finish this fast." He wanted to fight it but seeing the powerful attack its creating he is getting bad feeling and decided to end it early.
He switched his greatsword to his main weapon.
The Scythe of Blessed Death appeared in his hand.
Alex immediately noticed the strange aura surrounding the weapon.
"Wait, you also had such a powerful weapon? Why didn’t you use it from the start?" he asked, both surprised and confused.
"I was trying to sense its Rule more closely," Kaiser replied casually.
Of course, that wasn’t the real reason.
The Scythe of Blessed Death was a Demigod-grade weapon that Kaiser had created during his trial world. Although it was currently sealed, its power was still far beyond anything he could use casually.
Using it placed enormous strain on his body.
That was why Kaiser only used it when absolutely necessary.
Like now.
Kaiser raised the scythe.
Dark light suddenly began shining from its blade.
"Universal End."
As soon as he spoke those words, a massive phantom scythe suddenly appeared behind him.
At the same time, nearly 90% of Kaiser’s Mana was instantly drained from his body.
His body staggered from the sudden loss of energy, but he forced himself to remain standing.
Then he swung the scythe.
The phantom scythe descended.
Whoosh!
The enormous blade tore through the battlefield.
The Sin of the Forest had barely begun releasing its devastating breath attack when the phantom scythe reached it.
Slash!
The phantom scythe completely shredded the monster’s enormous body.
The corrupted energy gathering inside its mouth dispersed instantly.
The gigantic body of the Sin of the Forest froze for a moment before countless cracks appeared across it.
Boom!
Its body exploded into countless pieces of roots, plants, bones, and hardened resin.
At the same time, notifications appeared in front of Kaiser and Alex.
[You have slain the Forest of Sin (Corruption Type).]
[You have gained a Legendary-Rank Chest as a reward.]
Kaiser stared at the notifications for a moment before slowly lowering the Scythe of Blessed Death.
Alex, however, was staring at him in complete disbelief.
The last attack had been far beyond anything he had expected.
Even with his new inheritance and his almost perfect escape technique, Alex wasn’t confident that he could have dodged the Kaiser’s final attack.
"What the hell was that?" Alex muttered.
Kaiser didn’t answer.
He was too busy trying to recover from the backlash.
His entire body was trembling as powerful energy continued rushing through him.
"Fuck... using skill makes the backlash even worse," Kaiser muttered.
He suddenly coughed up blood.
"Kugh!"
He quickly wiped the blood from his mouth before putting the Scythe of Blessed Death away.
The weapon disappeared from his hand.
Kaiser took several deep breaths and tried to stabilize his body.
’Using Universal End with my current strength is still too dangerous.’
Even though the Scythe of Blessed Death was sealed, the skill still consumed an enormous amount of his Mana and placed tremendous strain on his body.
Kaiser looked toward the remains of the Forest of Sin.
’But it was worth it.’
The monster that had forced Selene, Rachel, and the Corpse Lord into a desperate battle had been completely destroyed by a single attack.
Kaiser glanced at Alex.
"Let’s collect the chest and the remains before leaving."
Alex was still staring at him.
"You’re seriously acting like nothing happened?"
Kaiser shrugged.
"I’m fine."
Alex looked at the blood still visible around Kaiser’s mouth.
"You are clearly not fine."
Kaiser ignored him and walked toward the remains of the Forest of Sin.
He ordered his remaining undead to collect all the body parts of the boss. Only around 900 undead were still standing after the battle, but they quickly began gathering the scattered roots, bones, plants, and other remains of the Forest of Sin.
Kaiser stored all of the body parts in his inventory.
’These might be useful.’
The Forest of Sin had possessed the power of a Greater Rule. Even its body parts might contain traces of that power, which could bring unexpected benefits when he used them to create a new undead.
’I’ll definitely use its corpse for my next undead creation.’
After making sure that everything had been collected, Kaiser looked toward the Legendary-Rank Chest.
"Let’s open the chest."
Alex nodded and moved closer. He was also curious about what they would receive from the chest.
"Dude, I’m so excited. This is my first Legendary Chest!"
Alex looked extremely excited as he stared at the chest.
Kaiser nodded, but his attention was focused on something else.
He secretly tried to use Reconstruction on the chest.
However, the moment he activated his Talent, he realized that his current Mana wasn’t enough.
Even while using Undead Unity with the Corpse Lord, which significantly increased his available Mana, he still couldn’t afford the massive Mana cost required to reconstruct a Legendary-Rank Chest.
Kaiser quietly canceled the attempt.
’My Mana is still too low.’
He looked at the chest again.
’I’ll have to wait until I can increase my Mana further.’
Alex noticed Kaiser staring at the chest.
"What’s wrong?"
"Nothing. Let’s open it."
Kaiser placed his hand on the chest.
Alex stood beside him, looking even more excited.
Neither of them knew what kind of reward was waiting inside.
