My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 632 - 344: Spirit of Sun, A Pair of Eyes

  • Next Chapter

The winding, coiling purple pillar of light slowly extended and unfurled. Streams of light in the surrounding space surged in from all directions like a tide.

It gradually transformed into a purple dragon that spanned the heavens and the earth, composed entirely of pure light with edges as ethereal as smoke and mist.

Its body spanned the entire Flame Space, winding across the sky. Every piece of Scale Armor reflected the palace below, kicking up countless fine specks of light dust as it soared.

This was the Spirit of Sun. Even if it wasn’t truly at the Sun Tier, its Power was not something they could contend with.

"What on earth is going on?" he muttered in a daze. When they last entered, this Spirit of Sun hadn’t reacted at all. It wasn’t until Qin Yun fell under the Enchantment of the Residual Spirit and did something stupid that she awakened the Spirit of Sun.

And now, what was happening?

"That’s..." He looked toward the head of the Sun dragon, his heart skipping a beat.

Right in front of its head, there was an almost imperceptible speck of purple light. Although it was quite far away, with his abilities, he could naturally see it clearly once he focused.

Was that a person?

He looked horrified, his body twisting unsteadily.

The figure was engulfed in purple flames, and only a pair of faintly discernible eyes could be seen.

Was that the Sun Flame? Was this guy forcibly breaking in while enduring the Sun Flame head-on?

His body went numb; he found it completely inconceivable.

This Lost Flame had been discovered a long time ago. The Royal Court had researched it for quite some time and waited for an eternity before finally finding the right moment for a few Morning Star Tier Professionals like them to enter and explore.

When its flames were at their peak, even Moonlight Professionals would find it difficult to enter.

Yet, the surface of this guy’s body was burning with the flame of the Sun, but he seemed completely unaffected, just enduring it forcefully.

Just how terrifyingly strong was he? No wonder he could awaken the Spirit of Sun.

Was he an Ancient King from one of the Five Great Sects, or perhaps a Professional from outside the Dust Star Sea?

This Sun Fire blocked all detection. He couldn’t see through it and could only speculate.

In that brief moment, many thoughts crossed his mind. He even harbored a sliver of hope. The Sun Flame was incredibly terrifying; the other guys who had entered with him were all killed because of Qin Yun.

It was only because he was stronger that he survived. Even so, at the very last moment, despite having achieved the Unity of Spirit and Body, his Spiritual Power was forcibly stripped away by the Spirit of Sun and left behind. He was lingering on his last breath here while his physical body had been sent flying out.

But this powerhouse before him, who could endure the Sun Fire head-on, might just be able to take him out of here.

"Just please don’t start a fight," he thought anxiously. The Spirit of Sun was incredibly arrogant, and they had suffered immensely because of it last time.

Now that this person had forcibly broken in, he might have already enraged the Spirit of Sun.

"So this is the Spirit of Sun." Su Chen gulped, looking at the massive dragon head before him that was comparable to a mountain. From his angle, he could only see the great dragon’s jaw; he couldn’t even see its eyes.

He couldn’t help but think of the little dragon on the Great Venerable Stone Slab. The difference was truly astronomical. Although its aura had grown significantly after the two Stone Slabs merged into one, it still fell far short of the Sun dragon right before his eyes.

The Sun Flame and the Spirit of Sun were fundamentally two different things. The former was left behind after the death of a Sun Tier Professional, while the latter was the main body of the Sun Profession itself.

But perhaps the Spirit of Sun could influence this Flame Fire, or even harness its power, which was why it possessed such intimidating might?

Su Chen speculated inwardly as a terrifying majesty washed over him, locking him firmly in mid-air and making it difficult to perform any other movements.

Su Chen’s heart sank slightly. "Why did the Spirit of Sun dart out the moment I entered? This doesn’t match what Qin Yun said. They at least got to explore for a while."

"Could it be that Qin Yun lied even about such minor details, or is it because of the Sun Residual Fire on my body?"

He quietly attempted to anchor himself to reality, but sure enough, he was completely blocked off.

Just as his heart tightened, he noticed the massive head lowering slightly. A pair of vertical pupils, each as large as a house, locked onto him.

Su Chen’s breath caught in his throat. Soon after, he noticed the arrogance, indifference, and scrutiny in the Sun dragon’s eyes.

"Hah!" Su Chen finally felt a sense of familiarity. He knew this vibe all too well. When he first saw the Great Venerable Stone Slab, that half-incomplete Spiritual had the exact same obnoxious attitude.

These damn Spirituals were all like this, unbelievably arrogant. At the very least, this Spirit of Sun hadn’t shown any obvious disgust yet.

That Sun had once said the Divine Dawn Talent was merely a threshold. Having just crossed the threshold, he naturally wouldn’t be taken too seriously.

Su Chen wasn’t surprised. He originally just wanted to come in to see what the situation was and look for an opportunity to score some easy gains. He just hadn’t expected to bump into the Spirit of Sun right from the get-go.

"However, even if it doesn’t think much of me... it shouldn’t go so far as to kill me, right?" he thought. "At the very least, I have the Residual Fire protecting me. We’re on the same side."

While Su Chen was speculating inwardly, he saw the Sun dragon’s nostrils flare. Two streams of air suddenly blasted out, turning into a rolling storm.

Su Chen felt a chill in his heart. "It’s truly no different from a living creature. It is leagues beyond the Great Venerable’s Spiritual."

"Leave immediately." The words exploded in Su Chen’s ears. The massive sound left his head spinning. The voice was muffled, heavy, and carried an unquestionable arrogance.

Was that the voice of the Sun dragon?

Su Chen was stunned and found it somewhat inconceivable. This Spiritual wasn’t like the Great Venerable from back then, which only operated on basic instincts; it actually possessed true self-awareness.

Certain that he was likely out of danger, Su Chen breathed a sigh of relief but also felt a bit annoyed. "This guy isn’t even willing to let me stay here a little longer. I spent nine drops of Divine Blood to get in here, for crying out loud. That’s way too rude."
