My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 394: Sword Slays a Martial Arts Peak
Soon, the field was cleared, and everyone backed away to create an open space.
The two sides clashed. In just a few breaths, the old woman from Spirit Sword Valley was wounded by a single slash, sending blood spraying through the air.
An arm was severed, and blood gushed out like a fountain.
Everyone was shocked to see Chu Feng act so viciously, actually delivering a crippling blow. He was truly a ruthless man.
’To so brazenly offend Spirit Sword Valley... He’s asking for a world of trouble.’
But Chu Feng couldn’t care less. If he had offended them, so be it. He had already lopped off the old woman’s arm with a single slash; the grudge was now set in stone.
There could be no peaceful resolution.
"Kneel and apologize, and I might spare you!" Chu Feng said coldly, his eyes filled with icy killing intent.
The old woman was no match for Chu Feng at all and had been defeated in just a few moves.
"In your dreams! Just you wait to collect the Chu Family’s corpses! Your entire family will be annihilated!" the old woman spat viciously.
"You damn hag! How dare you threaten my Chu Family? You want to wipe us out?" Hearing this, Chu Tianshan erupted in fury and prepared to strike as well.
However, Chu Feng stopped him. "Don’t," he said. "This old woman dies by my sword today!"
’Chu Feng would never spare a stubborn old fool who dared to threaten him. Did she really think he was a pushover?’
At that moment, Chu Feng accelerated his Celestial Sword Technique. Sword-light howled across the field, and all anyone could see were endless, fleeting flashes of brilliance.
They could see the light, but not the sword itself.
After this continued for a dozen or so breaths, Chu Feng retracted his Heaven-Slaying Sword and stood his ground.
With a sickening thud, the woman’s head was lopped off by Chu Feng’s sword, spraying blood everywhere.
As her head rolled onto the ground, the old woman’s body remained standing, ramrod straight.
A crimson geyser of blood erupted from her neck, shooting several meters into the air. The sight left all the surrounding Cultivators utterly stunned.
A few seconds later, the old woman’s corpse finally toppled over.
THUD!
It landed with a heavy thud, kicking up a flurry of snow.
"Someone, drag this corpse away. The tournament will continue!" Chu Feng declared, sheathing his sword. His cold voice boomed across the field.
"As you command, Venerable Chu Feng!"
After returning to his seat, Chu Feng addressed the crowd below, his voice frigid. "If anyone else dares to provoke me, a Martial Arts Venerable—I don’t care who you are, where you come from, or what backing you have—there is only one outcome for you: death!"
Although Chu Tianshan had been furious at the threat, even he was a little stunned by the extent of Chu Feng’s ruthlessness.
He never imagined Chu Feng would kill her without a second thought, going so far as to lop off her head.
Anyone who reached the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm was a supreme expert of the Martial Dao; killing one was no easy feat.
Yet Chu Feng had not only done it, but he had done it with such ease. It was simply astonishing.
"You’re in big trouble now," the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect sent to Chu Feng via voice transmission.
"Oh? And why is that?" Chu Feng asked.
"The people from Spirit Sword Valley are not to be trifled with," the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect explained. "They have deep ties to many powerful factions and a great number of Martial Arts Peak Realm experts. I’m afraid this will cause you great trouble in the future."
"What’s there to be afraid of? I’ve never feared such things," Chu Feng replied nonchalantly. "Anyone who comes looking for trouble with me will die a miserable death. I don’t mind cutting them all down."
’If anyone dared to touch his wife or his family, Chu Feng didn’t care who they were. For them, there was only one word: death!’
’Besides, it wasn’t as if he hadn’t given the old woman a chance. She was the one who threw it away.’
’Chu Feng wasn’t afraid of this so-called Spirit Sword Valley seeking revenge. If they dared to come and throw their lives away, he wouldn’t mind cutting them all down together.’
"Still, brother, you should be careful," said the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect. "Spirit Sword Valley’s sphere of influence is enormous, and they’re connected to many powerful families."
"Thank you," Chu Feng said with a nod.
"That being said, it was Spirit Sword Valley who broke the rules first. Even if they come looking for trouble, they won’t have much of a leg to stand on. After all, they offended our entire Great Snow Mountain," the Martial Arts Venerable from the Three Swords Sect added.
Soon, the tournament resumed, and everyone returned to their seats.
However, the way everyone looked at Chu Feng had changed. Although they had heard he was powerful...
...this was the first time they had seen him in action. He had killed a Human Martial Arts Peak Realm expert in just a few moves.
The power of Venerable Chu Feng was terrifying to behold.
"You dare kill an Elder of my Spirit Sword Valley!" At that moment, the female disciple from Spirit Sword Valley stepped forward to confront Chu Feng.
"And?" Chu Feng replied, without a trace of fear.
"You will regret this!" the female disciple from Spirit Sword Valley retorted.
"Is that so?" Chu Feng said with a scornful laugh. "I’d love to see just how I’ll come to regret this."
