My Disciples Grind, I Get 100x Their Progress
Chapter 128: Enter the Breach
Lunari, an Alien race living in a world on the brink of destruction. With almost no hope of survival, a little rabbit girl from the Lunari Race decided to pass through a Breach and find another world to migrate to.
Her name was Monk. She had only just arrived a short while ago, and the moment she did, she had to hide at once, because her sharp instincts sensed a danger drawing near.
The danger itself turned out to be Julian and Felicya.
Monk felt she could avoid Julian, but she had no confidence that she could avoid the little girl in his arms.
That was why Monk decided to come out right away, begging for forgiveness with deep worry, hoping she would not end up with a terrible fate.
Fortunately, what she met was a being who could be reasoned with.
"T-that’s why Monk came here, to help Monk’s Race, which will soon perish if it can’t find a place to escape to."
After listening to the rabbit girl’s story, Julian could not help feeling a little sorry for her.
It also reminded him that if it was not dealt with quickly, this planet, this world, might meet its end in the same way as the place where the rabbit girl lived.
For a moment Julian fell silent. He looked at the rabbit girl, who seemed somewhat worried, her frightened gaze occasionally darting toward Julian and Felicya.
Meanwhile, in his arms, Felicya was merely awake, her eyes open listlessly, showing no interest in speaking or even moving her body the slightest bit.
’So what now?’
Julian wanted to ask that, about why this little girl wanted to come to this place and meet an Alien in the form of a rabbit girl.
Perhaps the person Felicya was looking for came from the same Race?
It was a wild thought, but that did not mean it was impossible. Julian only considered it briefly, then let out a small sigh.
"Um..." That was when Julian turned back toward the rabbit girl, who called out a little, her voice hesitant, before she spoke.
"If it’s alright... May I ask... Uh... Where are we now?"
’Where are we?’
Julian glanced around for a moment, and a faint smile appeared on his face.
"We are in a place called the Abandoned Territory."
"Abandoned? This place isn’t in use?"
Seeing Monk’s expression suddenly brighten as she took Julian’s words to mean a place that was uninhabited and unused, Julian blinked a little, then shook his head.
"No, it’s called abandoned precisely because it is filled with extremely powerful Invaders."
It was a pity that Julian had to crush the enthusiasm that had only just appeared in the rabbit girl. But Julian thought it was right to do so, considering that the rabbit girl herself was Rank-C.
Considering the dangers in this place, this girl probably would not be able to survive. Of course, the situation might be different if her kin on the other side of that Breach had a higher rank.
But well, still, Julian had to say it as a warning. What the rabbit girl did next was not something Julian could interfere with. He had already given the necessary warning.
The girl’s long ears suddenly wilted like a dead plant, her face lowering slightly as sadness clearly took over her expression.
"D-danger? Does that mean Monk’s family can’t migrate here?"
"That depends on you."
As he said that, Julian felt Felicya curl up slightly in his arms. For the first time, the girl tried to move, turning her face directly in front of Julian’s.
"....?"
Seeing her act like that left Julian confused for a moment. But after a few moments, Felicya opened her lips and spoke.
"This place is not safe."
Those words confused Julian for a moment.
"Not safe?"
Felicya nodded.
"Yes. Something is chasing."
Could it be those cultists? Or perhaps those on the side of the Aliens who were planning to hunt down and capture Felicya?
Julian’s face creased as he tried to think about how great the risk of danger might be. That was a shortcoming that came with him, and one he always had to keep in mind whenever he was in a state where he could not feel even the slightest fear.
Looking at Felicya, Julian said somewhat hesitantly.
"So, what should we do?"
Since Felicya had been guiding him until now, Julian thought the girl might already know where to go and what they should do.
Julian’s guess was not wrong. Felicya already had a plan of her own. However, Julian simply did not understand, was what Felicya said truly possible?
I mean, why not?
Julian looked at the tiny index finger, which pointed to the middle of the shelter, right where the Breach had opened.
Julian found himself frozen for a moment when he heard Felicya’s voice.
"Enter."
Directly, Felicya had just asked Julian to enter the Breach, something he had never once considered.
Because of that, Julian found himself struggling for a moment, weighing the risks and thinking about what might happen.
"...Is that possible?" he asked.
".....?"
"Is it possible for a human to pass through a Breach?"
Felicya did not answer directly. Her gaze merely rested on Julian without any emotion except laziness.
Then she turned her head, looking at somewhere in the distance.
"No time."
She said it briefly, and at that moment, once again, Julian felt something binding his body.
It was a strange feeling, because when he looked down, all he saw was a mass of reddish energy enveloping his body.
"K-kyaa—!"
On the other side, Monk was experiencing something similar. The rabbit girl’s body was lifted up, revealing her face turned panicked and frightened.
But before she could respond to anything, before Julian could even question what Felicya was about to do.
Julian felt his instincts scream as something terrifying was moving closer.
It was so terrifying that Julian’s skill, the one he had obtained from Ilunia, the skill that let him make the right choice at any given moment, with fate telling him, was now screaming.
Julian did not hesitate. The skill activated and drained a certain amount of Mana, and in the next second, he heard the voice of fate whisper.
"Enter the Breach."
Sweat dripped down his cheek. He did not need to decide whether to enter or not. Because at that moment, his body itself was lifted, then dragged at tremendous speed into the crack of the Breach itself.
