My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 633 - 344: Spirit of Sun, A Pair of Eyes

"Aren’t there any trials or something? At least let me try."

This Residual Fire indeed held some weight, managing to attract the Spirit of Sun, but not enough to grant him everything. Let alone making him the Chosen One, it didn’t even show him that so-called dragon shadow manifestation.

After dropping those words, the Spirit of Sun swung its body and twisted its head. A rolling storm howled past, causing the Residual Fire around Su Chen to flicker. It seemed to have lost interest and was preparing to return.

"They actually didn’t fight," the blurred phantom below noted, stunned.

When the Spirit of Sun was first awakened and saw them, it had been furious. But now, this figure had forcefully intruded, yet the Spirit of Sun completely ignored him. Had this person become so strong that even the Spirit of Sun could do nothing about it, leaving him to come and go as he pleased?

He definitely wasn’t a Professional from the Dust Star Sea. The phantom was almost certain that those Ancient Kings, or even the Emperor, couldn’t possess such strength.

Just as he hesitated over whether to make contact with the intruder, he caught a glimpse of something in his peripheral vision and couldn’t help but turn his head. On the invisible barrier between the internal space and the external Flame Fire, a vortex was suddenly and gradually opening. His figure trembled, growing even more astounded.

"Is this... an external pathway?!" he thought in shock.

"It told me to leave as soon as possible, but it didn’t force me out immediately. I still don’t know what the situation is down there. I finally managed to expend Divine Blood to get in here; it’d be too much of a loss to be kicked out without gaining a single thing," Su Chen mused.

He scanned the complex of palaces below. Without the Spirit of Sun locking onto his aura, he could faintly control his body again. He planned to explore the area, figure out what was really going on, and see if there were any opportunities to snatch some loot.

However, just as he was calculating his next move, the dragon of the Sun that was about to turn back suddenly stopped and turned its head around once more.

"Did it change its mind and decide to make me the Chosen One right away?" Su Chen wondered, letting his imagination run wild. But then he saw a certain fury faintly surface in the eyes of the dragon of the Sun, and the surrounding lightning instantly flared with intense brilliance.

Su Chen’s heart skipped a beat. "Does this Spirit of Sun possess the Mind Reading Technique? Does it know I was planning to steal something? That can’t be, right? Or is it trying to drive me away right now? Why so rushed?"

Cautiously preparing to retreat, he realized that the Spirit of Sun’s eyes didn’t seem to be fixed on him.

Behind him?

Su Chen’s heart stirred, and he turned to look. Not far behind him, a vortex was gradually expanding on the invisible barrier, its edges sparking with golden flames. This made him involuntarily frown. "What the hell is this thing now..."

Outside the Sun Flame, its intrinsic light radiated to an unknown distance, dispelling the surrounding Nether Fog and cleansing a stretch of silent Star Universe.

In interstellar space, there was no scale to measure just how massive objects truly were. Only in the distance was there a patch of light difficult to discern with the naked eye. Upon closer inspection, one could see it was a boundless interstellar base. Its metallic structural platforms extended into deep space like the spine of a giant beast. Surrounding bands of blue and white light carved cold trajectories through the Star Universe, their edges shimmering with a faint azure glow. Anti-gravity fields anchored the entire base complex, preventing it from being pulled in by the terrifying gravitational pull generated by the Flame Fire’s mass.

Several large warships were docked on the outer edge of the platforms. Through the side portholes, one could faintly see numerous figures bustling back and forth.

At this moment, the surface of the base had been completely cleared. Countless fissure-like lines spread out like a spider web, covering an incredibly vast area. Even the massive carrier spaceships docked at the edge of the base only occupied a tiny corner in comparison. The lines of the Talisman Array were not carved, but rather etched into the metal substrate using some sort of nanoscale technology, so fine that they were almost indistinguishable. Only when Energy flowed through the talisman lines could those meandering patterns be seen.

The Hanhai Emperor stood at the edge, his posture tall and burly. In his left hand, he held a rolling, fist-sized mass of blood-colored liquid formed from a mixture of various hues. In his other hand, he held a swirling, dense golden mist.

In the center of the Talisman Array stood Qin Yun. The other Ancient Kings were stationed at various points around him, their expressions solemn as they waited in full readiness. A wisp of lingering purple fire burned quietly to the side.

"The Five Great Sects and the Royal Court have each drawn out twenty drops of Divine Blood, making a total of one hundred and twenty drops. They are all here. There is also the Power of Faith refined from numerous Little Deceitful Gods—these are all our accumulations over many years." The Hanhai Emperor raised his head to look at the boundlessly massive purple fireball, his voice indifferent. "If this fails..."

"As long as you follow my Guiding, there will absolutely be no accidents," a voice from within the flames replied without much emotional fluctuation, playing the role of the arrogance unique to the Sun Tier.

"Since that’s the case, let us begin," the Hanhai Emperor declared. His gaze hardened as he brought his hands together, slamming the Divine Blood and the golden mist into each other. They instantly detonated, weaving together all sorts of magnificent lights and erupting into a silent shockwave.

The merged torrent, as if directed by an Invisible Power, was injected precisely into the giant Talisman Array before him. It was instantaneously activated, humming and trembling endlessly. The other Ancient Kings focused their gazes and simultaneously raised their hands, injecting Energy into the array. Six Moonlight Tier Professionals struck at the same time. The boiling torrent of Energy shook the void until it seemed ready to tear apart.

Energy converged within the Talisman Array. The Divine Blood was rapidly consumed, and golden symbols surged like ocean waves.

Qin Yun furrowed his brows tightly as he was involuntarily lifted into the air. He couldn’t help but feel apprehensive. Although this Residual Spirit was not left behind by a deceased Sun Tier expert, its origins were indeed extraordinary, and it knew many bizarre methods. However, it was precisely because he had followed the other party’s Guiding that he had enraged the Spirit of Sun.

BOOM!

A pillar of golden light surged fiercely from the Talisman Array below, plunging entirely into his body. All the power accumulated within Qin Yun’s body. His face flushed bright red, his pupils shone with dazzling brilliance, and the veins on his skin bulged as if he would explode at any moment.

At the same time, the purple fire burning to the side separated into a single wisp of purple flame. Though faint, it was extremely resilient, drifting into the center of Qin Yun’s Flame Fire.

"Hurry!" the voice barked sharply.

Qin Yun didn’t dare delay. He hastily followed what the Sun had said, Guiding the majestic power within his body.

BOOM!

A blazing pillar of light shot out from his chest, simultaneously passing through that faint purple flame. In an instant, with the purple flame as the boundary, the golden pillar of light transformed into a purple-gold torrent. Like an arrow of a Divine Spirit, it pierced through the space of the Star Realm and converged explosively with the Sun Flame.

Everyone’s hearts tightened, yet the expected violent Energy collision did not occur. Instead, layers of ripples appeared on the surface of the Flame Fire, subsequently forming a vortex. It had actually opened the Sun Flame.

Panting heavily, Qin Yun couldn’t help but look at the vortex gradually emerging on the surface of the Flame Fire. Through the vortex, a continuous stretch of palaces could vaguely be seen. Some unpleasant memories instantly flooded his mind.

Yet, a sense of amusement also welled up inside him. The several Ancient Kings and the Emperor probably never imagined that almost nothing this so-called Sun said was true...

Huh? As the vortex gradually expanded, Qin Yun’s expression underwent a massive shock, revealing a look of astonishment. He actually saw a section of a thick, purple dragon body.

"The Spirit of Sun? How is it in an awakened state?"

"Is that the Spirit of Sun?" The Zhenwu Ancient King soared into the Star Universe, his gaze burning with such fervor that he almost couldn’t resist the urge to charge right in.

The expressions of the others shifted slightly as they closely followed suit, soaring into the Star Universe. The Hanhai Emperor followed, holding the Sun in his grasp.

"Hm? Not only is the Spirit of Sun there, but that seems..." The Zhenwu Ancient King’s expression changed slightly. He narrowed his eyes, which glimmered with a dark radiance, and suddenly shouted in alarm, "No, that’s a person!"

A person? The Hanhai Emperor’s face grew heavy as overlapping golden rings surfaced in his pupils.

The Bronze Ancient King’s eyes spun like gears, interwoven with a torrent of data, as the scene before him continuously zoomed in, magnifying over and over again.

The other Ancient Kings also deployed their own methods. Distance was not an issue for them. Through the vortex pathway, they saw it with absolute clarity—

In front of the Spirit of Sun’s head, there was indeed a blurred figure. He was enveloped in blazing purple fire, making his details entirely indiscernible.

The figure seemed to sense the external gazes and turned to look.

A pair of faintly discernible eyes looked down upon them.
