My Professions Have Too Much Personality
Chapter 634 - 345: Prison King
Those indifferent eyes were clearly seen by every Ancient King and Emperor present. They wondered how there could be a person inside!
Hanhai Emperor’s expression changed drastically. Before starting this fire-drawing ritual, they had made many assumptions, but they never expected to see such a scene unfold. He stared intently at the figure, seemingly trying to make eye contact to glean some clues. However, he was met with nothing but absolute apathy.
Bronze Ancient King looked solemn. The purple fire isolated everything, making it impossible even for him to capture any information. What did it mean for this figure to stand face-to-face with the Sun Spirituality?
The other Ancient Kings fared no better, their faces filled with shock.
It wasn’t just them. The research base below had been established here for a long time and possessed ample experience studying the Sun Flame. Long before the ritual began, they had prepared their observation equipment.
At this moment, every screen across the base displayed this figure wreathed in dense purple flames. As those eyes glanced downward, they carried an endless, profound apathy. After a brief moment of dead silence, everyone from the top executives to the lowest-level researchers felt a profound sense of shock.
"Impossible. How could there be a person?" The flame pinched in Hanhai Emperor’s hand suddenly began to dance wildly. It cried out in alarm as if it had seen a ghost, "How could someone possibly intrude at a time like this?"
The Sun Flame had just passed its weakening phase and was currently in its Vigorous Stage. Its intensity was unimaginably high. Even the Moonlight Tier powerhouses present would find it difficult to forcefully breach it. Yet, not only had that person entered, but they had also seemingly summoned the Sun Spirituality.
Qin Yun looked up and murmured in his heart, "He lets the Sun Fire burn on the surface of his body without taking any damage..." He had a deep, personal understanding of how terrifying the Sun Fire was. Even now, the memory of it left him with lingering fear. Looking closely, the figure’s eyes were utterly indifferent, seemingly not taking the present Ancient Kings seriously at all.
"What is this? How did a vortex suddenly appear?"
Su Chen frowned deeply, feeling somewhat bewildered. Beyond the vortex lay an empty, silent Star Universe. Pushing his vision to its absolute limits, he could only faintly make out a cluster of reflective little dots.
"It seems to be outside the Flame Fire, but it’s not the Nether Realm. Could it be the real world?" Su Chen’s heart stirred as a sudden guess formed in his mind.
He muttered in his heart, "Could it be the Ancient Kings? Old Qing mentioned they were going to conduct some sort of fire-drawing ritual. What a coincidence to run into it."
Although based on his time estimates, they shouldn’t arrive for another few days, an estimate was just an estimate. It was entirely possible that the Ancient Kings were in a hurry and traveled faster, arriving ahead of schedule. He narrowed his eyes, trying hard to get a clearer look. He was incredibly curious about what methods those big shots were planning to use for their so-called fire-drawing ritual.
However, the distance was simply too vast. Even using every trick at his disposal, he could still only make out a few faint points of light.
At the same time, a tiny wisp of purple flame drifted in through the vortex. It wobbled unsteadily, heading straight toward their location. Su Chen was absolutely certain that this thing wasn’t coming for him.
Sure enough, as it drew closer, a gust of wind swept past from behind. The stream of fire suddenly accelerated, shooting right past Su Chen’s side.
He subconsciously turned his head and watched as the stream of fire plunged into the Sun Spirituality’s body. The anger in those massive eyes gradually faded, replaced by a look of contemplation.
After seemingly pondering for a moment, a miniature fire dragon—about three or four meters long—condensed on the surface of its body. The dragon soared around it for a while before turning into Flowing Light and shooting straight off into the distance.
"Is this what Sun meant when he said a part of the Spirituality would be drawn out to seek a Chosen One in the outside world? He actually wasn’t lying about that?" Su Chen was quite astonished and instinctively wanted to turn his head to look.
After peeling away this faint strand of Spirituality, the Spirit of Sun seemed to lose all interest. It glanced at Su Chen from the corner of its eye, its gaze carrying a hidden warning.
Su Chen was left speechless. He watched as its massive body broke apart and dissolved into Flowing Light, leaving only a profoundly dense pillar of light that returned to the place where it had first erupted.
Meanwhile, in the outside world.
"Since the pathway is already open, why bother drawing the fire? Let’s just charge right in!" Zhenwu Ancient King could no longer hold himself back. The Spirit of Sun seemed to have already been claimed by someone else; how could he possibly remain patient?
"No, we can’t go in now!" Upon hearing this, Sun, who was still somewhat dazed, quickly stopped him. "This Sun Spirituality has an eccentric temperament. If you barge in right now, you will definitely enrage it and ruin this excellent situation."
He did indeed want to send these guys inside, but if they went in now, they would inevitably drag him along. That completely contradicted his plans.
"Us going in will enrage the Spirit of Sun, but who the hell is that guy then?!" Zhenwu Ancient King demanded.
Sun was momentarily at a loss for words. How was he supposed to know who that guy was? "Regardless of who that person is, now is absolutely not the time to be impulsive.
"I can guarantee that he hasn’t become the Chosen One. Otherwise, the Spirituality wouldn’t be in this state."
Hearing this, the expressions of the crowd softened slightly. As long as they hadn’t been beaten to the punch, it was fine.
They were all rulers who had controlled major factions for years. What they hated the most were unforeseen accidents outside of their plans. Rashly entering the interior of the Flame Fire was definitely not what they wanted, either. The reason no one had refuted Zhenwu Ancient King’s words earlier was that they wanted to see what excuses this guy who called himself Sun would come up with.
At the same time, the figure wreathed in purple flames had already turned around, as if he had completely lost interest in them.
