My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 395: Beware of Spirit Sword Valley
The competition continued until noon, at which point Chu Feng finally left.
Just then, Chu Tianshan found him and came to stand by his side.
"What’s the matter? You followed me in such a hurry. Are you scared?" Chu Feng asked with a smile.
"Why would I be scared? I’m just worried about your safety, you brat. Spirit Sword Valley has a powerful background. Those people are not to be trifled with—they’re a real pain to deal with," Chu Tianshan said, his expression grave.
It was clear that Chu Tianshan was genuinely worried.
Chu Feng, however, just smiled. "Of course I know. But so what? It’s the middle of the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony, and she was the one who came looking for trouble. If I killed her, I killed her. What’s done is done."
"That’s easy for you to say. In practice, that just means they won’t trouble you openly. But what about behind your back? Do you think you can hide from that?" Chu Tianshan retorted.
"Hmph. You think I’m afraid of them? Whether it’s in the open or behind my back, if they want to come at me, they can bring it on," Chu Feng said with utter disdain.
"Fine, fine, fine. You’re the tough guy, okay? You win." Chu Tianshan was completely helpless. He had no way of dealing with Chu Feng when he was like this.
"Don’t you worry, old man. Nothing’s going to happen. Go get something to eat. I have to go," Chu Feng said.
The next few days were filled with selection matches and constant duels.
A single exchange could determine victory or defeat, or even life and death. It was all up to the combatants.
"You go on ahead. I’m not going. No one from the Chu Family is competing anymore, so what the hell would I go watch for? It’s a real shame, too. I heard the rewards for this competition are incredibly generous," Chu Tianshan said.
"That’s right. The resources they’re giving out are substantial. Even I’m a little jealous," Chu Feng said with a smile.
"Sigh, our Chu Family is already so poor. If we could’ve just made it into the top ten, we’d be rolling in it. It’s a goddamn shame! If you weren’t some damn Martial Arts Venerable, first place would have been guaranteed for you," Chu Tianshan lamented with a sigh.
He had been desperate for Chu Feng to participate in the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony. With him competing, the Chu Family would have certainly taken first place.
"You wish. Even if I did participate and win first place, what makes you think I’d give everything to the Chu Family? Keep dreaming," Chu Feng said.
"Hmph, you say that, you brat, but I know you would. Anyway, I’m done talking to you. I need to get back and keep an eye on things. I’m afraid Spirit Sword Valley might try to pull something," Chu Tianshan said.
"Alright. If anything happens, just send someone to get me," Chu Feng said.
"Of course! If I get ganged up on by the people from Spirit Sword Valley, you can bet I’ll be calling for you," Chu Tianshan said with a laugh.
"Don’t worry. If they dare, I’ll pay a personal visit to Spirit Sword Valley. I’d like to see just how tough they think they are," Chu Feng said.
Old Madam Yin Hua was already dead. If Spirit Sword Valley still dared to act arrogantly and didn’t know what was good for them, then Chu Feng wouldn’t be polite either. He’d just take them on directly.
If they weren’t afraid, why would Chu Feng be? It was impossible.
In the entire Martial Arts Realm, there was no one Chu Feng feared. If anyone dared to court death, Chu Feng was more than happy to oblige.
Chu Feng wasn’t even afraid of the old Sect Leader of the Cloud Mist Sect, who was about to face his Tribulation Crossing. Why would he fear others who hadn’t even come close to such an opportunity?
"Hahaha, good! That’s the spirit! When the time comes, I’ll go with you. We’ll charge in and out of their ranks and tear them apart, then we’ll snatch all their young women to warm our beds!" Chu Tianshan roared with laughter, looking absolutely delighted.
"You old coot. At your age, you’re still thinking about that stuff," Chu Feng said, speechless.
"I’m just shooting my mouth off, running my gums a bit. I wouldn’t dare touch the women from Spirit Sword Valley. That’s way too dangerous," Chu Tianshan said.
Soon, afternoon arrived. The competition continued all the way until evening before finally concluding.
By that night, news that Chu Feng had killed Old Madam Yin Hua of the Southern Region’s Spirit Sword Valley had spread to the other regions. Everyone had heard.
Inside the Venerable Hall of the Western Region, the Martial Arts Venerables from the Snow Sword Sect were overjoyed.
Now that Chu Feng had offended Spirit Sword Valley, he was sure to face a great deal of trouble in the future. They believed that even if Chu Feng didn’t die, his fate would be a miserable one. That was why they were so delighted.
"That idiot actually dared to offend Spirit Sword Valley. He truly doesn’t know his own limits. Does he really think his strength is that incredible?" Xue Wujian said with a loud laugh, looking at his second brother, Xue Fengjian.
"It’s not just Chu Feng. The entire Chu Family, and even the Celestial Sword Sect, are in for big trouble now. The Valley Master of Spirit Sword Valley won’t let this go. We’re talking about an Elder who was killed just like that. That old hag is sure to fly into a rage, and once she does, it’ll never end," Xue Fengjian said with a smirk.
Meanwhile, in the Northern Venerable Hall, four people were seated—three men and one woman.
"Friends from Spirit Sword Valley, we are in the middle of the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony. This course of action is unacceptable," the old man spoke.
"Venerable Xue Feng, that bastard Chu Feng killed an Elder of my Spirit Sword Valley in front of everyone! It was outrageously arrogant! Spirit Sword Valley cannot swallow this insult! Venerable Xue Feng, you promised our Valley Master years ago that if Spirit Sword Valley was ever in trouble, you would most certainly lend your aid!"
An old woman confronted the old man, her voice savage as she harshly questioned him.
